Also named Bahubali Biryani House Downtown, a recent name change not yet reflected in the online listings. What is reflected in both listings is the tremendous buffet we enjoyed. We were greeted and seated by the smiling Sehja. She asked which naan we wanted and took our drink order. Plain naan and mango lassi. Then off to the buffet. Aloo pakora, methi panner, yellow dal tadka and butter chicken makes for a full plate of goodness. Plenty of tables and booths to sit and enjoy. Between the great food and excellent service our lunch was a treat.

Was in Canada for a weekend trip and we HAD to try Indian food so we found Indian Delicacy, it's tucked on the side of a building plaza surrounded by beautiful tulips! Mango lassi was creamy and lightly mango taste it wasn't overpowering! We tried pani puri for the first time and it was a fun and delicious food to eat!You poke a hole and put the filling and sauce in! We also got the fried chicken but it was more like popcorn chicken in yogurt sauce soo delicious! By the way we got all mild and it was still pretty spicy! The highlight of our meal was the buttered chicken but honestly everything was chef's kiss and the best Indian food we've had so far! Ugh I'm salivating just thinking about it again! They were also super nice and answered all our questions! Great for date night or group catch up! 12/10 would recommend!

I've had plenty of Indian in Vancouver, and I love cooking it at home myself. I've had it at all price points in the city. I may not have the most traditionally discerning taste buds for this cuisine, but Indian Delicacy is my personal favorite Indian food in the city. I went for my mother's birthday, as she is pescatarian. We ordered fish curries and tandoori, and every bite was insane. The tandoori in particular blew me away -- I'd never had tandoori fish before, and I dare say it was better than the other proteins. The chutneys provided were sufficiently spicy, and i also loved how the curries served were kept hot by the candles lit below the pot. The service was outstanding -- we did go at an hour where it was pretty empty, but nonetheless, our server made multiple trips to ensure we were happy and refill our waters or help us order more naan/rice. Will try the lunch buffet next!

This restaurant is hard to find (you have to go around the back). It was pretty empty when we went for dinner so I would think the service would have been a little more attentive. I ordered my dish mild and my friend ordered hers spicy. Mine came and it was very spicy. Even my friend who likes spice said it was very spicy. I think they accidentally made mine spicy and my friends mild because my friends dish was definitely more spicy than mine (by a lot). The waitress didn't offer to make it right and charged me for the dish, even though I didn't eat any and sent it back. I think if they made a mistake that they should either have remade it for free or not charged me for the dish. The reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 0 stars: My friend said hers was too mild, but otherwise tasty. The appetizer we got was also good. Also, after I complained, they took a $10 dollars off of our order, but I still paid half for something I didn't eat because of their mistake.

Nice Indian restaurant on the corner of Pender & Thurlow, with an entrance kind of farther in from the street. Right before 6pm, we walked by debating on whether to enter as there were no customers inside. Being hungry, we went in. Fortunately, right after 6pm, three other groups came in. Many to-go orders were being processed so service was ok; we were only checked in when we were done eating. Glass bottle of water at the table so self service for water. We got the regular and garlic naan as well as the chicken vindaloo. Everything was good. Lunch buffet available.

Good food, calm atmosphere at dinner time, service was good. Ambiance isn't much and finding it was a little difficult (have to go around the back at dinner time).

Food was delicious. Nice service, nice, dining room, rice was fluffy, naan perfect , and the butter chicken delish. I loved the papri chaat.

Butter chicken, basmati rice, garlic naan

Service is great. Classic Indian restaurant vibe. Butter chicken was exactly what I wanted! No notes. White meat and very tasty. Mild is I think classic mild; or has a hint of spiciness if you're a Midwest princess like me . Garlic naan - always good.

I was looking for some good Indian food around the area, and this came up as a recommendation. The entrance is a bit hard to find. I had to go behind building to find the door. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the smell of wonderful spices. there was Bollywood music playing in the background, which added a nice touch to the experience. We ordered two orders of garlic naan, fish malabari, mixed tandoori platter and the lamb koorma. Do know that rice is a separate order. We ordered two basmati rice but felt we could just order one -- they give you a lot! They don't skimp out on the protein amount. The fish malabari was so tangy and sweet. Lamb koorma was perfectly spiced. I appreciated that the garlic naan wasn't too oily, as most places make it really oily. I'd definitely come back here again. They offer a lunch buffet for $20 pax, which is an epic deal.

