Everything about our experience--from the food to the service to the ambiance--was exceptional! A heartfelt thank you to Catherine for going above and beyond to accommodate us, to Patrick for checking in and engaging us in such friendly conversation, and to Angelica for being a truly attentive and gracious server. We had an amazing time and can't wait to return! read more

Nice ambiance, with a modern yet somewhat bohemian vibe. Staff is friendly and efficient, but service comes across as somewhat haphazard--reaching over my plate to light a candle, for example. Food is solid, with tonight's highlight being the Hamachi Crudo. Charred Octopus was also quite good (albeit a tad heavy on oil and sausage), as was the Watermelon Bowl. The Vermicelli Noodle Bowl with Shrimp was a bit of a miss...somehow a cold noodle bowl with warm, under seasoned shrimp was underwhelming. Desserts were quite good, as was the expresso. Pricing, by post Covid standards, is reasonable for what's offered. Net, net: good enough to visit again, but not at the top of our short list for "fine dining"--more of a hang out/meet friends/casual dining spot. read more

The first time we went here we enjoyed the food and had great service. I was so excited to bring my out of town guest here to my second time dining here. We were ushered to a room that was "first come first serve" to sit. We sat, ordered cocktails, appetizers and entrees ... we received the desert menu and were perusing when the host/ hostess showed up at our table and started screaming at us that we didn't have a reservation at this table. I have never been spoke to so rudely at a restaurant ... especially after spending hundreds of dollars there. We decided we lost our appetite for dessert and settled up. The waiter was mortified saying how sorry he was and that he can fix it and we can stay.... I emailed the management to alert them of this and received absolutely no acknowledgement or response after over 7 days so here I am. I will spend my money elsewhere ... I will not ever return. I will encourage others to not go here and support a business that treats customer this way. There are too many great options of places to eat and drink in the area... go elsewhere and you will be glad you did! Life is too short for obnoxious behavior in a hospitality business. read more

Twice the attitude half the talent. Food is overpriced for the quality they serve -- some of the items we ordered were overcooked, dry and were lacking in flavor. In retrospect, they should have been sent back. Our condescending and neglectful waiter took our order and was pretty much gone for the rest of the evening. I believed we crossed path with him on our way out. A cozy ambiance ruined by the poor quality of their dishes and a pretentious wait staff. read more

Food was really good and the service is very professional, considering how crowded this place can be. The venue itself is cool, one just need to figure what kind of dinner you want: busy, social, fun or quiet, intimate...picking the wrong table may end up being a forgettable experience. Again, there's a reason people line up to get to this place, it is just not for me. read more

Nomade is AMAZING AMAZING... AMAZING. This place just couldn't get any better. The food is an amazing blend of many cuisines making almost every eater feel right at home with one thing on the menu. It's also diverse in the same sense, so for the adventurous eater, you are going to be loving this menu! The waiters and waitresses are more than attentive, they are funny, kind, and making sure that absolutely EVERYONE is happy. The ambiance is next level. The oaky wood look and basket lighting is beautiful. The layout is just amazing allowing for you to choose a different type of setting to sit in for whatever mood you're feeling. Front of the restaurant, your pick of two bars, an outdoor area, and then the main restaurant, accompanied by a beautiful stone fireplace. I LOVE NOMADE. If you're thinking about going here... DO. IT. TONIGHT!!! read more

I went to Nomade recently and I must say , it was a delight !! The staff were extremely polite and professional. I had a rsvp and was seated promptly and service was excellent. The place filled up quickly, but everyone handed it with ease. I had multiple wait staff attending to my table. That seemed to be the norm there. Everyone helped each other. The food was excellent and the wine list although short had enough that you can find something to satisfy your palate. Not to mention a full bar. I look forward to returning for dinner or drinks. read more

Food, service, and ambiance was fantastic. We went there for lunch after shopping. I had the calamari fritte salad and my friend had the quiche. We weee both very happy with our meals. The ambiance is lovely. I will absolutely return for dinner. read more

