My first visit today at EBright Optometry.. I highly recommended! I met Dr. Bennett for my eye exam . She was patient, thorough, and very knowledgeable. She answered all my questions ( I had a lot ) with ease and confidence. From Bella the receptionist who took care of my check-in, Kristel who did my retinal imaging photos, and checked my vision. Extremely informative, Explained what she was doing beforehand which made me feel so comfortable. Lorena assisted me in picking my glasses including the expense and even sketched me a picture of features that I wanted to include in my glasses with Ivette the office manager recommending the frame that I eventually chose. Although I had not read any reviews about this particular Optometry business, EBright in Vallejo, I thought I would give them a try. Unfortunately, things didn't work out for me. Among the egregious disappointments was an incorrect optometric Rx and wrong measurement for my progressive lenses. The frames I selected with staff encouragement were too large for my face and rest painfully on my cheeks. Additionally and again unfortunate for me the lab would not allow me to select an alternate frame, although they had to replace the original lenses due to the incorrect eye exam prescription. Staff at Ebright would not advocate for me. Their advocacy could possibly have been helpful in changing the labs decision given the wrong prescription and need to replace the glasses. So, my ultimate outcome is a pair of every expensive glasses that I cannot wear because they rest uncomfortably and painfully on my cheeks. Which, by the way may, over time cause bruising on my face. I highly recommend that you avoid this business and select from other options, with positive reviews. read more

Their glasses are a complete ripoff. I spent around $350 (even with my insurance) for a pair of progressive lenses. I can no longer use them because of the scratches, and yes that $350 included scratch resistance. I am not even especially tough on my glasses. They just sit on my bedside table, when not in use. I have bought glasses online from Zeelool for a fraction of that price that have held up far better. Zero comparison. I cannot believe I wasted so much money. It shouldn't be legal to sell someone on lenses with all the perks and then provide the most cheaply done garbage. That's a lot of money to go down the drain in this economy. I have worn contact lenses for the last (14) years. I believe that my vision is less obscure when I use contact lenses. Because of my near-sightedness, when at work I have only been able to utilize a single lens in my left eye; since my work encompasses reading very small numbers on a computer screen, glancing at my watch and responding to text messages on a frequent basis. This year with the expertise of Dr. Yu, along with the appropriate fitting of multi-focal lenses; I have been able to use both of my contact lenses for driving, working, as well as, casual reading. Optical quality of the Trivex low dispersion lenses is superb. The people are pleasant and helpful BUT The frames are overpriced ($304) Chinese Junk. Apparently they cannot be adjusted to hug the sides of the head, and the ear ends do not wrap far enough around the ears to keep the left side from sliding off. The opticians were unable or unwilling to bend enough of an offset into the temple pieces to remedy this. The right side hangs on well around my monaural hearing aid, but the left temple slips off very easily. I'm debating taking them back, but hate to limp along with old scratched backups. If I do decide to take them back this afternoon, I will write a followup telling how that goes. EPILOG: After making an offer to find frames of non-Chinese origin that fit better, I told them that the unsatisfactory Chinese frames (on the selection visit, I was told that Chinese is all they have) have me burnt, and that I intend to send an old frame and my prescription to replacealens.com for Trivex replacement lenses. I told them that the fault is with their purchasing agent. Ebright refunded my payment to the card I had used to pay for the unsatisfactory product. A good resolution to a bad situation. read more

Dr. Yu is also very sweet. They both go into detail About the findings of your eye exam and if there has been a shift in your prescription. The office manager Ivette has 25+ years experience working as an optician. She she knows her stuff. She is also amazing at helping with frame selection. The office has a wide variety of frames as well. They have new equipment that helps find floaters or any other underlying issues you may have to ensure your eyes are healthy. 10/10 read more

The Dr. also took the time to address concerns and lay out solutions, she mapped out my prescription options and helped me make an informed decision. I felt like I was actually being cared for. When it came to choosing frames Yvette and Ramona let me go through a number of options from their inventory. I went back and forth, back and forth...and back and forth again lol and they stayed patient and friendly until I was set on a choice, no pressure at all, that was cool I really appreciated that. They have great COVID-19 protocols, limiting the number of patients being seen at a time. They have their door locked so you have to knock to be let in. They have hand sanitizer readily available, the staff clean the chair after you're seen as well as clean the frames you try on. They have a great selection of frames for both glasses and sunglasses, including high-end ones like Gucci. They also have contact lenses. The staff are very courteous and professional. This was our first visit at Ebright Optimetry. I was glad to know they were able to schedule us before end of the year. As we arrived we were greeted right away. My son and I prefilled our questionnaires sent to our email prior to our visit. During my appointment Lorena helped to get all the images taken. She was AMAZING!
