Wait staff very accommodating for food allergy. Attentive and courteous. Pork slider was very good, in house pickled peppers were excellent. We had an appetizer do you remember what it was OK? Mozz sticks very buttery and delicious. Top notch. Just go. read more

Great pizza, kinda reminds me of chuckee cheese but with adult sized portions. I had the meat head. The thin crust made for a deliciously crunchy finish read more

Great food and great service. Shoutout Sarah for helping me and my buddy out (at least her name was on the receipt!!). Had their mojito, crispy potatoes, and a DIY pizza. All was dope and had a great time, ambiance was awesome. Will be back read more

Nonno's - DIY pizza with a bunch of stuff I cannot quite remember - Pizza Near Me - Houston, Texas

I was highly anticipating this opening and was not disappointed! Two types of pizza you can get. The main option is Chicago Tavern style with crispy crust. We got the broccoli ricotta one and it was amazing! The other is grandma style with focaccia base. If you have ever had focaccia at Nobies you know this is amazing and it absolutely was. The ambiance of 80s nostalgia is unique and incredibly done. Will be coming back with some quarters for the arcade. read more

Nonno's - Ricotta Broccoli Tavern Style Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Houston, Texas

The mozz sticks and meat head pizza were delicious. The cavatelli pasta was my favorite though, and it rivals other great Italian spots in Houston. We had great service. We went on a Friday and there were kids running around and enjoying the arcade game wall. read more

Great service and delicious food. One of the top places for pizza and pasta. Great staff, drinks and food. read more

Nonno's - Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Houston, Texas

Nonno's is a classic tavern style Italian restaurant. Great ambiance with a vibe of everyone talking and having a fun time. Lots of classic fixtures from places in our past like Pizza Hut lamps! The service was impeccable as everything was explained carefully and suggestions made with time to decide on our choices. Drink choices were extensive and not typical sodas. Wait staff checked on our water supply often. Delicious choices of pizza, salads, appetizers and desserts. All ingredients were very fresh especially on the salad. There is also a ribeye piece of pizza made on thick focaccia bread! A nice evening in Little Italy. read more

Excellent Chicago thin crust pizza. Fun atmosphere. Will go there again. Good appetizers too.

MY COMFORT SPOT!!! Andrea is the best!! I live in Cypress but have to make a trip here every so often for my wings & mozzarella sticks. (and margarita haha) I Don't have any pictures to post because I eat everything so quick haha!! A MUST VISIT!! read more

It's outrageous they add 22% gratuity to tables 6 or more. The service was so bad, we had to constantly ask for things we had ordered. The waitress was taking her SWEET time, and even shorted me my change at the end. The food was honestly such a disappointment for how expensive it was. Selling a sandwich for $18 with no side of fries and the cheapest side to accompany it was $10-11. The pasta tasted like it came from a can. The bread appetizer was atrocious, the only decent menu item we ordered were the mozzarella sticks. The food was so disappointing but the service really sent me over the edge. I'm still upset we were forced to tip 22% to someone who very obviously knew she was getting a tip regardless and could care less. The amount of times we had to ask for where something was at and she very obviously just kept forgetting. Will never get my business or any of my friends business. The mandatory 22% tip and not splitting bills needs to stop. read more

Crispy thin crust pizza with a build your own option. Well toasted and very delicious. Friendly service, funky 70's atmosphere. No Iced tea but my beer was excellent! It has an arcade area which can be a little loud and busy with kids. Highly recommended! read more

My family and I had a horrible experience here. My 86 year old grandma was screamed at by two employees and was asked to leave. I would not recommend coming here due to horrible customer service and employees. read more

This place is super popular so you have to get there right when it opens. We sat on the patio which is great for kids. They have a huge turf area and they can just run around. I got the chicken piccata which isn't the regular piccata but had very good flavor. Just for the price had a side with it. My family got pizza which was good! read more

