Alex responded to my phone call within a few minutes of my leaving a message and actually showed up and fixed both my front gate locks within a couple hours from the time I made the initial call! He was so nice, prompt and professional, even making payment easy for my Boomer brain!! I highly recommend him. read more

I locked myself out of my car today and called a few different locksmiths. Alex answered the call so fast and was such a great help with his knowledge and warm personality. He was able to drive to my location and unlock my car so fast, I didn't even notice it was burning outside! I would definitely recommend Nova Locksmith for the AMAZING prices and even MORE AMAZING service from Alex! Thank you Alex! read more

Alex was an amazing locksmith! Responded super fast, got to my place in 15 minutes, and opened up my door immediately. He was courteous and extremely professional. If I ever lock myself out again (God forbid), I will definitely call him up again. read more

Had a medical emergency with a friend who needed me to bring him pain medicine but I left the apartment so fast to respond, I left my keys at the apartment and didn't have my back up copies with me. Came back home and realized the problem and decided to wait for apartment manager. After 3 hours of waiting at my apartment door, I realized he may be out of town. I was concerned that I also might have left the keys at the pharmacy which would be hard to get to as they may have closed, but I decided the keys had to be still in the apartment. My neighbor helped me find Alex and he arrived in just 20 minutes. He was great, brought his tools up stairs and was friendly, respectful as well as extremely professional. He knows exactly what he was doing and had my door open in about 2 minutes. To my relief the house keys were where I normally left them so I could breathe again. Alex and I then spent a nice time chatting as we had a lot in common both entrepreneurs with strong interest in current events. He could have taken off as soon as he opened the door but he seemed to know I needed to destressed and his friendly conversation certainly helped with that. I would recommend Alex to anyone in an emergency lock situation as his skills and customer service I found were excellent. read more

I need to rekey locks. Alex was professional from start to finish. I would hire him again He was knowledgeable, friendly, and fast. Plus, he wore his mask the whole time. read more

Called Alex and within 30min I was back in my apartment. 5 star service across the board!

I don't usually leave reviews but I wanted to be sure to leave one for Nova Locksmith. First of all, Alex was very responsive from the start and answered my questions and came out to meet me on the same day. Instead of charging me for things I didn't need, he gave me some options which saved me money. I was very impressed with the work Alex did and would definitely hire him again in the future! Great work and great value! read more

I called and got a quote over the phone. The agent said it would be $60 to change a lock and to get one of their locks it would cost $140. I got a call for an appointment at noon. Then another call that they would be late and will be here at 12:30pm. No show. So I texted the locksmith and he said he would be here at 1pm. Luckily, I wasn't in a hurry. He showed up after 1pm. But got me upset and writing such a review is that when the locksmith got here, he quoted me another amount which was from about $300 to $600 for a simple job of about ten minutes. Otherwise, it was a good job. At the end we used our new lock that we bought at the store. We paid the locksmith after all this $180 cash. I would not call them again for service. They charge a service charge just to show up and kept me waiting. read more

Alex is incredible to work with. I lost my mail key and hired him to replace my mail box. He was very punctual to our appointment and did not use any large tools to create loud noises since I live in a shared apartment building. It was about 95$ for him to come and replace my mailbox key. He did it in under 5 minutes as well. Thank you again Alex! I would totally hire him again read more

My front door lock got jammed and the key would not turn this morning when leaving for work. I called Nova only because someone had said they show up in 20 minutes. True enough- the picked up the call in 1st ring, showed up in 20 minutes, fixed everything in 5 minutes. Super nice & efficient. Great experience. Highly recommend. read more

I was researching locksmiths at 11 pm on a Saturday and by 11 am Sunday morning my lock was fixed! Alex is super friendly and efficient, cautious and conscious regarding Covid safety, he is responsive and communicative, and most importantly, he got the job done! I'm thrilled as I thought this would be one of those annoying tasks that could drag on to get fixed, but it was swift, easy, and the lock issue is resolved. I highly recommend Nova Locksmith. Thanks Alex! read more

Super responsive. He replied to my yelp quote request and problem was resolved within 1.5hrs of initial inquiry. First contact at 11:55am. I opted for service window of 2-4pm. He called to see if I was available at 1pm and was done at 1:20pm. Note, this was definitely not an urgent issue. Knew what he was doing. A Thule key broke off in a Kryptonite lock (it wasn't me - I swear) and I couldn't unlock the bike locked to a rack. My options: either key remnants could be picked out or cut the lock. He took a look and in 2 nano-seconds he was able to clear the debris. He also made sure that the lock still worked before leaving. Reasonably priced. I went with him because he was first to respond, but subsequent quotes came in higher, so it was a win-win for me. Highly recommend! read more

