The decor feels arbitrary and hasn't grown in the 3 years between my visits. The bartop is tiny despite plenty of wide open space in the venue, adding to that empty feeling. But it's the only tiki bar for miles and it has a unique tiki + horror theme that I appreciate: emphasizing creepy mugs, playing vintage Godzilla on the TV, and a collection of drinks named after monsters. They also have custom mugs for sale, which is always awesome to see. My partner enjoyed her Chinese Mai Tai, but my Bride of Frankenstein tasted like light cream. The service was good. They were professional and personable and bantered well with everyone around the bar. There seemed to be plenty of regulars making the rounds in the early afternoon. So if you're in Eugene and want a tiki drink, this is the place to go.

So we stood outside this random door for about a minute while he knocked again, and I finally said, "Babe, can we just come back tomorrow and say hi to the janitor then?" I had absolutely zero idea it was a speakeasy. When they opened the door I was shocked! This speakeasy is such a fun find in Eugene. It is super moody and dark inside in the best way, and the atmosphere feels very hidden and intentional. We tried a bunch of the small plates and every single one was delicious. I loved my cocktail, and I believe I ordered the Bee's Knees. It was so good. Overall, this place is a great experience. I would totally come back the next time I am in Eugene.

Beautiful decor inside and very nice service. Good choices of cocktails and light finger-foods. I ordered the Bean there, Done that : espresso martini, with vodka. I got the upgrade of Grey Goose vodka that brought the cocktail to a whopping $18. But it was delicious, and very pretty! My husband had his birthday and he ordered the Smoke and Mirrors cocktail which he really enjoyed. But the upgrade to Blanton #27 added a whopping $27 to this already expense $15 cocktail. Yes, it was nice, but no, it was not worth the $42 cocktail of about 4 sips.....For a special occasional like a milestone birthday I don't mind paying this, but that is too crazy to be worth it for just a regular "drink time".

This is the best place in Eugene for it. My only real complaint is the 2 item minimum order and the limited menu that doesn't change nearly often enough in my opinion, especially for a person like me who likes to go there multiple times a year to see a show, but who doesn't drink alcohol, doesn't eat gluten and would prefer to avoid eating meat, dairy and sugar as much as possible. There is only one salad and it is...iceberg lettuce? Oh dear. The availability or some herbal teas would be much appreciated (I can hear the staff groan, but hey wait till you reach middle age, lol). The doors open plenty early and if you care about where you sit, I recommend coming at least 45 min before the show starts if you want to sit closer to the front.
