Top: spicy wonton soup Bottom right: beef udon soup Bottom left: wonton with garlic sauce

Food was so yummy! We ordered 1. general Tso's chicken w side of white rice. It was so flavorful and crispy. Perfect texture 2. Wonton w/ garlic sauce. So yummy w just enough spice 3. Beef udon noodle soup. Comes in a large bowl. The udon noodles are perfectly cooked and it has large chunks of beef. The hearty soup flavor is perfect 4. Spicy wonton soup. My favorite! Comes in a large bowl. Not too spicy, but the broth has a very savory, distinctive flavor and the wontons are delicious! I usually add hot sauce to my soup and I didn't because I didn't want to change the flavor.

"We're actually in a Chinese restaurant," were my Hubby's words after sitting down and grabbing the last available table in a busy place. He meant, and I agree, this is a place that serves food Asian families would normally dine on, and not your Americanized style that we are all used to. I got Happy Family Udon, and now udon noodles will be a new obsession for me. Hubs went spicy with their Beef with Rice Noodle soup, and finished every bit of a nice sized bowl. They have dim sum! My daughter is a boa freak, and theirs were fresh, soft and filled with nice chunks of pork. It's good to see this place full of locals. It's different than most other Chinese places around here.

I've been here multiple times now and I can say it's one of the best Chinese restaurants I've ever been to. There hasn't been a single thing that I've tried that I haven't liked! The Wonton with Garlic sauce is a 10/10 must have. Dan Dan Noodles, xiao long bao soup dumplings, and the sweet and sour chicken are also extremely good I get them almost every time. Other things I've tried include steamed bbq buns, kung pao chicken, bbq pork fried rice, egg drop soup, beef rice noodles, general tso's chicken, broccoli beef, and Mongolian beef. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the steamed shrimp dumplings, they can just use a little more flavor. Service sometimes takes a while but it's only because they are so busy and seem to have a small kitchen, the food is well worth any wait time in my opinion.

Wonton soup

Very good food, we had the Mongolian beef and spicy won ton soup. The waitress said that the beef would take longer. Soup was out fast, beef took 25 plus minutes. Prices were reasonable and portions large. Will go back.

I visited a friend in Richland and we were both craving authentic Chinese food. Noodle Thyme hit the spot! The woman working at the restaurant that day was so friendly and had great recommendations. Each table has a tablet so you can go through the menu at your leisure and place your order through their system when you are ready. The restaurant is casual and had plenty of indoor seating. All the food was delicious, but I especially recommend the string beans and spicy beef tendon (which is a cold dish).

Decided to try Noodle Thyme for dinner tonight. Food is tasty. Portions are large so we ended up sharing entrees so that we can try both. In my opinion, this is your traditional Chinese restaurant. Pretty straightforward, no surprises, you know what to expect- sometimes that is what you want/need for comfort meals. Service was fast and friendly, did not seem very busy in there. Hopefully they get more traffic since this is a mom and pop shop.

I had been wanting to try this place for a few months, and finally got to try it a few days before my birthday. And oh my goodness!! I found my new favorite restaurant! I ordered far too much because everything looked good, and it was true - every single item was so good. And everyone was so wonderful, me and my family felt very welcome and comfortable. Absolutely can't wait to go back.

It took an hour and a half to receive our order. I wouldn't say it was worth that sort of wait. I don't plan on a return visit.

Crab puffs are a HUGE family favorite. We never get just one order.. we always leave with an extra batch to eat later. They have a little bit of a sweeter cream cheese filling that I haven't been able to find anything like anywhere else.. it's very unique. The new China Cafe Express is honestly amazing. The food is just as good as ever. The service is amazing still, same sweet waitresses as the old location.. food is still well priced. Did not feel like express at all as we sat at a nice table. The restaurant was very clean. Lek has been there since I was a kid, she's always been so kind to my family everytime we've been in as well as the very sweet other waitress who we've seen often too!! Some suggestions from my husband and kids after eating there tonight: Mongolian beef, honey walnut shrimp, number 4 dinner combo, definitely crab puffs & hot and sour soup.

We got the appetizer platter and some extra orders of spring rolls and crab rangoons. The crab puffs were obviously homemade and so recently fried that i had to wait a few seconds to let them cool. They were the perfect crunchy creamy combination and went very well with the sesame dipping sauce they came with. The spring rolls were also fantastic, thick rolls stiffed with cabbage and meat with curry spices. We also got a round of egg flower soup and tea for the table. The tea was some of the best jasmine tea i've had and was perfect to bump up the caffeine levels to continue our drive. For dinner we got the sautéed broccoli, kung pow chicken, beef chow mein, Szechuan shrimp, salt pepper squid and rice for the table. I'm not a huge fan of kung pow chicken usually because it doesn't have many veggies, but this was amazing. In with the chicken there were peppers, onions, corn, mushrooms, and peanuts! The sauce was spicy and super flavorful. This was by far my favorite dish. The Szechuan shrimp was sweet and tangy and the shrimp were coated in a shell of breading that was miraculously still crunchy while also soaking up the sauce to make the perfect bite. The broccoli was the simplest dish, but even though it was just steamed broccoli it had a wonderful umami rich sauce that highlighted the perfectly cooked vegetable. The salt and pepper squid was perfectly fried and crispy and super tender. It also came with a selection of blackened peppers and onions that went really well with the squid bites. The beef chow mein had perfectly tender beef bites with onions peppers and bean sprouts. The bean sprouts were well cooked and yet nice and crunchy. I couldn't find any noodles in the dish but the bean sprouts did the same job and I think the dish was better without. So good. This restaurant, aside from the food, was really clean and well run. Susie was very nice, and when we had finished eating we got to talk to her a little about how she had just opened and how she had moved out here from portland. I will be back to pendleton in a few weeks for the round up, and you can bet 100% that you can find me at Susie's!!!!

Those were hand-made on the spot, Cochise. Yang Tze Pork had great char sui flavor, and sides were robust and delicious. We've all had Chicken Teriyaki, right? (...char-grilled chicken strips on steamed rice with sauce-outa-the-squirt-bottle. Right?). Well forget that!
