Noon Mirch offers lunch at JSC every Thursday , so we decided to try the actual brick-&-mortar for date night. Our waitress, Lexie, was delightful and very helpful with suggestions on drinks (Luscious Lychee & Indian Summer Cooler) along with other various menu items. We had the vegetable samosas for appetizers, chicken saag and chicken korma for the main entrees, including a basket of garlic naan on the side. Everything was DELICIOUS! Lexie even brought us a cool yogurt sauce to help soothe the unexpected spiciness. But for dessert... we shared the Double Ka Meetha. The Indian bread pudding with saffron, cardamom, chopped nuts. They had a ton of vegan options! Way more than are reflected on the menu! The soy chicken was delicious. Just be careful--much spicier than most Indian places I eat at, so maybe go down one number from your norm. I would have liked to taste more flavor and less spice, overall. Great food and ambience for a nice meal. The naans here were super soft and fresh, something I haven't eaten a long time. Bullet naan is must try if you want a few spice kicks. Our food came out in a timely manner. Chicken saag dish was a bit bland (less salt) and too creamy for my taste. The sides of rice were really flavorful as is - the best I've eaten anywhere. This is just high quality Indian food unquestionably. I am vegan and they have a huge selection of menu items to choose from. I have tried many of there dishes but I always get the devil sauce on the side. The bar manager, Brian, is the best most attentive and informed server! I want to preface his by saying I order from this place a lot and have come to their buffet which is nice and plentiful. My last takeout order (picture posted) was simple and small so no troubles there. My issue is with the price vs quantity. On my last order we got Gulab Jamun . I have had it before at the buffet so thought to be nice to take it home. For $5.00 I got 4 tiny balls in syrup. Flavor is good, but (see picture) I think for all the plastic they use to send the item home they could have filled up the space. That's over a $1 per little ball! I'm really kind of disappointed in that regard because the cost just doesn't seem to match. 6 would be a better number or just at least fill up the empty space. Just a suggestion. I didn't know I loved Indian food until I ate here. My husband and I ordered their feast for two a few years back to try it out and occasionally order it now again. Most of the time we just order our favorite entrees. I love their goat masala, my husband loves their goat vindaloo- spicy and their onion and garlic naan bread. The feast for two is like a whole days worth of food. We usually order for pick up but the occasional times we've been in, we've always had great service. Wow I did not expect to find a restaurant like this in Webster! I usually have to drive all the way to Houston for some quality Indian food, but I guess I don't have to anymore! The restaurant is in a fairly new strip center right off of NASA and the interior design is beautiful. There is plenty of seating and it looked like they had a private dining area for parties. I got the chicken masala with rice and a side order of roasted garlic naan. This was DELICIOUS! I wish they gave more chicken though because the dish was pretty pricey for the amount of food they give ($14.50). Overall, the food quality, service and atmosphere gets a thumbs up from me. Hands down the best location to get Butter Chicken from. The taste is so addicting. It's creamy and fresh. It is a off the menu item and would need to request it. Not sure why they wouldn't promote this delicious dish. Would recommend to get the garlic naan with it. They do have a buffet on the weekends that I haven't tried YET but would definitely come back to try. Great for large parties and great ambience to bring a date. I've been enjoying Indian food for 50 plus years. This restaurant definitely doesn't disappoint. An explosion of flavors hit you with each bite. I like chicken madras spicy and it's in my top 5 of all time and I've had it in London, and Mumbai. Yes it's that good. Try a lil of everything on the weekend with an amazing buffet. Omgosh the food her smells as good as it tastes! Prices are a tiny bit steep but when you try the foods, you'll understand that it's worth every penny. I ordered the feast for two, the sampler for one and the mixed grill, with lassi (sweet) and the dessert quartet. We ordered takeout and my son picked it up from the restaurant. He said they were warm and friendly and the place was neat and clean. The food... so good. The vindaloo is amazing. The Saag paneer was fragrant and creamy. The sweet lassi was creamy and tangy and was my favorite lassi I've ever had. The desserts were to-die-for sweet and decadent! The naan bread was bigger than a dinner plate and was fluffy and tasty! I dipped it in the vindaloo and it was yummy! The packaging of the food was amazing. They used plastic reusable dishes, and styrofoam wrapped in plastic wrap to keep from spilling. even their sauces were wrapped in plastic wrap so they wouldn't pop open and spill. Then everything was placed neatly in a large paper bag with handles. It was packaged very nicely and everything was fresh and hot when he got it home. This was our first time at this restaurant but we will definitely be back again! The chicken tandoori lacked spice, the lamb was undercooked, chickn biryani was barely seasoned, and the okra was soggy and dull for my taste. We've been eating at this family run restaurant way back 30 years when they opened in their original location. It's always been well managed, staff is outstanding, and the food is just incredibly good . Had takeout today of samosas, chicken tikka masala , saag paneer , dal mahkni , and naan bread .
