Extensive tap list, gastro pub, truffle burger with blue cheese. That's what was on the menu this day. I love a good burger, one cannot go too wrong with a burger and a brew. This place is upscale, and the pricing for that does show in comparison to other places in town, but again, you get what you pay for. This day, was a wonderful sunny day so we sat outside and enjoyed a little bit of light. The menu is pretty extensive, you have a lot of the staples you would expect to find on any gastro pub menu. The tap list was also quite large, almost reminiscent of a pour house. Pricing for the area, is about appropriate, however I am not totally sold on the pricing for the lunch crowd. Although service was prompt and appropriate, the costs for a "lunch" in the $20+ dollar range is something that one has to think about a little more than to make this an everyday stomping ground. Either that, or I need to ask the boss for a raise! I would like to go back and see this place in the evening and try some of the dinner fare to see how it stacks up against other more established locations and places. read more

Across the street from Izumi and kiddy corner from b2 wine bar sits a wonderful addition to eugene! Very updated, up to date menu and classy joint. Prices are on the higher end but the food is solid overall. Truffle burger - - simply phenomenal. 5 stars easy. Cooked superbly and well balanced. Bun is top notch as well. Parmesan garlic fries - - lacking, the fries just didn't have it. They were a bit soft and lacking flavor. Garlic was either raw or undercooked and was a bit much. Parmesan on top was good though. Duck fat chips - - very good app. Clearly house fried chips with very tasty gravy, if I could get some more of that id die a happy man. Evenly dispersed. Just a well done dish. Service was super friendly and well trained. Pro tip - - Could use some blinds, sun was in my wife's eyes and had to lean forward the whole meal. read more

This place has impressed me. Eugene doesn't have a bunch of nice non college scene places to hang out at, and I am glad North Fork came around. Their attention to detail and communication from the kitchen to the front of house was the first indicator that this place knew what they were doing. The server knew what she was doing and had information on every menu item. Drinks are a bit spendy but out of three drinks we had it was all great. Food was impressive. We had a burger and the seasonal fish which were all done amazingly. The fresh caught chinook salmon wasn't over done and dry like a lot of places. The burger patty was seasoned and nicely put together. The fries do look over done but do not have the burnt taste a lot of places do. All in all it is a bit spendy, but you can take your parents here, bring friends for a good night out, or just relax. It's not exactly the biggest place but ample seating. Note when I went there was a D1 softball team having dinner here, if that helps you imagine the space. North Fork has my business and I will be returning. read more

An unexpected gem. The drinks were delicious. The food was fresh and amazing. Our server was charismatic. And the restaurant is just beautiful. To top it off, our food came out at the same time and the same temperature. This is often underestimated but so, so important. Always yummy, and even when we walked in with an hour til close and nearly nobody seated, they treated us like they were happy to see us! Having been a server I hate doing this to other servers but we were starving and not yet close enough to home to just wait it out. My husband had thought he'd gotten ranch with his fish and chips and the server gladly brought him another tarter sauce and never said a word... the first was tarter sauce and he didn't realize it. The house has no ranch dressing But they rolled with it and we (she and I) only mildly rubbed him later when he figured it out. My Husband & I were traveling through Eugene, OR and wanted to stop for some good beer and food when we discovered North Fork Public House. The only complaint I have is that it's 14 hours away from where I live. Absolutely incredible! My husband had the North Fork burger and I had the seasonal pasta, both were fantastic. Stopped in for a little breakfast here on a Saturday morning. Parking in this area is always a little tricky but at 10am it was a breeze. The decor inside was beautiful. It definitely feels like a hip neighborhood tap house. My husband had the breakfast burrito which was huge and delicious according to him. I opted for the eggs Benny and I must say, the fact that it is served on a seasoned bread made all the difference. It adds this depth of flavor that you are not getting with a plain old English muffin. Potatoes were great and I really like the dark roast they serve. The breakfast menu is small but lots of flavor is packed in those few items. I would definitely eat here again for breakfast and will be back to try lunch and dinner also! read more

We were there Sunday night of a three day weekend and had fantastic service and the food was excellent. We met some family and we're there for 2 hours. Tried a flatbread, drinks (wonderful), a bottle of wine, then 3/4 of us got steak frites with a side salad. So good! The dessert was the highlight: the table ordered two of the brownies with cherry ice cream and we all LOVED it. Definitely recommend. read more