The waiter showed up after about 15 minutes, (blamed others for not telling him he had a table?!). He took our drink and app order and then came back and put the specials menu in the table so we were unable to order any of the special apps. Never went over items that were unavailable so had to rethink order as he stood there. Terrible service from waiter. Zero personality and totally unprofessional. Approached table and was dissatisfied with his tip which should have been zero. Never in my life have I ever experienced such nerve! Manager clueless. Saw her talking to him before he approached. She acted appalled, but she surely was speaking to him about the tip as they stared at us while conversing! And he got 15%! Entitled! She also blamed the hostess about forgetting a special occasion that was supposed to be celebrated instead of taking responsibility. No one running ship. Completely disorganized place. Busers fine. Carlos rarely showed up at table. Pasta dishes flavorless. Will not return. Not quite sure how they make it with so many other amazing options! Save yourself some cash and go elsewhere! read more

Atmosphere and decor five stars. Service was fine. Escargot was good but not enough bread. Beef carpaccio was tasteless and barely dressed. Clam linguine was okay. Pannacotta which is a favorite of mine was overcooked there was a thick skin on the top and random over cooked clots in it with very tart berries in sugar syrup. The French gimlet was really the star of the meal with an interestingly simplistic gin flavor profile not very juniper-forward but a simple short neat clean to let the drink shine and not get muddled with too many competing flavors. I would probably come again, and just sit at the bar and order a few drinks and enjoy the decor. read more

Crispy rice was sooo good we got all the different options to share as appetizers! Great mocktail menu as well!

Amazing experience at Nomade Westport. Food was great and service was excellent. We had Escargot and Razor clam to start. My steak was cooked to my preference and my husband Halibut was great as well. The dessert was absolutely tasty. P The dining room and bar area are nicely decorated. Service and the atmosphere was great! Highly recommended! read more

Nômade Westport, CT Nômade in Westport is an upscale restaurant located on Main Street downtown. "Welcome to a place where dining, exploration and design come together to create the getaway around the corner" Nômade offers an eclectic, varied cuisine including dishes from North Africa, Santorini, Asia, Hungary, Spain, France and the Mediterranean. The interior is beautiful and the food is top notch, using the highest quality fresh ingredients. My personal favorites are the Wagyu Steak Frites and Lomo Saltado. Nômade is a wonderful addition to the Westport scene. It's perfect for a good social time with friends or an intimate date night with your significant other. I'm going to say this was more of a 3.5 experience today but I rounded up to a 4. The interior design of the place was very aesthetically pleasing which was what initially drew me in. I started off with a sangria and then we had shared appetizers of the fried Brie and the tuna on crispy rice. Those were the best part of my dining experience today IMO, very delicious. It took a while between getting appetizers and the entrees which I understood and felt bad that there was only one server for our whole outdoor area (maybe inside too not sure). My entree was the chopped salad with salmon which came with a mix of greens, rice, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, capers, olives. I was expecting a slab of salmon but instead it was just pieces of it throughout which I didn't feel like it was enough, maybe about a quarter of a palm sized. My entree was ok, overpriced, not something I would order again or recommend. If I were to come back, I would just focus on ordering drinks and apps. read more

Terrific new addition to the Westport dining scene!! Beautiful renewal and expansion of a spot that had gotten a a little dark and old. Interesting menu and wine list. Haddock delicious and duck a little mysterious. But we'll definitely be back again!! CWG read more

New, beautiful dining experience in Westport CT. Absolutely gorgeous restaurant and amazing food. The restaurant is located on Main Street, parking has always been easy for me as there is street parking and a lot. The decor is earth tones, with Tulum vibes. It's a spacious restaurant with an outdoor terrace, main dining room and when you walk in a lounge bar area. I've tried the escargot and octopus both were delicious. The pork shoulder is a big hit. The drinks are very good as well my favorite that the bartender Andres makes is with mezcal. The owner is very gracious and greets his patrons. If you are in the area or want a staycation date night definitely give Nomade a try you wont be disappointed. read more

