Excellent Service by Juan. Had a great date with my sister catching up and he was very professional. Low prices for lots of good food. Had plenty to take home. read more

This new location is great the waitresses and waiters are nice and the food is good!!

Horrible restaurant wait time food horrible need to start all over again waiting almost hour to be seated only a dozen people there got seated took another half hour to take order then food was not even cooked all the way and was not very tasty at all didn't even finish read more

Customer service is poor! No personalities when you walk in the door! This is a "new" business in my neighborhood and I will not be coming back! Sad that the company would not hire people that are dealing with the public with no customer service skills. read more

We love Norms breakfast and brunch options. They give you big portions for not a lot of money: good service and an excellent place for large groups. read more

I would give this place zero stars if I had the ability to. In fact I would give this place less than zero, a rating in the negative spectrum. If you aren't hungry, like to be ignored and have all the time in the world to wait for a server not to mention that when the food comes all dehydrated sitting under the heat lamp then this restaurant is for you. But since I don't know anyone that subjects themselves to torture knowingly here's a tip, go across the street to McDonalds and get yourself a combo, comes in 5 mins, the fries are crispy hot AND you get a DRINK! So many other options than Norms, better to take your business and hard earned money elsewhere. Very poorly managed....smh. read more

If I can give this location a 0 I would. It specifically says its 24/7 and they took our name down and made us wait 20 minutes + then to tell us..."ohh... idk who told you we were accepting people but we ain't" they advertise saying they are 24 hours open but she said it was to hectic to accept a party of 4. unprofessional they really need customer service training. I will take a extra drive to Hawthorne and experience better service. read more

Are usually go to the NORMS near the airport, the food is great there. And frequently I go to the Torrance location near 190th. Those two locations are pretty good this location however, although it's convenient because it's close off the freeway if I'm really hungry after work it's the closest offramp to get off and eat especially if the traffic is bad and then wait for it to clear up. But no matter how hungry I am I'm not coming back to this one. Do people here need their paychecks? I wonder because when I was a waitress and going to school, I acted like I needed my job and have respect for my job and dress nicely and neatly and my shoes were polished. What is up with these girls, the waitresses and the hostesses, they all need to be retrained. When there are new waitstaff @ Hawthorne Boulevard and 1/90 or the NORMS at Pacific Coast Highway, they make sure that they're trained before they put them out on the floor to work. Especially now that everything is so expensive, I might start cooking at home again because when I'm hungry and tired, I don't want to wait 10 minutes while somebody feels like coming to take my order. And I don't like being rude because I'm a nice person, but sometimes you feel enough is enough. Let me get out of here I think I'm sticking to Torrance from now on. read more

Slow service. Ate most of my food thirsty as heck. Disorganized. They shouldn't put the big basket of menus at the register. This place is both clean and yet a hot mess. read more

This Norms is by far thee worse one I've ever been to. I was with a party of 3 and I decided not to eat after seeing a few factors that disturbed me. First, upon entering the establishment the waiting area has a horrible smell. I'm aware that many people wait there and bc of that many ppl have different body odors as well, some are pleasant and some aren't. So bc of that the door should be opened or air freshener sprayed from time to time. After being seat, I grabbed a menu and it was sticky from syrup..not just my menu all of the menus. The waiter brought out the utensils and my spoon had dried food on it and the rest of the silverware looked unclean. I requested a cup of hot water and a regular water on the side. I placed the silverware in the hot water to allow them to soak and I cleaned them with a napkin. The other water cup I request to drink had coffee debris and stains around the inside of the cup. At this point I was beyond ready to go but I'm a team player so I sucked it up for the sake of enjoying the time with my loved ones. The straw that broke the camels back was that I found hair on top of my fries. I thought I'd be safe with ordering fries but I was wrong. My family was so grossed out they wanted to leave so we left. It's times like this where I think to myself that I should have become a health inspector. The moral of the story is if you visit this Norms keep your eyes open, bring your own silverware and bring your own water bottle OR you can just visit another location all together.. Hmmm that may be best! read more

NORMS Restaurant - American Near Me - Carson, California

I went to this new Norm's because I love the food.. I was confused when I walked in because I didn't know were the cashier was and to make my reservation.. It took a good 5 to 6mins before someone said something.. But finely a young man asked how many and told me how long.. Said he would come back with children menus.. Another 10mins I asked a waitress for a child menu she said she would get them for me.. Another 10-15mins later my waiter finally came over said they had no child menus.. Why didn't one of the others come back to inform of this??? I was able to order.. Didn't take long for the food my waiter was supposed to be bringing a drinks & condiments over took awhile..apologized said this wasn't his usual area.. again I have to complain about the cleanliness of our booth and around.. That part bugs!! read more

