They really only want customers who are going to fill the unit, leave, pay the rent every month but never need access to the stuff they store. The other day I had to pull half of my things out in order to access the item I was looking for and it took a good couple of hours and one of the office dudes comes wheeling along in that goofy golf cart to scold me about having my stuff in the hallway. What am I supposed to do with it? My rent is paid and I'm there working away and I am hassled why? The top building is always dirty, the lowest building attached to the office smells like an ashtray, I am talking the whole building b/c the office dudes sit in the first drive up unit and smoke and it's pretty likely anyone storing anything in that building is going to discover the stuff they stored smells like they are smokers. The guy with a unit right across from mine told me (as he was moving out) he found a bunch of rodent droppings all over his stuff inside his unit. My advice is take your business somewhere else this place will make you feel like you matter very little and you can get treated like that anywhere. I'm moving out as soon as I find a new storage place. Here is an update: since posting my review here, Sherlock Storage sent me an eviction e-mail stating that I violated the lease agreement and they cancelled my gate access and I can only get into my unit escorted by someone from the office during their office hours. This is not right!

They are always ready to answer any questions and they will help find the right locker options for you. The place is normally clean yet some of the equipment is missing or broke. For instance they don't have push carts in all the buildings so one must go on a hunt to find them. Then if you find one their is about a 40% chance it's broke. The rent for lockers. My rent never went up over the years however it was a bit pricey to begin with. The rents seem to be about 10 to 15% over the average. All in all with the heated lockers and the good security you can rest assured that your items are safe. I would recommend this establishment however I would strongly recommend looking at all options first to ensure you get the best bang for your buck. Note: the large trash cans are not to be used by customers they are for the local business)

Deplorable. This is on the corporate side, not local. But I am livid. It's one thing to go 30 days with out payment. Quite another to be treated, in THIS economy, like a ne'er do well / criminal for putting paying your house rent first over storage (and a storage that is hiked up in price every few months, without any option to negotiate.) As a whole, Public Storage needs to do FAR better, and treat its customers like they are valued, not just a paycheck.

This was my first and last experience with Public Storage (9000 NE Bothell Way Bothell, WA). I…read morewill start with the positives. The local staff are friendly and somewhat helpful. The facility is clean and well lit. It was somewhere to put my belongings during my move. Now the negatives. 1) Upon renting the unit, I was told by the staff the unit is considered "real estate", and the rental price may vary. Five months later the price went up 35%. Real estate in the greater Seattle area is hot, but 35% is just silly. I went on their website and rented another identical unit for less than what I rented the first unit for and moved my belonging from one to the other. Five months later they did the same thing with the second unit. Just know this if you rent a space. 2) To use the Public Storage app on your phone, the location services needs to be set to "Always" for it to work, most specifically for opening the doors on the elevator without punching in the security code. They are data mining your movements with this app. 3) Public Storage is not nearly as secure as they would lead you to believe. My unit was broken into. Both locks on the roll up door were in place and you wouldn't know someone had been inside. I found a large screwdriver and a utility knife blade on the floor in my unit, which they used to break in and cut the boxes open to see the contents. Upon reporting this to the staff at the front desk, I was told that they knew they were broken into in August and a fair number of units were entered. They used a crowbar to enter the building through the back door and with the large flat blade screwdriver, they slid the rolling doors away from the slot that the security bolt goes into. I tried it myself, not hard at all. My frustration with this - it's not very secure and they did not notify their clients that they might want to come in and check over their personal property so they could file a police report in a timely fashion. 4) I had just paid for the next months rent, but indicated I was moving my stuff out as soon as I could. The gal at the front desk told me she had arranged to get me a refund after talking to her District Manager. I thought that was great and a good step towards repairing my damaged faith in the company. Eight weeks go by, no refund. I made 3 different calls to the front desk staff asking them, what's up, they promised a return call, of which I have received none. 5) I'm having to waste my time writing this review, instead of saying, "They were great!". But you, as a possible renter should know, that there is a strong possibility of experiencing low integrity with this company.

I spent countless hours organizing my storage space and building shelving. I followed all of the rules, and yet just weeks before my price increase, management threatened to kick me out for "being there too much during business hours." Very bizarre. Great location. Nice facility. But my plans to rent long-term from this company certainly changed. I waited almost a year to post this review for fear of retribution, but I have long since severed my relationship with this company. I would not do business here again.

Scum!! Also it sucks. Elevators never work, there's NEVER enough carts. Here right now & had to defend my cart from being taken by someone who decided he's more important than everyone else. The bathrooms are often unusable (truly unusable, like poop covered). Don't plan on a bathroom here. Garbage. Tweakers. The regular fun Everett stuff. Don't let the newness & somewhat fresh paint fool you. It's just another horrible business taking your money & not repairing facilities. Also, the nice reviews you do see, it's because the employees who sign you up, beg you to write a review. They say they get bonuses from them or something. They really really push you to write a review. I'm glad I waited!! Knowing what I know, I would NEVER SIGN UP HERE!! Run. And again. The elevators don't work. Here right now. No elevators. And they don't care. Some people can't even access their units to move into/out of. Who can carry heavy boxes up/down stairs!!
