We've been here a few times and this time was not as overwhelmingly great as usual we did get different items. The mushroom toast is new and amazing! The scallop risotto was overly sweet. The tenderloin tips are good. The chocolate cake was nothing special. Overall will come again, but stick to our favorites such as the chicken sandwich and burger!

Met up with some friends here, so glad we did! Our server was sooo nice and fun. Food was good, hard to get full from a salad but this salad was huge! Also had a seasonal drink and it was delicious. Cool atmosphere too, and somehow they made (or were lucky) the acoustics so that you can hear your table really well and not other tables around you.

UPDATE - Was there again last night had another great meal, but the reason for this update is that its now OPEN on Mondays. I've reported this to Yelp but it has not been changed.

    Strip steak (perfectly cooked )

First time at Nomad Very nice interior, nice location. Hostess greeted me was very friendly. The manager was first to my table she was incredibly nice and informative. The server was helpful and also very friendly. Had a half wedge salad, was good slightly bitter but 8/10. Had the chef's special Strip steak served with roasted potatoes and creamed spinach. The Steak was perfectly cooked for me. It came covered with crispy Onions and blue cheese. 9/10 For dessert I had the Chocolate cake. Had great flavor not to dense 8/10. Only downside it did take just a little longer than I like to get the food but everything came out perfect. Overall had an really enjoyable time.

I absolutely love it here and this is one of my favorite restaurants in Columbus. The service is amazing and the drinks are divine. Perfect for date night or great place for the family you can't go wrong at Nomad. But it's the food that has me coming back so often. I can't say enough about it here!

Second time here . Had dinner with my daughter . I had the Moroccan couscous with tenderloin tips which were to done and dry . My daughter had the lomo Salgado . I think they may of been short of staff as once the food was served we never saw her again . We had to ask someone else for our check and the women who took care of it was very nice and we told her about the meat was over done and she comp both of our dinners and all we had to pay was for our wine . By her doing that I Will probably give it another try sometime .

The server was wonderful. She recommended the lamb with rice and vegetable kabob. First I had a house salad with an amazing blue cheese dressing followed by roasted Brussels Sprouts and Sweet Potatoes. Completed the meal with Key Lime pie. Very good!

I am part of a monthly group that visits different restaurants and basically orders all the tapas on the menu. This month we visited Nomad for their half off apps on Wednesday deal. It was a great experience. I started off by ordering the Manhattan. It was delicious! Probably why I ended up with a second. From there my group did our usual thing of ordering all the appetizers. Everything was delicious! I really enjoyed the mushroom toast, french fries and veggie tray! Our server, Claire, was also very friendly and attentive to our table. Was definitely a very nice experience!

We heard that they put the veggie board back in the rotation so we checked it out during happy hour. Nice deal 50% off on this day for apps so we ordered it, some chargrilled oysters and a burger. Veggie plate has shrunk plus they now charge additional for naan(it was included in the original veggie board). $4 for the naan and does it have gold in it? We received 4 quarter pieces of naan(see pic). Cmon man really? Oysters were good and the bison burger very tasty. This restaurant has a Josper and really is missing the boat not to highlight it. Additionally I think they are still reeling from when they did all food 50% off during happy hour. Quantities extremely small. The $4 Naan took me out. Sorry guys you really make me think if it's worth it to come back. I was a massive fan of when you got up and running. Too many changes to keep me.

Huge portions.. two prefix were too much for two adults. Even the kids meal was huge (and tasty). I'd come back from a kid meal of chicken and fries. Everything we had was great, loved the pork chop. Wedge salad was a bit eggy for my taste but again, it was a huge salad. Overall, spendy dinner, but had plenty to take home. Cool vibe, atmosphere and the service was excellent. Waitress was super friendly and offered great recommendations.

The reason I wanted to try this place was because of the mussels I saw on other reviews. Unfortunately, they had just changed their menu a few days before we came..so no mussels. Apparently they change their menus a few times a year we were told. Our reservation was at 6:30pm. So for apps we'd like to try the Cracked Conch..they were out..so we had the Charcoal Ratatouille which was decent and the Summer Crostini, that was good However it was forgotten so it came after our main dishes.. For mains we tried the Grilled Red Snapper (only 2 left so we had it saved while ordering our apps) it was okay though, not spectacular, then Lomo Saltado and Bone-in-Ribeye (my picky son enjoyed this steak, cooked to perfection) I'd still give them 4 stars even with some mishaps as we enjoyed most of the food overall, though there's always room for improvement.

Honestly this place was good but not incredible. Came in on a Saturday night it was pretty busy but we had a reservation. Our server took awhile to come to us and was a bit awkward but got the job done. I started with the harvest salad which was fresh and had plenty of dressing. However the dressing was super lemon-y/tart and the apple & pomegranate seeds weren't sweet enough to cut the tartness. The cod was tender and the clam chowder was decent but it needed a bit of salt & maybe a little heat honestly? My boyfriend got the burger and said he was unimpressed. Overall I'd give them another shot but I wouldn't be in a rush to come back.

Food and service were AWESOME. Our server took really good care of us and helped explain the menu since this was our first time. Portions were huge and tasty!