I have been to Nomade many times and had many different experiences. it has a nice vibe and the service is generally good. The food has been hit or miss. I went today for brunch and got the shakshuka, which is a poached egg dish with spicy tomato sauce. The menu said it cam with a toasted baguette, which was what made me want to order it. I envisioned a nice piece of baguette cut length wise, toasted with butter to soak up the egg and sauce. What came with it instead was an untoasted piece of Baguette, cut into skinny oval slices. When the waitress finally came to see if we needed anything else, I mentioned that the menu said it came with a toasted baguett. She took the bread back and then 15 minutes later I get the same skinny slices very lightly toasted with no butter. The eggs were good and it would have been a good dish with a nice toasted and buttered hunk of baguette. This may seem minor, but it really ruined the whole experience. Details matter. if you say toasted on the menu, toast the baguette. read more

Finally a good restaurant in Westport. Great calamari and mussels. Friendly service. Attractive setting.

The ambiance is great. The drinks are middle of the road. The food is good. Not great but still good. I'll return.

Must try! I've been to Nomade a few times and never have been disappointed. The staff is all very friendly and the food is wonderful! It's an eclectic menu with something good for everyone. Came here for a date night last week. From the moment we walked in, it was a great experience. Absolutely love the decor and vibe of this restaurant. The staff were all so friendly. Service was on point. And the food? The food was absolutely DELICIOUS. We got the wagyu beef skewer for an appetizer that came with a delicious sauce. Then I got the stuffed cabbage as my entree (love that they have this on their menu! Not many places do) and it was some of the best if not the best stuffed cabbage I've ever had. My husband had the chicken pimientos and that also was delicious. Definitely will be back! Can't wait to try more of the menu read more

One of the best meals of my life! Energetic vibe, packed on a Friday night but service was on-point---attentive, quick with drink refills, clearing of plates/new plates & cutlery, and the manager/owner stops at every table multiple times throughout your meal. I would move to Westport just to eat here often. Must orders are: Hamachi on Crispy Rice, Pei Mussels (Spicy Merguez-Harissa-Cilantro Broth and the most delicious bread for dunking in the broth), Charred Octopus (Spicy Chorizo, Fingerling Potato), Lamb Merguez, Brandade. AND Coquilles St. Jacques which I never see on menus and it is one of my favorite dishes and Nomade's offering was superb. The hazelnut chocolate mousse was rich and perfect with an espresso. We did not have cocktails but the menu looks amazing---hope to visit the area again and imbibe in drinks. Hey NOMADE, thinking of a location in MD? Please! read more

We loved Nomade! It's such a gorgeous place and has many beautiful features including a painted brick fireplace, two bar areas, cozy tables, wood accents, decorative baskets, and lighting fixtures. I mean... it's just gorgeous all around. We did not have a reservation on a Saturday mid-afternoon and they were pretty busy but we were able to obtain a spot. We received our menus and placed drink orders relatively quickly. We received our drinks which were absolutely amazing and wonderfully crafted. After this, however, it took quite a while for our waiter to return and take our food order. This is my one complaint. It just took an unusual amount of time for him to return. We ordered an appetizer which was Hamachi on crispy rice- delicious!! Excellent, fresh hamachi, bright flavor, and loved the crispy rice accompaniment. I had a the signature Tavern chopped salad which was really good!! Loved the vegetable confit, sherry vinaigrette, and heartiness of the brown rice mixed in. My husband had a burger which he found to be delicious, prepared to his liking, juicy, and flavorful. Absolutely enjoyed our experience and will return for sure. read more