As someone who is From Chicago, I appreciate the night towards Tavern style pizza. My three stars are for the food and the food only. I hate the fact that they don't have phones and you can only walk in. I walked in, and my order was immediately taken while I was sitting at the bar. I continue to wait for my food for roughly 40 minutes before, I went to the end of the bar where my order was taken to ask for an update. I stood there for 6 to 8 minutes before anyone asked if they could help me.. When I actually got my pizza, it was cold. It was cold like it had been sitting for 20 minutes cold. This place is going to be walk-ins only and take to go orders at the bar, at minimum they could make sure that the takeout service is good. I haven't sat down to eat in the restaurant, maybe the service there is better. read more

It was not what I expected from all reviews and article. The pizza's crust was burned, and the salad had parsley.??? Oh well

Food is great!!!! Employees are very knowledgeable about the menu and service is friendly. The biggest issue I've had the past 2 times I've visited is that the music is wayyy too loud. I visited tonight with friends, and we sat outside on the patio. We went with a group of friends and could not hear each other speaking across the table. I had this issue last time I went when I sat inside. We asked employees 3 times to turn down to volume. The third time we asked the waitress said they keep it high for the ambiance of the restaurant, which is unfortunate because the food is great, but its hard to enjoy a meal with friends and family when you can't hear them. read more

Tried their pizza and my b family from Brooklyn loved it. Will be back again: it was crowded but took only less than five minutes to seat us. read more

We decided to try Nonno's before the big freeze hit and from the outside I wasn't sure what to expect. Inside it was a really cool retro vibe, with a mini game section off to the left. I loved the music and the decor right away. The greeters were really friendly and the whole place was a happy mix of families and groups of friends without any weirdness. The servers really cared about good customer service and came to check in on us regularly. We didn't have to wait long for our order. We got the mozzarella sticks - the hot Larry sauce was epic - smoky and a touch of spice - I would definitely order these again. We got the meathead and Maui wowee pizza. Someone accidentally brought us a pizza with sausage on that looked like our Maui. They brought us our actual pizza and we got to still enjoy the other one (custom pizza with red onion, sausage, jalapeño and pineapple). It was actually better than the Maui in my opinion! We ordered the peppermint cheesecake to go after our server let us know this would be going off the menu soon but they'll be bringing a tiramisu cheesecake on in its place. Thanks to our lovely servers! read more

Nonno's was amazing!! The pizza is fantastic only downside was the music was up so loud that we had to yell at each other and could barely hear read more

Read article in Chron that this was best pizza in the nation so I had to go and check out the best pizza on the nation that I didn't know about. The place was very nice. Retro 80's, Pizza Hut throw back kinda. Our waiter James was attentive and did a good job. He was busy due to a pretty good size crowd. The pizza was a thin crust, crispy meat pizza. Good size. It was cut in squares so each slice was small and easy to handle. The pizza was very good. Not so sure it's the best in the nation, but to be honest, don't think I have had that pizza yet. Will definitely return to try other items read more

A great little place. Good vibes, nice wine list, excellent service. Highly recommend the Maui Wowie pizza....don't overthink, just do it.

Fun atmosphere. Excellent pizza. Crispy thin crust chicago style? Pasta and mozzarella sticks were amazing!

The crispy potatoes (get extra of the sauce that comes with it and dip your pizza in it then thank me later) and the meat head pizza were delicious. I'm not much of a thin crust girl but if I'm gonna get it, I'll definitely come here. Hoping to go back and try the pasta entrees which the table next to us got and looked amazing. The music was a bit loud and club-like which was a lot but other than that my friends and I had a great time and would definitely return. read more

Service was amazing and the food is delicious. The atmosphere is amazing as well. Highly recommend this restaurant for all. Thank you again for the wonderful experience. read more

We went with a large group so we ordered 4 different pizzas. One was not very good at all and the other three were less than average. It's probably the least favorite pizza I have ever had. If you loved Barry's pizza you may not care for this. None in our party of 10 cared for the pizza. Everyone was disappointed. The music is uncomfortably loud. The selection was amazing but you can not have a conversation. The inside of the restaurant has an old musty smell and is not particularly attractive. The service was friendly and good. I don't get the draw. read more

