After a long day walking in the woods of the Ocala National Forest I was looking for a place to eat where I could get something light. I found this Huddle House off SR19 and I'm glad I did! They have just about anything that would fancy your taste buds! So I said something light, but it turned out to be a full breakfast at 7:00pm! I had the MPV which included two eggs, country sausage, grits, a pancake and a biscuit with sausage gravy!! Wow! The service was fast and the food was served within minutes of my order. An excellent choice! Our waitress was so sweet and kept our coffee cups full every two minutes. I'd say if you're looking for something out of the ordinary and want good food fast, you have to try this spot! read more

We got seated at 10:16am and they were a little busy. We got assigned Kristen, not too sure if it was her first day or if she just needs training but it was a bad experience. By 10:40am we saw there were no tickets in the kitchen and everything was cooked. Pops saw our server behind the computer and talking with another server. He turned to get her attention, she looked up and walked to the other side of the kitchen where the entrance is. She started texting on her phone and biting her fingernails, ignoring that she doesn't want to come over. I was sick of the bullspit scaredy cat nonsense because it was a cold morning and I wanted coffee so I got up and interrupted her conversation with her coworker to ask for coffee. She dropped it off at the table and said softly with no eye contact "I'm working on your ticket" and ran away. I think she was afraid of pops because 45 minutes goes by and we still had no food and new tickets were getting up in the kitchen. We watched plate after plate go by and we were the VERY last table to get our food in wave 2. She brought our food out after the whole restaurant was eating. She didn't talk to us, she avoided us, and we knew she just wanted us to go. We knew we were Table 6 because everyone was yelling table 6's food was up and she came over to get it. As soon as she delivered our food, she put the check on the table immediately. It was like she wanted us to leave? Why? Because she couldn't apologize for forgetting to put our order in and keeping us waiting? Another server asked me if I wanted butter with my biscuit which was the only interaction we had/customer service we had. The other good comment I can give is the cook in the kitchen made some AMAZING omelettes! He got the tip, we left at 11:37am and got home at 12:15pm... that was ridiculous. There was a guy there wearing a Jaguars shirt that took care of us last time, we regret not asking for him, he's AMAZING! She did ask Mama if she needed anything and made eye contact with her, Ma says, "Water?" Kristen says, "Nothing? *turns to walk away* Ok!" And starts walking away, Ma raises her voice and says "WATER!" and she says "oh!" SHE NEEDS TO LISTEN. Actually care. Please train Kristen. IMMEDIATELY. For something her fault & not putting our ticket in to the kitchen, she made us feel uncomfortable, dismissed and unwelcome. As soon as she put the bill on the table even BEFORE we even took a bite of our food-- Pops said right there her tip was gone. There were many times for her to let us know what was happening but we heard it all in the kitchen. Kristen, please go through training again and grow up to have better communication skills. Kayla did the best she could by herself. Bambi wouldn't be working for me if I owned or managed a business. She walked past and looked at all the dirty tables to look for tips. She never cleaned any of the 9 dirty tables while we were there. The poor other girl was getting refills and serving while Bambi was sitting at a table talking to people on the clock. read more

Service takes forever, has happened multiple times this isn't the first time. Asked for a refill on beverage, took 15 minutes to receive. Reason given was shift change but that's not an appropriate reason every time when eating at completely different times each time. read more

we spent just under $40 with tip for 2 meat lovers omelets & 2 sides of bacon. So the inside ingredients were put on the grill 1st & the cook was making 4 to go orders... lets say by the time he was to put my meats & vegies into the omelete it was ALL burnt & not just charred but BURNT. He should have tossed it & started over. He was also upset at their lack of help as he burned 3 pans of biscuits. No excuse to send food out like what he gave us! Plus tip our breakfast was $29 and change. First, we walk in to sit where we want and we are barked at to sit elsewhere. Then, we order and wait. The waitron gave us the wrong breakfast then laughed saying "we gave yours to someone else by mistake". I ordered : 2 soft scrambled eggs crisp bacon bowl of grits 1 pancake I got dry scrambled eggs, wilted cold bacon, cold hash browns and a nice big hot pancake. The coffee was okay. My sister got biscuits and sausage gravy. I'm thinking...why wouldn't you give us what we ordered instead of losing a very generous tip? We tipped one dollar in utter disappointment. This was not the fault of the cook. The flies in there should have warned us. We never complained about anything. We have been to this restaurant twice. The first time it was nice good service, well prepared food. The second time was less than we expected. The waitress yelled, from the other end of the counter, to sit wherever we wanted. It took her a while to bring our drinks and even longer to return to take our order. It wasn't until she caught me glaring at her, that she took the order. The food was mediocre, at best, to the point of having cold gravy on my potatoes. 4/12/21 all I have to say to night is that th food and the service was very very horrible the cook was sloppy and the server lady was very very rude and slow the food was way under cook and we way over cooked. I'm not sure whoever said that "huddle house is way better than Waffle House" but I know I have heard it more than once.... To those people I say this- WRONG. This place is a nightmare. Terrible service, terrible hygiene of the employees (yes... worse than that of a Waffle House if you can believe it) and terrible food. I'd like to know why this place gives me instant and explosive diarrhea every time I've been here (which I won't be going back, finally learned that lesson as I type this from the toilet). I even tried to be conservative this time, only getting a very basic breakfast, two eggs, biscuit and hash browns. NOPE! Still a nightmare in here. First I couldn't sit because they have half the restaurant closed down for some reason, then I sat there for ten minutes with no menu. Finally ordered my beverages, that took a lot longer than I think it should have, then I finally ordered... my food was finished cooking pretty fast, but it sat on the counter for a solid 5 minutes before the toothless lady at the counter decided to stop arguing with a customer long enough to ask one of the other employees to hand it to me. Could have used some hot sauce and ketchup, but I wasn't going to wait another 20 minutes to get that, so I just ate. Finished, waited for my check.... Waited for a while..... still waited, and finally just dropped a 20 and walked out. I know the whole thing was probably 13 bucks, so they got a way better tip than what they should have, but the whole place was on the verge of a scabies outbreak and I needed to get out of there for my own mental health... 0/10. They do not give you what you order and pay for! I tried to order food online and something wasn't working so I decided to go to the restaurant and order take out. I ordered two sweet cakes platters and the waffle meal (all three with sides; bacon, sausage, and eggs). I checked my order after I got home (big mistake) and realized that I did not get the sausage or the fixings on the sweet cakes! They gave us syrup and nothing else. I was charged almost $28.00 and the food wasn't even good. For that price, I could have had so much more at McDonald's and felt satisfied. Don't waste your money. read more

The waitress had only one other table besides us and we only saw her a couple times. Didn't bus our table, our drinks didn't get refilled until our food came out, she never once asked how our food was, we had to flag her down to get the check and even though we had 5 in our party she didn't bother to ask how we wanted it split.