So good! We got so many appetizers (hummus platter, deviled eggs, steak skewers, beeT carpaccio) and they were all delicious. Each of us had a different meal (salmon, chicken, stuffed pepper) and loved them all. And the desserts... Omgoodness... so hard to decide what to get because this is the best dessert menu ever!!! The beignets, crepes, and apple tart special were out of this world. We will be back! The waiter was amazing as well , and the manager kept coming over to ensure everything was to our liking. Bad service all around. Kept asking for things and they would take forever to bring them and then bring the wrong thing. Had an ice cream cake that they said they would cut and by the time we got it back it was melted. 3/4 of everyone's drinks came wrong and we didn't even have utensils. Probably not coming back. read more

Patrick has done a fantastic job with the renovation to open the space and enhance the character. Even with the more open feel, there are still separate areas offering options for different occasions and atmosphere. The menu is also great and the unique handcrafted cocktails are excellent. Food is ordinary and overpriced. Large dining space is a plus but service sucks. First they lost our order, and then when we finally got our food, 4 people constantly hovered and asked us if we were done. We finally got exasperated and asked for the manager who never showed up. And did I mention that we were offered the worst table and we had to ask to get a nicer table. Maybe colored people are not welcome. read more

Came here for dinner while in CT and im SO glad we did! The food was amazing! We got the spicy tuna to start and it was pretty good! I ordered the steak and fries (mainly because i wanted fries) and it was delicious! If fries don't come with your meal, definitely order some. I got the froze (frozen rose) to start then a cocktail and they were both delicious. Great reviews all around on the food and drinks. The atmosphere was great, not too loud. The restaurant is surprisingly big with an indoor and outdoor area. The decorations were super cute I couldn't stop looking around. The bathroom was clean but in an interesting location since you walk past a waitress station where they fill up drinks. Parking was easy as there is street parking but im sure on a Saturday night it might be more difficult to find a spot. Next time i want to try the escargot and fried brie. I highly recommend this restaurant! read more

That was just the worst dining experience I have had in Westport. Moved here a while ago and was told to try this place out. The restaurant was half empty. We were two people and there was about 8 four person tables available. I asked to be seated at one. After giving us bad attitude and laughing at is she hesitantly said yes. Than the waiter comes and says we can't order appetizers first. We have to order everything at once or the kitchen won't bring us anymore food. WTH! Than the spicy tuna rice comes out. Dry, no sauce, and very fishy smell. The French onion soup was cold and the rest of the food lacked flavor. We were still hungry but because the waiter told us we couldn't order more we finished our meal at spotted horse (never disappoints) The ambience is nice and the restaurant is very cute. But that's about it. I would never go back. read more

Went for dinner last night and was massively disappointed. I walked in and the hostess wasn't there but plenty of staff/managers were just standing around looking at me but said nothing. The host eventually came back and greeted me and brought me to a table. The bus boy was extremely attentive and quickly brought water to the table. After about 10 minutes the waiter still hadn't come to the table so I asked the bus boy if I could order a drink. That was the common theme throughout the night. We consistently had to ask other staff members if they could find our waiter over the course of the 2 or 3 hours we were there. Unfortunately the food was the real bummer here though. We got the spicy tuna crispies which had no flavor at all. The hamachi crudo tasted good but it was 4 TINY pieces for $22.... that was a bit of a surprise. Then we had the grilled octopus. The octopus was cooked well but the dish lacked flavor. All I could taste was lemon juice. Then we got the duck fried rice. There were more mushrooms than rice and it again lacked flavor. Everything was just very bland and unimpressive for $100 a person. Then we had been waiting for the check for a bit so I grabbed my credit card and set it down. Without even asking or showing a bill the waiter tried to grab my card. It seemed very inappropriate to me. The cocktails also left something to be desired. I got the French gimlet which was overly sweet. My friend got a bourbon drink that tasted like they just poured bourbon and a ton of lemon juice in a glass. All in all for the price this was very disappointing. read more