Came in on a Friday morning with my elderly father for breakfast. It was busy and we had a 20 minute wait. Once seated we ordered immediately. Coffee was literally just barely warm and our food wasn't any warmer. For the price paid it was a total loss. Disappointing at best. read more

I love Norms! My experience to this place Steak is good all the time and always reasonable price place is clean keep it up

Very disappointed. Came specifically for gumbo soup and they ran out of it, so decided to get a salad instead and they also ran out of lettuce. read more

Terrible! The food was cold so we had to get it to go so we could re heat. What a bad experience.

Great place! The wait is never too long! Service is wonderful! The food is always fresh and fast! We Always make sure to sit on Keyrie side! She is seriously the best server EVER! She is kind and attentive! She goes above and beyond for her customers! There's never a dull moment on her side! My kids absolutely love her, to the point where they always ask if she's there! Came in at 615 PM. It took 10 minutes for someone to ask if we wanted something to drink. Another 10 minutes for someone to come take our order. At 715 I walked out. Our food wasn't even in the window. The place wasn't even full. The waiter and the manager didn't even walk by to say your food will be up soon. Poor service. Didn't even get a drink refill. Waiter didn't even check on us after 30 minutes. I would hate to see how long it would take if the place was full. read more

very roomy Norms. ran very well in comparison to other NORMS i have been to. We were a party of 12 and we were seated very quickly on ThanksGiving day!our server was great considering my family is very critical and picky our food was just as good. If i lived closer i would return but if i am in the area they will be considered. All in all if you live close by and looking for a place to eat day or night, stop by you will not be dissapointed. plus i love 24 breskfast and their strawberry belgian waffle is the bomb! read more

Terrible service and food was not good at all. We had to wait to for 30 minutes so we choose to sit outside because it was too crowded inside, they have a speaker outside to call for names I heard other names called over the speaker, I check my for my name and they said we called you but I guess you were outside. So nobody even bothered to check ?? STRIKE 1. We are seated our waiter was very inattentive, 2 of our orders came out and the 2 other orders we waited literally 30 mins with no feedback from our waiter! someone else's waiter noticed us and tried to help. There is more but its just too much to type. Overall this place is hard NO. read more

On a special diet. Wanted an omelette and can't eat the myriad of bread/fruit options. Just wanted a side salad instead without croutons. Waitress said the manager refused to let us substitute all of the other items with the salad and would be $2.49 plus the regular cost of the meal. Asked if could order an omelette by itself. Only if we were ordering a cheese omelette. So no in other words the manager lacks any common sense to do math, not provide any customer service. Super sucks because norms has always been somewhere we've gone before having limited dietary options. EVERY other restaurant we have visited has no issue with swapping out all of the other items for a side salad. Makes NO sense! If you have Glutin allergy, carb restrictions or keto, Atkins, etc, do NOT try this place. read more

Came to this location around 12am last night and got seated and served by a waitress named SANDRA. Me and my mother ordered the same exact items. Our beverages were forgotten and our sandwiches came out wrong. We ordered the Tucson Turkey Melt, I still don't even know what we got because it had bacon there was no chili. Nothing. We asked SANDRA about it and she said she would ask the cooks and come back but she never came back.. five mins went by and I got up to see she was helping other customers and serving them food. I had to literally go up to the person sitting customers to help us, when they came back to pick up the sandwiches all they did was take them back, slap a chili on them and gave it back to us! The 20 mins it took to fix the problem our sandwiches were already cold and soggy. When she came back all she did was make up excuses and blaming on the cooks when they had nothing to do with her mistakes. The only good service we got was from Nicole! The women who was sitting customers. Even she was frustrated SANDRA never came back to help us. You would think with this place being brand new they would have amazing service. That was obviously our first mistake. Thankfully we won't be returning. read more

Antie!! She's killing it. Walked in and she was holding down the floor by herself. Loved her energy.

