Lunch at Nora's Fish Creek Inn was absolutely worth it. The trout was fresh, flaky, and cooked perfectly with a buttery flavor and crispy skin that melted in your mouth. The French fries were hot, crispy, and the perfect side to such a great meal. Food was excellent, service lack-luster. We visited for dinner and made reservations. We started with the Mountain Game Hot Dish which was delicious!! Then got the bison quesadilla as the main. This was great. I feel like typically quesadilla's do not have enough meat in them, but this was stuffed with bison meat. For dessert, we ordered the cinnamon raisin bread budding, it was good, but could have been served warmer. Overall, great dinner option. read more

We love Nora's, and have consistently had great experiences on our yearly treks out to this gorgeous area of the country. It's casual, no frill ambiance is relaxing and homey. This place is our local "watering hole". Great deal on happy hour drinks made with premium tequila and vodka. We decided to stay for dinner. The service is rough and you will wait for your food for a while. The food is okay. Pretty basic. The atmosphere is a rustic pub styled restaurant. We came here for brunch. The place/atmosphere is super cute. There was a live guitarist, which added to the ambiance. The waiter was nice but couldnt really answer any of our question about the coffee. He admitted he had only just started working there. We all split an order of their famous banana french toast which was delicious! It was soft on the inside and sweet and crunchy on the outside. It was definitely the star of the show. I ordered their famous trout and eggs. It came with the shredded hash browns. The trout had zero seasoning and it was very bland and fishy. I probably would not recommend this to eat. read more

We love this place when we come to the Jackson Hole area. Service is usually pretty quick and the waitstaff is always really friendly. Here lately there been a little short staffed so keep that in mind when you visit. Food is some of the best in the area in my opinion. This is more of a hole in the wall spot that locals go to - you can get away from all of the tourist which is what we like to do even though we are tourists ourselves (don't tell anyone). read more

The huevos rancheros was the highlight which I thought I would never say when it's the standard in Texas. Love the taste and surprisingly went well with the banana bread taste- salty sweet combo. Breakfast review -- I've only been here for breakfast. We have gotten a variety of breakfast items and haven't been disappointed yet. The biscuits have that just right blend of butter and sour that I've been pursuing my own recipe.... But just can't get it right like Nora's can!! Blueberry pancakes (or w/out the fruit)are a go to!!! Service and atmosphere are relaxed and casual with lots of locals frequenting. We've run into multiple friends on different visits, so you'll see some of that too.., locals connecting and saying hi. If it's busy, worth the wait!!! On a road trip back home and we stopped by this place to get breakfast. It was a Monday and they were able to accommodate a family of 15. The place is casual and clean. Wait staff were nice. I chose to have their banana bread French toast, side of turkey patties, and shared a fruit bowl. The banana French bread was delicious and perfect serving. It was the half order, btw. Everything tasted good and the fruit was fresh. Definitely a good spot to drop through if you are wanting breakfast. read more

I'm cleaning the table then proceeded to put other people at the table except me so basically they don't care who's in line they asked me if I wanted to sit at the bar I said no so they proceeded just Seat everyone but me. I eat breakfast at Nora's about once a month. Last couple of times, the food quality has noticeably declined. Last time, my omelette was cold and dry, like it was made an hour ago and left on the counter in the kitchen. Pancakes were good however. Service is always great and ambience is ok, but I'll think twice about going to Nora's next time. read more

My experience here was 5 stars due to the smoked trout salad. It was the best thing I ate during my week in Jackson and I will dream about it until I come back. The fish was delicate (it was steelhead trout by the way); had lots of dill which added a delightful punch; and the crème fraiche dressing was perfectly light and complementary to the fish. My mom had the trout amandine and she loved it too. We also had smoked pork tacos, buttermilk fried chicken, and steak at the table. Which were mediocre. When the place gets full, it is LOUD and hard to carry on a conversation. However still sticking by my five star review. Get that salad guys; you won't regret it. read more

