    Mango Lassi
    Allie G.

We stumbled upon Nomnosh while looking to grab a quick lunch. The restaurant was fully empty on a Sunday afternoon, but the menu looked enticing. The interior had a casual vibe with a colorful wall mural and plenty of seating. We were looking at the menu for a while, so the friendly lady at the counter started giving us recommendations. We both ordered Momos, since that's what was most popular - the Crispy Kurkure Momo and Spicy Gravy Momo. I also got a Mango Lassi. Both Momo dishes were tasty! They came with 8 pieces per order and I'm glad we got to sample two varieties (although we got chicken in both). The Crispy Kurkure had a nice texture and I liked the dipping sauce. The lady also gave us some mint dipping sauce on the house, which was very sweet of her. The Spicy Gravy Momo was also great, especially the creamy spicy red gravy. My Mango Lassi was pretty standard, but I did like the shredded coconut on top. Overall, good for a casual bite with friendly staff!

Very tasty Indian street food. I like that they have lots of choices with soya chaap which is my favourite protein for Indian food. Both the butterlicious and tikka biryani bowls with chaap were super flavourful - the butterlicious is the better choice if you want something rich and saucy, and tikka is the choice for something more intense. I really like the raita that comes with the biryani. The veggie momos in sauce were very good. I thought I ordered with butterlicious gravy, but the gravy I got looked different than the butterlicious I got with the biryani, so I think it might have been the malai gravy instead - either way it was delicious. The masala chai was alright; I'd order it again but it's not my favourite chai. The masala seems to come from mainly ground spices instead of the spice being infused into the brewed tea, so it settles if you don't stir. The mango lassi was one of the best I've had! The texture was the best and I also really liked the shaved coconut topping! The food is reasonably priced. The portions lean towards being snack sized so if you're totally starving, you might need to order multiple items, but these are good portions for sharing or if you don't want a heavy meal. The staff are very friendly. The vibe in the restaurant is colourful and energetic. Sometimes it's Punjabi music and sometimes it's house music but I always like their music choices!

UPDATE: The value at Nomnosh has gone down since initial opening with yet another menu change. Tasty food but too expensive.

Ordered for dinner recently and loved it all - momos, kurkure spring rolls and creamy malai masti. For sure will order again!

I would also describe the food as modern since there are some cool fusion dishes such as the mango burrata (I didn't end up ordering this but I wish I did!) I love lamb biryanis and this place has the most colorful and aesthetic lamb biryani I've ever seen. The samosas were also plated with a lot of creativity and artistic touches. Overall the food was very flavorful. I'm already thinking about my next bowl of biryani!

I want to start this review by giving a big shoutout to Pemba who was our server, he was so kind and took such good care of us and recommended really good items based on what we wanted. Everything I tried from here was 10/10! Some stand out items - :: Bombay pomfret fry - OH! The masala and coating on this was sooo good we were sucking on the bones till the very end. Such a great appetizer! :: Lasooni palak burrata - I was a little apprehensive about this at first because burrata and palak didn't seem like something I would want to try but I was wrong! This was one of my favourite dishes. It was such a delicious fusion item. For dessert, I would recommend getting their soan papdi malai khwaab and their malai ghewar. Not too sweet, just perfect. For drinks, aam pana with gin is the way to go. I really cannot wait to come back and order everything again!

We were staying at the Marriott around the corner and the reviews were solid and since both Canada (and Vancouver) and India were once British colonies, we figured Mount Everest Kitchen & Grill had to provide a good representation of Indian fare by proxy, right? And it sure was. All four of us were so happy with everything we ordered. I ordered the set menu with mutton curry, rice, daal, raita and some veggies. I love full-flavored things and I love mutton (older lamb) and you can't find it at most places. This curry was amazing. The wife and Son of Tiki Dave ordered Chicken Tika Masala and Chicken Tandoori. The girl ordered Chicken Teriyaki. WHAT?? But she loved it. Ambience was lovely; service was excellent. We also ordered two orders of Garlic Naan which was probably too much but delicious. We had LOTS of leftovers and dang it, I made certain to finish them off and did on the way to the airport the next day! TIKI DAVE from TIKI DAVE'S TERRIFIC TRIPS highly highly recommends Mount Everest Kitchen & Grill! I will be making a video of our experience that day and will be uploading it here! However it is not focused and instead provides a little bit of the region for everyone (Nepal, China, India, Pakistani influences). Came in for lunch on a weekday. Quickly seated and tended to by the staff. Interior is more of a diner scene than nice cafe. Bathrooms are gender neutral and clean but not nice. Here's my three things: 1) I got a lunch special featuring fish peckora, and tandoor chicken. Good flavor but missed on the real spice flavors. Veg salad was sour and worked with the rest of the plate. 2) These folks can make some NAAN! The Naan stole the show. Sweet, salty and crisp. 3) Price wise you can fill up and have a drink for $25-30CAN.
