It used to be called Johnny's and it was wonderful. Under new management it is still outstanding. With soul food and dishes you remember from childhood you can't go wrong here. I stopped in for lunch and selected the special. Smothered pork chops with two sides. The rice n gravy and black eyed beans were fantastic. Everything is hand made and the selection is limited to five or six main dishes and lots of side to choose from. Fried chicken, meatloaf, chuck steak and other specials are offered as well as breakfast all day on Saturday. The locals take up many of the sparkling wooden tables and that is always a great sign. Easy to miss, the restaurant is located across from the bank one block north off 207. Turn at the light. Don't wink or you will miss Hastings and Norma J's

We were bicycling on the Palatka-St Augustine Trail & stopped to eat here. It's where all the locals are eating. Only open until "2:30ish" so mainly a breakfast/lunch spot. Well worth the stop!

Absolutely delicious home-cooked food. They also do to-go! My favorite is their chocolate chip pancakes and bacon. Be sure to stop by.

Delicious! Nice little Mom and Pop style local restaurant. Everything we've had has been delicious! I love their salad with bacon and shrimp, feta, and baby greens. They have daily specials, and are only open for breakfast and lunch.

The male server was attentive and competent but my craft beer was poured as a low abv sour and not my Swamphead IPA hazy request, which was switched out quickly. My Prohibition Burger & Egg was seasoned perfectly and the boiled cajun peanuts had a nice unexpected spicy kick. Aside from the tasty eats, the beautiful 1920's themed bar is notably a mixologists dream. Maybe add a true Speak Easy to the place which would be a cool addition. There was a walk thru to a pricey steakhouse, but not hidden so not really a Speak Easy concept if that was the intent.

The food was good across the board. The burgers stood out as the highlight juicy, flavorful, and cooked well. The fries and appetizers were also solid, and portions were generous enough to leave satisfied. The drink menu is extensive too, with a strong cocktail selection that fits the whole Prohibition theme. Service was friendly and generally on point, even though it was busy. The staff kept things moving and checked in without being intrusive.
