Just had North County Screen redo a broken screen and sliding screen door. We first bought a "custom" screen door at Home Depot that took 8 weeks to come in then was the wrong size. Reordered and got a product that broke the first day. For just a small amount more than the custom Home Depot screen, North County Screen came to my home measured and installed a far superior quality screen within ONE WEEK!! Bad communication. Initial phone call was good. Mike scheduled me next day at 9AM. He also text me 10 mins out. I replied, please park on the street as I have a steep driveway and I knew he had a trailer. But then he sends me a text message that he can't find parking and that he's leaving and I will have to find service else where and to find a screen door company that operates a truck and not a trailer. Well the first 5 companies I looked up on yelp. All operate with trailers. The whole time I had a 40-50 foot parking spot on my property in which he could of used. He never even made an effort to try or find a solution for service. Again, bad communication. I've since been able to find a company that regardless of where they have to park their truck and trailer will get my doors done. read more

This business is FANTASTIC and if I could give them 10 Stars I would. We needed to have two very large over sized screen sliding doors replaced. I went to Home Depot and Lowe's only to be told measure and bring that to us and if not correct then you have NO recourse. I wasn't comfortable with that because if I make a mistake then the screen door is on us. I called North County Mobile Screen and so VERY pleased with the response time and final product. Michael came out with a mini screen door on a Sunday so we knew what the final product would look like. He took measurements and included the entire door of which I would not have thought to do that. He said, "I will have your door by Tuesday and install on Wednesday". Less than a week I am a HAPPY camper. He keeps you informed and calls when he says he will like the day before he is going to install to let you know he has the door and ready to install the next day. He gives you a one hour window and he is VERY prompt. Does the install and makes sure the door works perfect and then he is gone. I can't tell you in this day and age how wonderful it is to do business with someone like Michael who has the old fashion work ethics. If I ever had to do another screen in this house his is the ONLY one I would call. He is also priced MUCH better than Lowe's and Home Depot. Thank you Michael for a fantastic result. read more

I needed to have a few window screens replaced and the screen on my patio door replaced. Contacted Mike and he returned my call stating the prices would be $30 for rescreening my windows and $80 for my screen door (Screen only on both). We set an appointment for 2 weeks out, He called the day before and left a message confirming our appointment. I was called to work that day and called Mike to let him know the screens would be in my backyard and since he had my phone number I gave him my neighbor's number as she works from home and would be available to help with any problems or concerns. I left a check for the amount he requested on the screens where he could find it easily. Upon from returning from work, I noted all screens were placed on their proper locations. Not inspecting them until 2 days later when I opened the windows to let in some fresh air, I noted that the screens seemed to be rather tight causing the sides of the frame to be bowed inward. I immediately called to ask if he could come by at his convenience and review the problem. He returned my call and informed me that the screens actually needed to be replaced as did the screen door. I asked why no one was informed of that and he said he was here to do the job I requested and since the check was already made out, he did just that. Now he said that he isn't going to do anything about my problem. I asked why he didn't contact me or my neighbor about the problem since she had a check and the funds needed for any further work. If he had called me I would have told him just replace them and my neighbor would have paid the difference. He stood by his guns and simply stated that that's what I wanted. I am not the expert, he is and if I had taken my car in for a tune-up and the dealership found that my engine was running bad I am sure they would have contacted me to let me know that it needed an engine, not perform the tune up and then call me. He replied, "That's in your mind". Appears that if there is no problem and all goes well he gets a good rating but if anything goes bad, you are on your own. If he had called and told me that everything needs to be replaced he would have been out $145.00. Now that's the sign of a great ("Expert". His word) businessman! read more

Mike, owner of North County Mobile Screen Service, showed up on time, was well mannered and dressed to work. He parked his mobile screen repair truck and trailer at the curb in front of my house, where he did all his work. He first took an inventory of the screens to be repaired or replaced and gave me a written estimate, which was exactly as he had quoted on the phone when I scheduled the work. I have a two story house and there was no additional charge for the upper floor screens. He volunteered, without me mentioning it, that he could straighten one screen frame, which I had thought would have to be replaced, thereby saving me some money. He manufactured one new screen to replace a missing screen. He also lubricated the rollers on my patio screen door at no extra charge. He told me the work would be complete in about two hours and he completed the work on time and I am very pleased with the new screens. Should the need arise I will definitely call Mike again. read more