The restaurant is a abuzz with activity which is fun, but the pizza is not my favorite - it was thin and a bit too oily for me. Worth trying once. read more

My kids love the sauce on the wings and the pizza crust is super thin and crispy! Little on the salty side but overall very good. read more

Such a cool place--so nostalgic. It's a good tavern style pizza. Kenneally's probably has a better pie, but the atmosphere here is a lot of fun. Fun hangout, and good pizza. read more

The 2 stars is for the sauce that goes with the cheese. It was the only good thing . The pizza is exactly like DiGorno extra thin. The are obviously pre made frozen because they will not let you modify anything. Can not add mushrooms well because they don't have them. Asked to add onions was told no. You can not change anything about the pizza. read more

The service was great and staff was very friendly. The food is good and old school vibes and music was on point!

Really cool and fun atmosphere. The wait and host staff very polite and helpful. 1.5 hour wait on Sat. night. Fortunately, we were able to grab a seat at the bar. Warning! A 2-topping (build your own) pizza = $28. It starts at $14, but $2 of that is for "Mozzarella" cheese? Um, it's pizza guys. Wait, you want "Fresh Mozarella"? That'll be $3. Seriously, it's on the menu like that. So, you can have not-fresh mozzarella and save a buck. They have more affordable options, but price gouging get's them 3 stars from me. read more

4.5. This is a great spot for pizza, for Houston standards. If we are going to be picky, this pizza needs wayyyy more cheese and the toppings to be under the cheese to be official "tavern style" Chicago pizza. (from a gal who grew up there). The pizza is tasty, and it's better than the standard Houston pizza everyone seems to make around the city. The ambiance is wonderful! It's very stylish, the drinks are really good, and the service is exceptional. We will come again, and I will ask for double cheese :) read more

Food was great! Kale salad was so yummy. Super fun atmosphere, and service was awesome!

Great apps, awesome pizza/pasta, and even better service. Will be back to Nonno's for sure! read more

The uncomfortably loud music completely ruined it for us. I see in many previous reviews that this has been noted. We asked the girl at the front desk - who was basically the DJ if they could turn it down a bit - they put on a really good jazz number for one song --- and then the next song was Billy Squier's The Stroke - at what I swear was an even louder level than before, and that was it from there on. I observed several tables of people having to shout at each other and a waiter yelling in someone's ear to answer a question about the menu. It seems so unnecessary. read more

Terrible food. Wasted manager guy, smelled so strong of liquor screaming at everyone. Won't be back. No wonder so many places are closing down. read more

Sarah is one of the most knowledgeable waitress I've experienced. Very aware, informative, and organic. We got the bada boom wings and a pizza both super fresh! It was giving very Stranger Things vibes but felt so retro! The pizza brought back nostalgic memories as when I was a kid! The hostess was a whole vibe. She saw us dancing outside and came out to dance with us lol the drinks were SO good and it was just an all around good time! read more

We live within walking distance of Nonno's, and when we heard they were having their soft opening we had to stop in for dinner. Music was very loud, but they were playing some of my favorite artists (their other dining establishments, Toasted Coconut and Nobie's, also have very loud music, it's a point of pride for them.) You can put a $10 roll of quarters on your tab to play the 5 arcade games they have - but be warned that the joysticks on the far left one don't work, and the one on the far right eats quarters. Our waiter wasn't great at explaining the different pasta and dessert options, which was a bummer but it was fine since we knew we were in for pizza. I was disappointed that despite being an homage to their grandma, there were so few options for the focaccia, "grandma style" pizza. However, the Nonno's slice was the best bite we had, followed by the Maui Wowie. Mozz sticks are also a hit. The desserts were weak, which was a bummer knowing how incredible they are at Nobie's. Finally, stick to beer, as their cocktails are syrupy. The margarita I had tasted like straight sour mix, which for $12 was a disappointment, again, especially since we know they knock drinks out of the park at Toasted Coconut and Nobie's. Since we live so close, I want this place to thrive and succeed, so hoping they're able to iron out the kinks and make this what already is a fun date night spot. We did have a blast playing the pinball machines while we waited for our food! read more