Service is really slow here, the staff is in experienced for sure it's been weeks now since opening n it still seems unorganized. Managers seem to not be in the motion with the location itself. I believe this location needs a very strong staff if it is gonna make it. Every time I come all I see is people waiting for acknowledgement first drinks even just water t makes forever to be taken to the tables which makes people even more annoyed and inpatient. This place sucks in my opinion ,if u wanna kill time come to this norms bcuz u will wait a while for anything n everything. read more

Honestly I was very excited for the opening of this Norms since I love going to the mall next to it. I normally go to the Norms located in Torrance. So I went to this New Norms in Carson and I was not happy with their services all! food was cold, so was the coffee. The lady kept forgetting to bring stuff I needed like dressings and other stuff. I didn't get upset I was actually very polite and left a good tip. So I decided to go back another day and I did. The experience was worse. Then I got really upset. The order of my kids was the wrong order, the coffee once again was cold. My husband asked for well done meat and it was very bloody. The guy who helped us took forever to check up on us. I would definitely not go back! I didn't mind the bad service on the first time visiting but a second time? Lol I will definitely go back to the Norms in Torrance! read more

Placed a delivery order from their site and carrier did not deliver to my apartment unit, called and asked manager, spoke to Alex Ramirez who was in no way of help...telling me it must be lyft that picked up my food but upon listening to their automated voice message they are not even partnered with Lyft.I just wanted to find out which carrier so I can maybe directed to the driver and see which unit was it delivered to.Gave me a hard time for my own food and money.First and last order from this place as they have no customer service manner.Wasted my time and money wouldn't even honor of atleast me picking up the food or even try to call the carrier nothing. If I can put 0star that would've been my selection read more

This place is fucking horrible. They never get my order right. I recently ordered the socal breakfast (pancakes, bacon, eggs, hash brown). And a extra side of bacon. Great food Great atmosphere and awesome service. I really enjoyed the service. We we're greeted and seated within 20mins even though the place looked busy. Our server was a sweetheart and our food was delicious. As expected of a new place it was clean and everything was new so I really enjoyed it. Will definitely come back and make this our new Norms even if it's out of our way. read more

I was so excited that Norms was coming to Carson. So when me and my family decided to go tonight, we talked about what we would order. I got my steak and eggs, my hubby got a so-called scramble, my son ordered sandwich and waffle and my daughter ordered French Toast w/eggs and bacon. I wanted my steak well done but it was mostly red...my husband scramble was cold and tasteless... my son like his waffle but sandwich was just ok and my daughter French Toast was burnt .... not happy at all! We should have gone to Olive Garden instead! Will I go back?? Not too sure... maybe I'll just stick to the Norms in Torrance read more

Just went here today. My dad came in from out of town and I normally have a good experience at Norms at the other locations. Not herr. My dad came in waited to be seated. Saw a seat that was empty asked for was told it's for a bigger party, just in case. My dad had to ask 3 times. Until. They said yes. We didnt have place settings. I had to ask for steak sauce when my steak came. They gave my dad the wrong flavored soup. My dad did not like the meat loaf. He was finished with it for like 20 mins, and no one came to remove his plate. I asked for my steak medium well, it was well done. Come on guys! Step up your game! I will give y'all one more try! read more

Terrible experience. Went for lunch. Sat at counter. Ordered a burger and fries. It took 25 minutes to get served. Then it was served with the burger Luke warm and the fries cold and soggy. Not surprising because I noticed it in the window minutes before I was served. I asked that it be remade and also asked to speak to the manager. The manager came over and was very flip with me. He intimated 25 minutes was not that long To wait and basically was a jerk. He took my check. But just walked away. When I finished my meal, I asked the server for the check. I had to tell her the manager took it. She came back and said he will bring it to me. After a long wait he came back and said that he took care of the meal. I said I didn't expect that. I was, as I told the manager, just hoping for an apology or some understanding of my dissatisfaction as a customer. I never got it. I asked for the phone number of their HQ to speak to the district manager. He gave me his card and said "I'm the district manager." Yikes! He did give me the contact name of his supervisor. read more

I want to shout out Yessica the manager. She was awesome! I had a slight problem understanding the menu, and she took the time to politely explain it. I appreciated that. I got the steak with shrimp and mashpotato with the brown gravy that was BOMB! I ate it all. She still offer me a dessert! That made my night! I will be coming back soon! read more

0 stars!! Horrible customer service! Walked in a little past midnight on a weekday. It wasn't busy at all there were plenty of tables available yet we waited about 15 minutes before someone asked if my party of 7 would like to be seated in separate booths... umm whatever works for you guys, no problem... 15 minutes later we're still waiting to be seated. We ended up leaving to spend our money elsewhere. New restaurant in my city and it's too bad I'll think twice before ever coming back. read more