Super excited to find an Indian restaurant right around the corner from my hotel. It was very clean, lots of seating and comfortable at that. The food was pretty good, not delicious, but above average. I've eaten a fair amount of Indian food in the past, so I feel like I can give a decent review compared to others. I must say that they have a super kind weight staff. He checked in on us frequently, and had an excellent personality. I'll definitely be back, next time for the lunch

I had the lunch buffet. Great heat on the butter chicken, just enough that you can feel it but doesn't over power the flavor.

I made reservations for us for 4pm, so as to take advantage of their Happy Hour. We went earlier today (a Wednesday) and the place was empty at 4pm. I think it fills up later, for dinner. (I still advise making reservations as you never really know if it's going to be busy). Right off the bat, we were blown away by the interior. It is gorgeous! Small, but gorgeous. The murals, the chandeliers, the bar....and omg, the bathrooms. If you visit, you MUST check out the bathrooms. They have the most fabulous sinks I have ever seen. They didn't have a large selection of HH offerings, unfortunately, but what they did have was amazingly good. My friends who were extremely knowledgeable on Indian cuisine ordered for us, and we shared 3 different small plates (tandoori vegetable momos, cochin cauliflower bites, and some sort of delicious fried onions), and 2 desserts (soan paid malai khwaab, and foxtail millet pudding). And just...wow, everything was SO SO good. The three appetizers were so flavorful and the desserts, unlike anything I've ever had before and simply delicious. We also had drinks (but, of course!). One friend had a mango lassi which she loved, one friend had a high ball which she loved, and I had a mango mojito which I loved. (See a pattern? lol). All was great. Our server, Leesa (not sure of spelling) was so incredibly personable and lovely, and a gentleman I gather is the owner came by twice to make sure everything was okay. We felt like VIPs, with all the care and attention we got. Seriously, the folks here could not be nicer. I'm already planning on bringing my two daughters here. I know they'll love this place. Heck, anyone would love this place. My friends and I all plan on returning. Great great place!

We came around 4pm and had a couple of drinks from the regular menu plus the Kerala pepper chicken the momos and the veggie fritters. Again, the food is very good and the prices were reasonable. I will have to come back late night to see if the happy hour issue is rectified at that time as I see the menu is still the exact same as before. ********* Came here after hearing about the recent celebrity visit. First of all, the food is very good the portions are also decent and the prices are reasonable. I would have liked to have come back here for the lunch special as it's walking distance for me, but my visit left a bad taste in my mouth, which I will detail below. The dishes are inventive. There are the usual suspects, but also some that aren't often see at most Indian restaurants in Metro Van. The staff is also very attentive and friendly. The cocktails are pricey, but interesting. The decor is trendy. The bathrooms have an interesting sink feature that I have not seen before. If you're into social media, there's definitely some photo opportunities here. The service is a bit weird as there isn't really a dedicated server for the table. So, basically, we had all sorts of different people taking our drink and food orders, bringing us food, refilling our water and checking in on us. On the plus, it means that you are checked on a lot. On the minus, it is a bit inconsistent because there isn't one single person who knows what is going on with the table, but more a revolving door. For instance, one staff member came and took our drink order, however the wrong drink ended up being made and brought to me by the bartender, even though the drinks had been extensively discussed with the original server. So there's definitely communication issues. My biggest gripe with this restaurant is that we were denied ordering from the happy hour menu by the manager. I did not want to argue about it at the time as the bartender was told in front of us to deny us the happy hour menu, from which we wanted to order some cocktails. At this point, we had already ordered several menu items (in fact so many that the server had advised us we had more than enough food and that we did not need to order an additional dish we were considering) plus full priced cocktails. So it's not like they weren't making money off our table. The reason we were given, which I believe was told to the bartender (to be clear, I do not believe the bartender was at fault, but simply the messenger in this situation), was that the happy hour was only a summer thing. Again, we visually saw the manager instruct the bartender to tell us these things -- they were literally standing in front of our table, less than 5 feet away. This was not only unprofessional, but I found it incredibly dishonest. It was mid-December when we were at the restaurant, 3.5 months after summer had ended. The happy hour menu is literally the first page in the menu book. If a restaurant doesn't want to honour their own happy hour menu, it costs very little to simply reprint the happy hour menu, remove that page completely, or cross it out, if they really want to be cheap. At minimum, they should have honoured the menu for patrons that they gave it to and then rectified the situation for future. For this reason, I cannot recommend this establishment even though the food was very good and I would have otherwise come back and supported this small business.