We have been to North Fork Public House many times but lately have had some disappointing experiences that may deter us from returning. The duck fat chips, pretzels, and nachos are amazing and we have never had a bad meal there. The rotating beer section has also been a great draw, too. A couple months ago, my wife and I attempted to have dinner there on a Friday night. It was understandably busy, but the hostess told us it would be an hour and a half wait (for two?!) and suggested we make a reservation in the future. Fast forward to this week where we followed that suggestion and tried to make a reservation. We were told that North Fork does not accommodate reservations for parties fewer than six. This was confusing, since we were essentially turned away previously for not doing something that we apparently can't even do. Regardless, we hustled home to ensure we could get in before it was too busy. When we checked in, we were asked for our first and last name. Why? We were being seated right away. What does North Fork do with that information and why do they need it? We enjoyed our meal; the wedge salad was incredible. We planned to stay for awhile and have a couple more beers but our waitress brought our check to us almost as soon as we finished eating, without considering, or even asking, that we may have wanted another round. Then, when looking at our check, the suggested gratuity listed on the receipt was incorrect -- our bill was $69 and the suggested 18% was listed as $13.50 (see photo of receipt attached). 20% of our bill would have been $13.80; how many people fall for that and pay more than they intended? While the food and beer is awesome here, the questionable ethics and customer service practices have most likely turned us away from returning again. read more

Nice outside seating area. The staff was great & made sure we had all we needed. Everyone enjoyed the Fish & Chips. I had the Flatbread with andouille sausage & Granny Smith apple. It was tasty & interesting flavor blends. It had a nice garlic paste sauce with red onions. I am leaving 2 stars for the service, not for the food. I have worked a lot in the restaurant and service industry, my husband is a chef and this was one of our favorite places to go in Eugene. The food is always awesome, but the last time I came in on Saturday the 11th, I left feeling like a burden on the waitstaff, instead of welcome. Our server seemed more than unenthused and as if she didn't even want to be there, or have us there. My friend and I had zero modifications to our food, yet left feeling like a giant pain in the butt to anyone that helped us that night. The server who dropped off our food never asked if we needed anything else and our server never checked on us after we got our food. Talking to my husband about it added how must the kitchen feel they are putting out such bomb food and the staff is so unwelcoming and unfriendly! It's a shame on the good food! I will not be returning for some time, maybe there will be new staff in 6 months. I do not have to go out to eat to eat well, so why would I spend more money to just be treated like garbage. It looks like from the other recent reviews, I'm not the only one experiencing this. No one should leave an establishment feeling so crappy after eating such great food and spending hard earned money. This is my favorite restaurant in Eugene. The food is awesome. I would describe it as modern American. I do wish the menu was bigger because I feel like I've eaten everything on the menu already. The cocktails are also delicious. I always have great service even though they're always busy when I go. The setup is very modern & cute too. Went there for dinner. Parking in the lot was easy. Always liked the neighborhood and other restaurants in the area. This one is nice too and we will definitely come back for brunch next year. The clams were super tiny, although tasty. Probably not worth $14. Liked the Brussels sprouts that the four of us shared. I liked my fish but ended up trading it for the jambalaya since he thought it was overly spicy (but aren't jambalayas suppose to be spicy?) My son came back a week later for dinner. The frickles are spear cut and come with a spicy dipping sauce. I ordered the burrata and roasted beet salad. It was delicious and filling. The rest of the party had the fish and chips. Fish was great the steak was served cool with what I felt was a chimichurri sauce better on the side than poured over the sliced steak, which was already not warm so the cold sauce didn't help. This little area off of Coburg road has become a hot spot with lots of fun restaurants, and North Fork has been a great addition to this area! We wondered in midday on a Sunday, and were excited to find out happy hour was all day! More upscale pub with northwest roots and local flare- not a huge menu, but we enjoyed everything we had. We had a half order of nachos (which was still huge by the way...also freaking delicious), and two of the burgers including the truffle burger. Cocktails were unique, and the local wine and beer list was extensive. Multiple t.v's and a huge screen is projected on one of the walls, making it a great spot to watch a game!
