It looks like a small mom and pop diner. and I absolutely love it. The service was excellent within one minute of me being in the building. They asked me if I would like to be seated or if I wanted to go order. I've said this many times I absolutely love French toast, and I always judge it based upon whether or not it needs syrup. I ordered the French toast with one egg and the smoked sausage. The egg was your standard egg nothing special. The smoked sausage link was a sausage that I have never tasted it before, but it was good very flavorful and was not fatty at all. And now the king of the show or queen depending on who you're talking to... the French toast. I will say that the French toast was good however to me it tasted more like when you get a slice of bread at home, put butter on it with cinnamon and sugar and you put it in the oven on broil and let it toast a bit. It WAS delicious. The bread was delicious, but it did not taste like your typical French toast to me however, I would go back and order it again. They also had some really huge cinnamon rolls in there. I did not get one of those, but they were quite literally about the size of a person's plate. All in all I definitely would visit the diner again I could go without the egg, but the French toast and sausage definitely would have. read more

This place is consistently great!! Either for Bfast or lunch, perfect. Small hometown owned local place that welcomed anyone!! Great menu, very fast food delivery and the staff ensures all is good! Have not "met" the kitchen staff but they do a great job as the results prove it! They even bake their bread/biscuits and sandwich rolls daily!!! Lil hint- you can get a half dozen bagged to go for less than 5 bucks!! Just ask, we freeze em and thaw as we go for burgers at home!! We have never been disappointed nor had a bad meal here. They even have a few Greek meals including Gyros. Def add the fries to any meal, you will see why!! The inside is meat, clean and has that home town feel where they know yah when you stop by. The bread is all homemade and they even give you a chocolate chip cookie for free at the end of your meal! Seat yourself and get to eatin'! This place has an old-school, fast-paced, diner vibe with a strong support of the locals. Wife and I stopped in for the "big buns" but when we saw the menu couldn't resist the biscuits and gravy! Everything tasted amazing and fresh, biscuits were definitely homemade. We've lived in Hastings for a few months and finally tried this place out. It's a very busy little place, but the service was great and friendly. Our server Lisa was awesome. There was a huge party next to us that was extremely obnoxious but she handled it very well. The food is definitely homemade for real. The pancake i had was, i kid you not, probably one of the top 3 best pancakes I've ever had. The homefries didn't even need ketchup they were seasoned nicely. The grits were pretty good as well. I came into this place looking to satisfy my country breakfast tooth and it's exactly what I found. What a poetic way to dish the classics that are missed by others so often. This is the one of the best places to eat for breakfast - although it's off of the beaten path it's definitely a true must to stop by in a little town! Our visit started off with being greeted with Chesley - smiling away. Chesley was so polite and attentive to our needs as we were a group of six. She'd constantly said yes mam'm and sir which is not heard of nowadays after every sentence. Hats off to her parents for those manners! The place has old school red and white vinyl chairs and outdoor hand saws, hammers, etc on the wall - yes a true southern diner in Florida. They had home made bread which was delicious. My husband had the French toast, two in our group had the BLTs - made with their home made bread, a big Ol tomato and the largest leaf of lettuce. I jumped out of my box and ordered the corn beef combo with the home fries with onions, homemade toast - delicious. If you're lucky enough you can buy a home made loaf to go! And the best I've left for last we took home the biggest cinnamon bun ever made - watch out Cinnibon you got some seriously competition in Florida! Chesley says it warms up in 30 seconds. What an awesome and amazing place to eat. I had the grilled chicken with broccoli and mashed potatoes. The chicken was so juicy with that grilled flavor left me wanting more. Veggie burger was good and there were a lot of fries. Amazing staff, they give you cookies with your check. Those cookies are the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had. My boyfriend and I came here today for lunch. The building and decor are very retro which I think is great! We were instantly and warmly greeted and told we could sit wherever we wanted. Our drink order was taken as soon as we sat down. I got the lunch Shrimp Platter and everything on it was delicious. The fries were hot and perfectly cooked, soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The shrimp were fresh and lightly battered. Then to top it off, two free homemade cookies were brought out to us. Our server was very friendly and prompt. Prices are more than reasonable especially for the quality and portions. It was extremely difficult trying to place an order with a young man that was severely under trained, for 2 basic breakfast sandwiches right off the menu (he was very nice tho). Told 15 mins, was 40 mins. A woman assisted us and was so nice/ helpful! We were upset at that point over many things and weren't as kind to her (sorry if you see this) Another young girl coming from the back definitely could use some training in speaking to customers. Our sandwiches were actually sitting for a while as my nephew said the bag they handed us was back there for 10+ mins and he asked the young man about our order when they brought that out. He said ours wasn't done yet. We left and ate them immediately. They were cold, dry and way more bread than anything. I've heard good things and will give them another try as this was our 1st time. Maybe dine in when we have a lot of time, but it will definitely be a while. They definitely need to train the staff a little better. I went for a late breakfast and picked the Breakfast Bowl - 2 sunny side up eggs with bacon in a bowl of cheese grits! Can't ask for more than that. We just ordered hamburgers and French fries and the hamburgers reminded me of the ole time smashed burgers that we got in the 60s and 70s! The fries were super crispy and delicious. AND they bring your bill along with chocolate chip cookies ! The staff members were very friendly. We almost didn't stop because we weren't sure it was open.
