If you are looking for an eye exam that feels more like an unexplained medical interrogation, Fratto Optometry is 100% the place for you.
I believe their marketing claims 'walk-ins welcome,' but in reality its more like 'wait-ins required.' Even with a scheduled appointment, I wasn't seen on time, yet they somehow thought it necessary to take the time to ask about my medical history for a simple vision update/check. I agreed to the eye exam due to Fratto telling me they do not want to use the exam & report from my prior optometrist and should just get an updated vision test done.
I returned a few days later for the scheduled appointment, only to be left waiting 10 minutes past the scheduled time. It does not help that I arrived 20 min early, checked in and still was not seen on time. Then the staff attempted to take my blood pressure and questioned me on my blood pressure, medications, allergies, and strangely enough my hearing. When I asked why these were relevant to a standard eye exam, I was met with a blank stare and was told "that's just what the doctor asks for."
If you want an office where the staff is actually trained on how to effectively answer basic questions customers might have regarding the exam, the questions being asked, patient privacy or just general relevance, just keep driving..... I walked out, went across the street to Mark Christensen OD, and I was seen immediately (a genuine walk-in) without issue and within 5 minutes I was working with the doctor receiving excellent service from everyone, and without being asked about my allergies, past medical history, blood pressure or about my ears and hearing.