This place is better than the reviews. The rustic decor is charming. There is a nice outdoor area. The bar was busy with locals eating, having a drink and enjoying the football game on TV. We arrived at 7, while we had reservations we didn't need them. Host was friendly. Great server, Kyle, very helpful with dinner choices. My husband had the trout amadine. It was good. Served skin side up so he had to scrap off topping, remove skin and return topping to the fish. Maybe some people eat the nicely seared skin. We don't. I had the elk/pork meatballs. Nicely served with marinara and gooey cheese. The meatballs were a little dry but the sauce helped. The 5 star according to my husband was the chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. Disappointing experience! I stopped to get my traditional Biscuits and Gravy, as I do it on a yearly basis. I ordered and it came with hash browns. The previous owner made everything in her kitchen, this meal tasted like it came from a frozen package. First, the biscuits were mushy, the gravy was lacking sausage and it tasted too milky, like a mix of flour and milk only. Second, the hash brown potatoes came like they were just defrosted and thrown in the toaster, no taste and pretty darn cold. On top of that the coffee was horrible at best, slightly colored water. What happened to the quality of food that we used to get at Nora's? Are the current owners oblivious to the drop in quality when it comes to food? I am not impressed at all, I consider giving this restaurant one more chance and if the food isn't up to par with the old food that was served, then I am not returning. Sad... read more

I picked this restaurant because I wanted breakfast for dinner and the description said "breakfast served all day". Well, they in fact only serve breakfast until 2pm. Despite this massive disappointment the food was really outstanding. My daughter had the chicken pot pie which had a buttermilk biscuit on top that was delicious. I had the steak fries and I wish the steak would have been cut before being served. Having a huge skirt steak on top of my fries was a bit awkward. Always good food! The huevos rancheros are awesome. That green chili sauce is incredible! My kids are big fans of the buttermilk pancakes. They are large and great for sharing. I tried the sourdough pancakes. Don't know what I expected but they were pretty sour. Haha. They were light and really did taste good but I was surprised at the sourness. My family and I drove past Nora's on Sunday evening and noticed the 'open' sign, prompting us to stop in and try the food. Upon entering, a young lady informed us that they were not open, despite it being 8 minutes until 5 PM and the 'open' sign being displayed. She stated that they do not open until 5 PM, even though the sign and open door suggested otherwise. We stepped outside to sit on the bench right beside the door, and approximately one minute till 5, she emerged and shut the door without saying a word to us. The abrupt and discourteous treatment led us to leave and dine at Sidewinders American Grill, where we enjoyed excellent service and cuisine. read more

After an early Spring hike last weekend, we decided to have lunch at Nora's. It wasn't very busy but it took the waiter a few minutes to come by and take our order. I was really in the mood for a sandwich, but there was only a BLT on the menu. I went with the burger, and I substituted the Hoagie Roll for a lettuce wrap, with an upcharge of $2.00. The presentation was a burger, shaped like a Hoagie Roll on a bed of lettuce with the fixings, tomato, onion, and pickle on top. Unfortunately, there was not enough lettuce to make a burger "bun". There was no way I was cutting that Hoagie sized burger in half and using that lettuce as a bun. I tried cutting the burger in half, and only using half of the burger with the lettuce as a bun with all the fixings, but it was far too messy. I just ate it with a fork and knife. You really need to use Iceberg lettuce, and probably like 1/4 of a head of lettuce to get enough leaves to make a sturdy "bun". I think it was ridiculous that I had to pay $2.00 extra for that lettuce wrap. Won't be ordering that again... It also, took quite a while to get our check. read more

This place has changed since the original owners sold it. Breakfast is still good but coffee isn't hot so I had to send it back. The bar dining was my favorite as I knew several of the regulars. However they modified the bar with a new area for wine bottles and just stuff. They ruined dining at the bar. There is not enough room! I don't see the regulars there like I use to. Service was good but not fantastic. I may try it again but then prices are double what they were. I'm going to have to really think twice before I spend money like that again. read more

Mom and I went here for breakfast. Worst chicken fried steak ever. I've been in the service industry for 26 years. "Home" fries are frozen potatoes out of a bag, hard and tasteless. Gravy was orange. We had the most excellent Thanksgiving breakfast experience at Nora's. They were open early on a holiday and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. We had drinks, coffees and breakfast and each course was a delight! Our breakfasts were so tasty we decided that may become our new breakfast spot.