Im a busy physician, and part time landlord. Alex was Quick to respond, was the second locksmith i called. First locksmith quote was 80 dollars more, and pressured me to commit to having him come. I needed a mailbox key done, with the old lock drilled out (lost the key). Alex was cool, calm, professional, and accommodating to my schedule. He was familiar with my building, so i think he does a lot of work in the SOMA/Southbeach area. Definitely everything i expected out of a specialist/professional, and at an honest price. He's a Nice guy, even made me an extra key to help me out with my two tenants each wanting separate keys. You wont be disappointed. read more

Alex was awesome! He came on time, wore a mask for COVID worries, and he changed two of our office locks in such a short period of time. Very kind and professional :) read more

If I could give more than 5 stars to them I would. I had a lock that wasn't working correctly, so I looked through Yelp and found Nova Locksmith. I definitely understand the 5 star rating for this company. I spoke with Alex and made an appointment for him to come look at the lock. He called when he was on his way. Took a look at the lock and gave me options, to take the lock out and change it would cost $$$$, so he said he would open it up and try something else. He took a look and did some adjustments and the lock works better than it ever has and cost me very little. He was so friendly and helpful and it was great that he offered to try something that would save me money but fix the lock. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great locksmith. read more

My car keys were stolen and I needed help getting into the car. Alex came out promptly and was super flexible with timing - because I had to change our meeting time to accommodate for work. The job was relatively simple, but he did it quickly and efficiently! He also gave me a bunch of great ideas about how to keep my vehicle safe. read more

If I could give 10 stars I would. Great guy in addition to an expert in all things related to locks. I never really expect much personal engagement when a service person comes to the apartment (I'm working, they're busy, etc...) But Alex showed up on time, wearing a mask, and got right down to business with our patio door. Once that was completed, I expected some short superficial banter and then we both go on our way. Alex is a very personable guy with extensive knowledge about an array of subjects. He is interested and interesting. Even my husband came out of his office to join in the conversation -- spanning books, religions, countries, human nature.... I even ordered a book based on his suggestion (Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Harari, Yuval Noah). I'm kind of wishing we have more lock issues. He was that interesting! Give your locks --- and brain a refresh -- call Alex! (And by the way, this was a 10 minute conversation TOPS) read more

Alex did an AMAZING job fixing the door handle to my office that was cut off by someone in my neighborhood. He was extremely responsive and professional. He was able to quickly order parts for my door handle, which we all know there is a huge delay in construction supplies. I appreciate his due diligence and professionalism. 10/10 recommend him for any locksmith job! THANK YOU SO MUCH ALEX! read more

Alex showed up in 15 minutes and unlocked my door in less than 5. Would highly recommend.

My favorite locksmith ever! We had a 100-year-old lock that that needs replacement and got stuck, and we desperately wanted to preserve the antique look of the door. Eddy did the job brilliantly, with great care, leaving us with a working antique lock that looks marvelous, works perfectly, and someday will have to be replaced -- but not yet. Extremely responsive business, easy to get an appointment. Eddy called before coming. Great guy. Real craftsmanship. Perfect experience. HIGHLY recommended! read more

Alex helped me out last year when I needed keys changed. He was professional and fairly priced so I kept his info. This week, I had an urgent need to get special locks installed on my doors. Alex accommodated my appointment the next day, Saturday. He arrived early and got all the work done quickly plus did some additional locks and duplicate keys. I was finally able to have peace of mind now that Alex got the work done. I will continue to keep him in mind for any future locksmith needs. read more

Was way overdue to replace the locks on the door of my store. Glad I found Nova! Alex was on time, super efficient and we had a new secure lock and 10 keys in no time! Alex was able to accommodate the schedule and come a bit later in the afternoon and was beyond kind and professional. Thanks so much and we will happily continue to use and recommend your business! read more

Aviad, gave me an eta of 12min and came perfectly on time. Told me the estimate of unlocking my room over the phone was mostly ~$120. Got me in my house in 1min. Thank you so much! Better price than most that I've seen on yelp of more than $350. read more

Our front door lock broke with a key stuck inside and Alex was able to come replace the barrel within a couple of hours, which was no problem as I had an alternate way into the house.
