5 stars for food and service. I ordered a Salmon with baked potato and vegetables. Soup and salad. All were fresh and tasted good. My Server was Elizabeth Reyes. She is very knowledgeable about the menu and was very fast at getting my soup and salad. I got a refill of lemonade and I'm very happy with the service. The air conditioning was set to cold, which is great on a hot day in Riverside. As I payed I was greeted by Adriana who was very sweet. Allow me to speak highly of Emma! She was a breath of fresh air from the start to finish. I felt like a superstar the way she treated me, which was a rarity. Never have I ever felt so welcomed at such a fine establishment such as Norm's. Emma's great personality with outstanding customer service that was top tier. The ambiance was simple and relaxed. The T-bone steak dinner with the mashed potatoes and gravy and veggies raised the bar. Cheers to the chef! And the price was truly unbeatable. This was a perfect way to end my night. Closed after 11pm? Very disappointing because Norms is known for being one of the few places open all hours.

I went to this Norm's on a Saturday night at 5:20pm. The place was not busy at all and only one section of the restaurant was being used. The hostess saw me and my husband come in, but she did not acknowledge us as she grabbed two menus. Instead, she continued to have a conversation with her two friends sitting at the counter. The hostess continued her conversation, still holding onto the two menus but not acknowledging us. After nearly 5 minutes, we decided to leave. It was only after we turned and headed towards the door did the hostess ask "two"? She was obviously too busy with her conversation, I could only imagine the type of service we would have received there. read more

Don't bother to come here on a Sunday afternoon. The service is horrible. The place was empty but we still had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. It took forever to place our order and to get our food. First and last time ever coming here. Extremely disappointed with the service. The server did try to make it up but it was too late for making things right. read more

Norms! Took the papa to get his ribs. Really papa? Okay. It was what you'd expect from a diner..stick to the easy stuff. Classic interior and warm welcome, seated promptly. Not crowded and lots of open tables. Service was a little annoyed by the requests from our table. Almost borderline rude. Maybe it was a long day but it was before 1pm so maybe just an off day. NORMS Restaurant came in clutch on Christmas Eve. With slim pickings on Christmas Eve, we ended up at NORMS by default. It was NORMS or like a random McDonald's that was open that day lol It wasn't overly crowded, but there were definitely people there who were in the same predicament with being hungry and having nowhere to go for the holiday. I did feel bad for the staff though having to work the holiday. And you could tell that the waitress and staff were not super happy about being there. I get that though. I had to work Christmas Eve during the day- and it was a drag. I can't imagine having to work all night on Christmas Eve. So major props to the staff that had to work!! Our food was good. We ordered appetizers and burgers. The sampler platter was pretty good! Onion rings, mozzarella sticks, fried chicken, and fried shrimp. I had the onion rings and mozzarella sticks, they were good! My friends ate the chicken and shrimp and said it was good as well. My friend enjoyed his burger. Overall, this was a win- especially for Christmas Eve when everything is closed. read more

I took one of my friends to breakfast after a long night at work. We were debating between IHOP, Norms, Brandon's diner. We decided on Norm's thinking we're getting steak and pancakes. Then she saw this "7 for $ 5.99" menu sign and she said let's try it. Big mistake! I should've ordered the steak. I was very unhappy with my order. As soon as I started eating it, I already noticed that the Crispy Chicken Quesadilla was dry and only one side had stuff in it. Check out the photo... you can see how empty it is. I almost forgot to take a photo. I ate the chips. I had to order more salsa hoping the next batch might taste better. It was bland. The salsa was watered down... it doesn't even taste like salsa. Yuck! The hot chocolate was fine... the first time. When I ordered my next cup, the second one was also watered down and I think she forgot to put sugar. ‍ There were only 3 tables being waited on when we got there then all of a sudden more people showed up. There was only one waitress and she was an older lady. She had a big smile. Really nice but she got really busy. Where's the reinforcement? I realized that we didn't have water at all. We weren't done eating yet and she already took our ketchup and Tabasco (without asking if we were done using it) and moved it to the next table. We didn't bother saying anything coz she was by herself running around. Don't they have enough of those that she had to get it from our table? I've been to Norm's many times in the past and have enjoyed their food. It's not excellent but it's pretty good and the service is usually pretty good, too. Norms was one of the first places I went for breakfast when I moved here to California, I didn't go to this particular location but to a similar one. This Norms is located in a strip mall with easy access and plenty of parking available. We were greeted and seated right away. The place is nice, the ambiance is good. A RIVERSIDE CLASSIC! I've been to this Norms since I was little and I can't once think of a time that I was ever slightly dissatisfied. Every time I've come it's been such a delight and the food is delicious! I highly recommend the chicken items on the menu although I absolutely love their breakfast here. I recently had the Veggie Omelette and it's an excellent portion! The staff is always very sweet here and attentive. Oh and try the bacon, lettuce, crispy chicken sandwich with tater tots and it's magnificent! Shout out to Dinnette, our waitress (she was on top of it and very professional). This diner has room for large groups and outside dining tables. Additionally, if you're a fan of purchasing restaurant merchandise, this location sells mugs, tumblers etc. I made sure to buy a mug on the way out! read more

Ordered a garlic mushroom T bone steak and it was tough, so chewy and very rubbery. Cant even cut it to begin with. Server and host were both nice and replaced my order with a Chorizzo eggs benedicts as per request. The food was topped with deep fried eggs instead of poached eggs. Bathroom was trashed up and was super gross. Will never recommned and will definitely not coming back. read more
