Great lunch specials are to be found here from 11 am - 3 pm everyday. My husband and I chose the…read morechicken ($17.00) and lamb ($18.00) thalis with "medium" heat. Both were absolutely excellent in flavour. Lamb was tender and well portioned for the price, in a luscious sauce I could have drunk like soup. Chicken was also delicious; there was a fruity, mango-like element in the sauce with accents of tomato and spice. Both dishes were accompanied by black dahl, yogurt seasoned with asafetida (an Indian spice that's a bit of an acquired taste), sliced carrots and cukes to cut the richness, with large, fan-shaped pieces of naan and a heap of basmati rice on the side. Oh, and a small bowl of cashew rice pudding was there for a sweet finish. We were satisfied but not overwhelmed by the portion sizes. Beyond the food, the decor is elegant and date-worthy. But my absolute favorite touch in the entire place was the bathroom sink, which I initially mistook for a garbage can. Just above it is a long golden spindle descending from the ceiling that's a bit puzzling at first. Brush it to one side and see what happens--definitely check it out!

This restaurant is so beautiful! The interior has a modern tropical feel and the presentation of…read morethe food was very well done. I would also describe the food as modern since there are some cool fusion dishes such as the mango burrata (I didn't end up ordering this but I wish I did!) I love lamb biryanis and this place has the most colorful and aesthetic lamb biryani I've ever seen. The samosas were also plated with a lot of creativity and artistic touches. Overall the food was very flavorful. I'm already thinking about my next bowl of biryani!

TIKI DAVE and family were in need of lunch while visiting Vancouver and fast. Daughter of TIKI DAVE…read morewas "starving". We were staying at the Marriott around the corner and the reviews were solid and since both Canada (and Vancouver) and India were once British colonies, we figured Mount Everest Kitchen & Grill had to provide a good representation of Indian fare by proxy, right? And it sure was. All four of us were so happy with everything we ordered. I ordered the set menu with mutton curry, rice, daal, raita and some veggies. I love full-flavored things and I love mutton (older lamb) and you can't find it at most places. This curry was amazing. The wife and Son of Tiki Dave ordered Chicken Tika Masala and Chicken Tandoori. The girl ordered Chicken Teriyaki. WHAT?? But she loved it. Ambience was lovely; service was excellent. We also ordered two orders of Garlic Naan which was probably too much but delicious. We had LOTS of leftovers and dang it, I made certain to finish them off and did on the way to the airport the next day! TIKI DAVE from TIKI DAVE'S TERRIFIC TRIPS highly highly recommends Mount Everest Kitchen & Grill! I will be making a video of our experience that day and will be uploading it here! First there is no mistaking this for a high end restaurant as another review recorded. This is a…read moresolid Nepalese joint. However it is not focused and instead provides a little bit of the region for everyone (Nepal, China, India, Pakistani influences). Came in for lunch on a weekday. Quickly seated and tended to by the staff. Interior is more of a diner scene than nice cafe. Bathrooms are gender neutral and clean but not nice. Here's my three things: 1) I got a lunch special featuring fish peckora, and tandoor chicken. Good flavor but missed on the real spice flavors. Veg salad was sour and worked with the rest of the plate. 2) These folks can make some NAAN! The Naan stole the show. Sweet, salty and crisp. 3) Price wise you can fill up and have a drink for $25-30CAN.

Nikita did an awesome job We loved pretty everything including the virgin mojitos, naans, papdi chaat , hariali paneer and the tandoori lamb chops. Always a reliable one…read more.... Food was great and delish as always. We ordered the chicken biryani - big chunky pieces of chicken and spice flavoured rice. Came with a yogurt spice breaker. Rice was a bit soggy but overall the flavours were there. Butter chicken and shahi paneer - both outstanding. Can't get enough of the sauce. Paneer was fresh and butter chicken succulent. Always did the tandoori...this one was a miss more like bbq chicken. The tandoori paste/spice was absent. Chicken wasn't red at all. Still good but not tandoori good. Fish pakoras - big pieces and fish wasn't dry . Made perfectly and came with 2 dips, one of which was tartar sauce lol. The other was chutney. Lol. Of course had rice and garlic naan. Garlic naan was fresh and perfectly lathered with butter and garlic. Had the watermelon martini. Very good. Also the mango lassi. - tasted rich and full of flavour. Well done. Dessert - Dubai Choco cake - average tasting. The top was the only one that resembled Dubai chocolate the bottom was just Choco cake. For the price...it was a small slice. Lol Great Indian food but premium prices. Service was quick and attentive. Ambiance was fantastic. Very classy and cozy and subdued. Cheers! Happy eating!
