I ordered fajitas the menu said Chicken and $2.99 for shrimp And I requested to add shrimp Our waitress said " it's only shrimp " so I said ok . When I got home they had not included the flour tortillas. For the fajitas Good thing I had large Flour tortillas at home for my husband. It was lunch time it was getting busy. I used to go there back in the day when it was Don Jose and then turned into Rodrigo's. Service was horrible- they were way over worked- but took 10 mins or more to get a drink. We ordered the Gulf of Mexico. Advertised and used to be a 46 oz margarita- with tequila to match. The drink came back in a 32oz glass , filled with what tasted like EXTREMELY sweet koolaid and not a hint of alcohol. We ordered an extra shot which took care of the sweetness but still no effect. Talked to the manager- and he took all of our input- including the cold food and lack of meat in the burrito. Went there recently for their taco Tuesday. They no longer serve the fresh tacos out by the tables where you get to select the meat (3 kinds) and the items and salsa on them. The only tacos they serve now are the standard 2 kinds made in the kitchen..Sad to say I will find a diifferent place for tacos now. read more

We were craving Mexican food and my husband likes this place so I decided to try it. I settled on a 3 item combo that included a tamale, crunchy shredded beef taco and crunchy ground beef taco with rice and beans. Cost $20.50 My husband got a 3 item combo as well that included 2 shredded beef tacos and a cheese enchilada. $20.50 My son got the kids bean and cheese burrito meal with fries. $6.95 Service was excellent! The servers were so nice and attentive. They brought us new chips as soon as they noticed we were low and the refilled our drinks regularly. The unlimited chips and salsa is great. I feel like the salsa could use a bit more spice. It's a little bland for my taste but my husband enjoyed it. Both crunchy tacos (ground beef and shredded beef) were excellent! I would definitely get them again. The Tamale was a miss for me. The masa was really thick and a little hard with no flavor. I would not get again but my husband thought it was okay. He said he would get it again. The rice and beans were also just okay for me but my husband and son really liked the beans. Overall, it was a great experience. The area we sat in had high backs and give a good amount of privacy. It would be a great date place because you can't hear or see the people next to you. They are really the only ones that know how I love my simple cheese enchilada, but whatever you order comes out fantastic and it's always enough to take home for the evening because it's too much to eat at one sitting. My family has always come to this place anytime a family member comes into town because it's one of our favorite spots!! The restaurant is always really clean and they have a lot of seating (and space for big parties too!). The menu is kind of small, but there is still a good amount of options to choose from. We came around 3pm on a Sunday and it was not super busy! We were sat fairly quickly and the food was also brought out in a decent amount of time. I tried their nachos for the first time today and the plate is HUGE, you could probably share them with 2-3 other people!! Also the fried ice cream was a good choice for dessert. Our server was also really helpful in answering any questions we had. Only thing I was a little disappointed by was the burritos. They seemed pretty plain as there wasn't much inside -- some were just chicken and beans, which is totally okay but for me personally I was expecting a little more for the price and size. Came here for happy hour . Sat in the bar area and received happy hour pricing plus lunch menu pricing before 4. I went with the fajitas . I had a choice of flour or corn tortillas I went with flour . I decided to upgrade my fajitas to shrimp best choice I made all week. Ha! They were grilled to perfection and fla-vor-ful! Much better than the ratings would suggest. The $6 margaritas during Happy Hour were great too!
