I was unable to be do an appointment on that day, but he said I can book one right then and there or online. He informed me that they do eye exams every 15 minutes or so and that their last exam is usually around 6pm. I ended up booking it online and it was pretty straightforward and easy. I booked one for the latest time possible, as I was commuting back to Vacaville right after work. The place itself is in a plaza where there are a lot of stores -- groceries, department stores, etc, so parking there is in abundance. The appointment itself was really fast. I'm unsure of the optometrists's name but she was able to advise me on a lot of things and also informed me that I had acute astigmatism. The optometrist I used to go to for years before moving to Vacaville never informed me or it was just never there, but still, I really appreciated the optometrist letting me know. She asked if I had any questions and since I had none, that concluded the exam. The process of picking out frames was what took the longest. The other employee listened to my preferences and helped me with selecting frames and helped with what looked best on my face and what didn't. Overall, it was a really great experience & the staff were extremely helpful. Definitely would be a returning customer.

Through all these years, my encounters with the staff have been courteous and professional. More importantly, I appreciate the consistent customer service level extended by the staff. As an example of their customer service, I accidentally broke a lens this past summer that was just replaced in late 2023. I was expecting to pay full price for the replacement even when the staff informed me that she will see what can be done. To my surprise, I was informed that the lens was still under warranty and would be replaced without additional cost. As a result, I would recommend Vacaville Optometric Center for any of your vision care needs.

He was also kind enough to ask his manager if I could swap out lenses in one of the frames to a polarized lens. The manager agreed at a discounted price provided I agreed to a final sale. That was an unexpected surprise as that customizing option isn't even available on their website yet due to how new the frame style is. I wound up buying a pair of sunglasses (Fingerprint Slivers) but leaving the stock lenses in. I have worn nothing but Oakleys for the better part of 15 years now. I haven't purchased a pair in over a year however. After telling this to the employee he introduced me to the Oakley Type O club. It rewards customers with points and special sales / events. The experience left such a bad impression I canceled any further appointments. I then got a reminder of appointment so I called back in and reached a very professional front office person who explained things and asked me several times to change my review based on past performance I felt somewhat pressured as I told her I had just gotten out the hospital and she kept asking for that change to happen that day. I also had appointment coming up the next day with another office. I originally called because I lost my glasses and need to get my prescription. I was quoted out 15 days and even then could not see Dr. Sandler. Frustrated and disappointed I called somewhere else I found an office downtown and got in, in less than a week. Thinking about my conversation I really thought about changing the review. I looked at other reviews and recalled a previous circumstance where I was falling to sleep repeatedly during an appointment for my diabetes the person conducting the test got frustrated lead me out of the office. I fell asleep in the car on the way home called my daughter who called 911 and I found out I was suffering from sepsis ( while blood stream poisoned? I can't believe she allowed me to leave and I was unaware of my surroundings. I did notice the long waits, the being called by name only to wait again in a different are. Dr. Bradley is the reason for the positive reviews and the reason I've stayed so long. My trip to the other office went so fast I was called in immediately told I didn't need to come in multiple times a year and as a bonus Refractory treatment wasn't an additional $75 dollars, it was part of the exam.
