Chips & salsa
Susan S.

Stopped in for a late lunch, so it wasn't too crowded. Service was a bit slow but I had pleasant company so it was fine. The food arrived nice and hot and the portions were large. Everyone had a take home box, and everything was really good. The server was friendly and the place was very clean when we were there. I would go back.

I came in at 10:05pm they close at 10:30pm. The greeter was below average. I give him a 3.5 out of 10. Did not feel welcome. The server on the other hand was very nice. She did a good job. I give her a 8.5 out of 10. She could have checked on me more often. I came for the new Smash Burger. The flavor of the meat was average at best. Of course that is the main feature of a hamburger! I give the meat a 5.2 out of 10. The bun was average, it was soft, not a ton of flavor, a 7.1 out of 10. The condiments were fine, the thousand Island dressing was fine, it did not taste like a Big Mac though if that is your goal. The burger looks delicious so the actual burger presentation was excellent. I give the total burger a 6.2 out of 10. The French fries were excellent! Nicely seasoned and hot! They were a 7.9 out of 10! Total score 6.5 out of 10 due to the burger being below average. The restaurant was clean and cool.

Good, quick, friendly staff decent prices. I will continue to go to Chili's as long as it's one of the options in Polacca.

The service is good, the menu is dull and played out. Usually over crowded on weekends with long wait times.

We had planned on going to a popular Korean restaurant in town but they were short-staffed and…read morebarely acknowledged as we came through the door, so we left and decided to come here instead. Nice save. Parking when they're busy is a bit much but we found a spot around the corner from the door and walked to the entrance. You walk through their outside dining area which is all covered but because it had just rained it was a bit muggy for us so we opted to sit inside. The place has multiple floors and I really like that set up. We were sat upstairs on the second floor right by the top of the stairs. Looking around you can see another floor with a reserved area, tvs showing sports, and their salsa bar, more on that later. No chips and salsa here. Chips and Charro Bean Dip. The beans tasted refried and charred if that makes sense. I lost at rock, paper, scissors so I had to go visit the salsa bar and bring back dips to try. They had some pretty good ones like their homemade chipotle dressing, salsa verde, salsa de molcajete, etc. There wasn't one that we didn't like. Our server was really great and took care of us well. I got a Tamarindo Margarita and to eat the Enchiladas Poblanas (chicken enchiladas with mole sauce, queso fresco, raw onions) with the normal side of refried beans and rice, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and guac. I got a side of extra cheese because I'm a little rat and dumped it on them. The mole sauce really hit the spot. The last time I had it the sauce was kinda bland but this gave such a nice sweet and earthy flavor. He got the Molcajete Azteca (lava rock bowl with char-grilled chicken, steak, chorizo, shrimp, queso fresco, grilled cactus, onions, avocados, serrano peppers, pork rinds), same sides as my dish. He ''Oooh-ed" and "Ahhh-ed" and "Oh my God, this is so good" so you know he was a happy guy. I can see what all the hype is about. Definitely a place to visit.

We got a seat inside away from the noise, oddly enough in about the same place as we almost always have gotten in this restaurant. I went for a burrito, which is also my standard. It was just as good this time around as it was the last time, and the service was still just as solid. Really, for this kind of Mexican food in Gainesville, this is one of the best places to go as far as I am concerned. We will be returning in the future.

Keep Austin weird!…read more Oh wait, we're in Gainesville. Been years and years since I've been in the south. I loved going to Austin Chuys for the food, drinks, and chips on Friday nights. What great energy! When we happened by this Gainesville location I knew we had to stop in. It still has a great vibe, now with T-shirts of fajita raccoons for sale up front. There was definitely a family vibe here. It was better lit and all types of folks enjoying. I ordered the steak and chicken combo fajitas. I remembered it was the cheapest way to get the most meat. That hasn't changed. Two portions of meat came out on the sizzling platter, with another for cheese, guacamole, and sour cream. Another plate for rice and beans. And t Yet another for the hot tortillas made fresh in the machine. We also got the chicken tacos, which came on an attractive plate. The chicken tortilla soup was well received too. But the best thing was unlimited fresh chips. They brought it out before even saying hi and taking drink orders, to maximize our grazing time. As we comped away dipping in the fresh house made salsa, they kept bringing out more. My jaws are sore from so much chewing!

It's a grocery store where you can pick up your weekly groceries--meat, produce, pretty much anything you need. But the BEST part? The little taco spot inside the store. This is what you call a true hole-in-the-wall hidden gem! The tacos NEVER disappoint. They're always packed with meat, juicy, flavorful, and just so damn good. I'm not even exaggerating when I say these are probably some of the best tacos I've ever had. I've had tacos from plenty of big Mexican restaurants, and honestly... none of them compare to this little spot. My personal favorite is the al pastor but honestly, ALL of their tacos are so good. Al pastor is just my weakness LOL. And the prices are so reasonable too! Now hubby and I are making it our weekly Sunday ritual: come grocery shop for the week and grab some tacos while we're here. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming, too, which makes the experience even better. I honestly wish I could give this place a 10 out of 5 because that's how good it is! Seriously, check this place out. You won't be disappointed!

These mayyyy have been the best tacos I've ever had. I sat in the car inhaling them like a little gremlin because as soon as I smelled them, I knew I couldn't wait. The homemade salsa was incredible and just the right level of heat. This place was also incredibly affordable - I had three of the traditional asada tacos for under 8 bucks. Five freaking stars from me.
