Most people had to Creswell to go to the Creswell bakery. Which is an admirable motivation, but if you happen to be in the area or you want to make a trip to this cute little town for more than baked goods I can't recommend this place highly enough. The decor is so clever and inviting. Lots of color and great detail details that enhance the experience. The space is small, but doesn't feel cramped. We had a table of yeah, is it ready? The food was excellent. We got a reservation on short notice on a Saturday night. As a local to Creswell we had tried this restaurant once last year but had problems finding days it was open. Our recent visit was great. The owner had wine recommendations. We tried the Caprese crostini which was nice. I had the halibut with pea risotto. Fabulous! My husband had a beef dish with pasta. I'm so hoping it was just a bad day in the kitchen. We chose a Thursday evening for dinner. It wasn't late and only 2 other tables had dinners. We ordered the pear and something flatbread for an appetizer. It was burnt and over sauced. Super sweet. My friend had the Gorgonzola pasta with chicken. Sauce was so rich she didn't eat 1/4 of it. I found the sauce salty. I ordered a hamburger with blue cheese and house fries. I requested medium fineness. The patty was burnt on one side. I had to use a knife to wedge a section off to take a bite. It was not hot. The center was room temperature. I stuck my finger in the middle and it was room temperature. I told our server. She asked if I wanted a new meal prepared or to reheat. I chose reheat as my companion was already eating and I didn't want to hold up her meat. Patty came back hot but only the bite on top. The cheese was completely melted and the center was still room temperature. I'm baffled on how they managed that. And of course, the fries were cold by that time. I gave up. It just wasn't worth continuing to attempt a properly prepared meal. I spent $48 (appetizer and burger) and feel cheated. That was all the bad stuff. On the plus side, restaurant is really cute. We stopped by for dinner last week. Didn't know what to expect, so we decided to try it out. I had pork and noodles. I didn't like the sauce at all, it tasted like wine, & the portion was pretty small for the mid $20 price. My wife got the special, which was the same noodles, but with blue cheese sauce and (I think) shrimp. It was a much larger portion and I ate about half of hers. It was much better than mine. Definitely a hidden gem of a restaurant! Seasonal menus with entrees that are well put together. Service was fantastic! My wife and I were visiting the area and thought we would check out Pazzo. Both of our dishes were great (brined pork and salmon). The dishes were well thought out and had good presentation. Taste was outstanding. The type of dishes you would find in chef driven restaurants in Dallas/Chicago/NYC without the $50-60 price tag. Smaller restaurant with only about 20 seats. It was a Wednesday fairly early so the restaurant was only half full. I could imagine it being a little loud fully packed, but our experience was nice. The only thing I would do differently is order our dishes medium rare but they were both fantastic done medium. read more

The service is attentive without being obnoxious and the quality and presentation of the food will exceed your expectations. No bar, but they offer beer and wine and very reasonable corkage. Again, the food was amazing! The catch of the day was halibut (blackened) over a sweet corn purée. Incredible! Hangar steak was cooked to perfection and topped with chimichurri. We were a party of seven. The restaurant seats about 22 and 4 more seats at the bar area. I highly recommend a reservation if you have a larger group. All our meals were delicious and cooked to perfection. Our server was fantastic as to suggest the recommended way to enjoy the specific dish, usually med rare. You can trust Chef Scott gets it done perfectly. We enjoyed salmon, melt in your mouth pork chop, coque au vin, duck, chicken gizzards and mussels. I have dined here now twice for breakfast. Tried their Montecristo and Corned Beef Hash. Both were unique take offs of what I am used to as standards. The Monticristo is not deep fried in custard egg but a fish batter. Crispy, Impressive size and tasty. The hash I don't think had any corn beef in it, which made it a welcome surprise, actually was hand cubed beef, loaded with veggies and potatoes, topped with two fried eggs. Plenty of parking next door at the local library. Friendly staff, all tables were taken Friday night at 6pm. Fried pickles were super thin cut, I liked the coating. Felt very from scratch which was awesome. Portion was a tad underwhelming though...I wanted more! Burger was average, bun was a little dry and would have benefitted greatly being toasted or warmed up. Meat and ingredients were good but overwhelmed by the mediocre bun. Loved the homeade pickles. Fries were a touch underwhelming. I did like the ketchup, it was thick. For a 15 dollar burger I wanted more though. Coq au vin was decent. Chicken was ok, goat cheese polenta really was the star of the plate, I enjoyed this part alot. Mushrooms were solid. Not sure I loved the cherry sauce that accompanied it though. 16 dollars, I'd get this dish again. LOVE the family feel of this place. You could see the chefs son in the back helping out his dad. An upscale little hideout like this in the little town or Creswell? Well, I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, but it has now been done and Pazzo did it! I stopped in and was told that it would have been better if I had a reservation. In Creswell, who would have thunk it? As it turned out, I was totally impressed with the food. The menu was pretty small and limited but high end dishes. I was tempted to go for their burger but, dang it, that Salmon plate was calling to me so I went for it and I'm damn glad I did. With my being a yelper I should know what all that fancy stuff was that came with it, such as, whatever vegetable it was or the, urrrr, the lentils maybe? I dont know but damn, it was all very tasty and delicious. The waitress was super friendly and right there on the spot when I asked for her suggestions. She was great and I tipped her accordingly. The place is small? indeed, it was very small with a small town atmosphere but with a small but high end menu with prices to match. I grilled the waitress about the reservations situation and she said that If you are going there with a small party, to call ahead and make a reservation or it could be up to an hour wait for a table. The bathrooms? The place was so small I wasn't sure they had bathrooms and since I didn't have to go I didn't ask about them, so take your chances there. In the end I was very impressed with Pazzo and will visit again as soon as I can get back there. read more

We arrived right on time for our 6pm reservation and within minutes all the tables were full. The space is very small and, with all the tables full, it was very loud. We passed on dessert mainly because we could hardly have a conversation. The chicken thighs on polenta was a nice dish and we enjoyed the grilled Ceasar Salad except that it was hard to eat. Apparently grilling the romaine toughens it so it wasn't easy to cut and we ended up eating most of it by hand. The mystery of the night was the pasta dish we ordered. When it arrived it had a delicious sauce but that's all that was on the plate. We poked around and found one piece of pasta. We asked the server if there had been a mistake in the kitchen and she brushed us off saying the pasta was made by hand which didn't explain the absence of it! Since we didn't really have enough food we ordered a second dish of the "pasta" thinking that they'd get it right the second time around but again a plate of sauce arrived with perhaps a noodle or two buried in it. If that all weren't enough to keep me from coming back, the man at the bar carrying an exposed pistol was the final straw. I'll go back to Creswell for the Creswell Bakery but Pazzo is definitely off my list. read more

We are feeling blessed to have this creative gem in Creswell. The ling cod was super fresh, and succulent with slightly crisp golden exterior served on a bed of creamy mushroom risotto (done perfectly). The duck flatbread is the perfect combination of thin sliced rare duck with bitter notes from fresh arugula coupled with sweetness from balsamic and figs. Generous portion of steak was tender and flavorful. Super fresh and creative ingredients. Interesting and varied menu. Fantastic wines by the glass. What a relief to NOT have to fill up on a basket of bread. Staff is warm and friendly and diner decor a fun, relaxing change for this kind of cuisine. 5 stars in my book. Finally got the chance to stop in for some dinner the other night. This is definitely elevated food for this tiny town. The menu appears to be rotating and seasonal. Everything seems very farm to table. While the menu is not large there are several yummy looking options. First, I must say our server was a total doll. She was all smiles and very friendly which made for a nice atmosphere in this cozy spot. My husband and I both ordered the Sweet tea. It was brilliant the way they serve it unsweet but provide simple syrup to sweeten to your liking. I seriously was so thankful for this because while my husband is all about cramming so much sugar in the tea that your teeth ache, I like the more subtle barely there option. We had the fried pickles which were very good but very salty. My husband had the steak with chimichurri that he said was great. I had the salmon with pea and mint risotto. I loved the salmon, the mint and pea combo was a little overpowering combined with risotto but I liked the freshness of the dish. It was a fancy night out for us but I will say the price point at the end of the meal may be shocking for some. I love having this option close to home rather than having to go to Eugene. I saw while I was there that they have opened for lunch as well so the expanded hours will be nice. read more