The staff made us feel right at home and were very attentive. Our server, Sammy was very sweet and fun! My favorite touch was their pre-printed birthday menus. They definitely know how to make someone feel special. We ordered a bottle for the table to pair with our tapas. We tried the churassco, wine braised chorizo, and ordered a paella de marisco. The tapas portions are enough to have as a meal or 2 to be really stuffed. The paella portions are huge and are enough to serve about 2-3 people. I was pleasantly surprised how good the paella turned out since moving from Miami I have been very skeptical of any Latin or seafood in Columbus (sorry...) but the flavors were delicious!! They also gave us a free dessert for my boyfriend's birthday and it was also sooo delicious. I would definitely return, especially after finding out about their happy hour. It's a great little spot for a date or a celebration of any kind but make sure to let them know ahead of time so they can make your night special.

A casual drop-in while exploring Barcelona turned into a full experience thanks to Independent Restaurant Weeks--and not just a few days... weeks. Now that's how you support your local restaurant scene. We happened upon a spot participating in the $45 prix-fixe menu, and without hesitation, we were in. Since we lean pescatarian/vegetarian, we navigated the menu accordingly--and honestly, the options held their own. First Course Options Included: * Gazpacho (chilled tomato, cucumber, olive oil) * Ensalada César with aged manchego and guajillo crouton * Sopa de Ajo (garlic soup with jamón, egg, saffron) Second Course Highlights: * Paella de Barcelona (classic mix with seafood and meats) * Paella Roja (beetroot sofrito, beans, cauliflower, fenugreek yogurt) * Salmon with leeks, olive tapenade, asparagus, mushrooms, crème fraîche * Chuleta (pork chop with a full composed plate) Dessert Options: * Tres Leches de Fresa (strawberry three milks cake) * Johnson's seasonal sorbet or ice cream * Plato de Quesos with figs, lavender honey, and rosemary crostini We opted for the pescatarian and veggie-friendly selections, and the standout for me was the Paella Roja--a creative, earthy twist that didn't feel like a compromise. Balanced, flavorful, and thoughtful. The structure of the meal was clean, no substitutions (respect), and paced in a way that let you actually enjoy each course without feeling rushed. YE Gurl says: Stumbling into Restaurant Week while traveling is a win every time--but Barcelona doing it for multiple weeks? Even better. It's a reminder that some of the best culinary experiences happen when you stay open, go local, and let the city surprise you.

Anyways, Arnold Palmer was very bitter. Whatever you have in mind for deviled eggs is not what you will need tasting when you try these. It had an odd smell and tasted under seasoned. Would not order again. The wontons I give a 3/5. Not my favorite. The mushrooms weren't over powering but still interesting. This could have also used more seasoning. Outer layer was crispy. If you don't like sauces, ask for your sauce on the side because they pour it on your wontons for you. The empanadas seasoned well. Stuffed well too. Would order again. Then we ordered the flank steak medium. We received well done and it took more than 15+ minutes for the waitress to come to our table to check on us in order for us to send it back to get medium. Other than that, plantains were cooked well, the rice and beans were good. Presentation was beautiful. The restaurant was not busy at all. There were many empty tables and seats at the bar. Music isn't too loud to have conversations. Considering how much I spent on these meals and drinks, I would not return again.

It didn't taste like anything other than just olive to me. The green olive was fine I'd give it a 4 then brown olives are not for me I'd give that a 3.5. I don't like olives so this isn't saying much 2. Burger super crispy edges with nicely charred edges. The beef is juicy with low seasoning but a nice meaty flavor. Cheddars adds a nice sharpness. Relies on the sweetness on the onion and the flavor from the arugula. The bun is subtle sweet and soft along with the sweetness of the tomato jam although I wish there was more. I'd recommend 7.5 3. Fingerling potatoes are soft inside with a nice salty tone but are under seasoning. Once you break the skin it is just potato taste. I'd recommend. 5.5 4. Wagyu tri tip is tender and juicy. The seasoning is subtle but flavorful. The fat adds a richness. I'd recommend 7. Broccolini is well seasoned but chewy not my favorite. I would recommend. 6. The ricotta pomme potato is smooth and creamy. Slightly grainy texture. I'd recommend 7.5. The sauce is too watery and doesn't add much beyond a very subtle flavor. Meat potato mix was really good. 5. Oatmeal cream pie cookie has soft and chewy oatmeal cookies. The house made cream is smooth and creamy while being light and airy. Sweet but not over done all around. Flavor is overall very nice. I'd highly recommend 9 ended up getting two

Service actually has improved; if you've come to this restaurant before you know that every plate is made fresh and that the dishes come out one at a time and not all at once. While my dishes came out separate as usual, the timing between dishes to table has drastically improved! When looking up this restaurant on line the cost for meals is listed as $ out of $$$$, however IMO it should be $$ or $$$. These two dishes and one drink (Chicha Morada) cost me $39.59 (3% charge for using credit card) Restrooms are...well they need improvement to say the least. My recent birthday…read moredinner at Sidebar Columbus fell squarely -- and triumphantly -- into the latter category. From the moment we arrived, the service set the tone for what would become an unforgettable dining experience. Our server, Lacey delivered hospitality with the kind of effortless grace that can't be taught. She anticipated needs before they were spoken, guided us through the menu with confidence, and maintained a warmth that made our table feel like the only one in the room. Wine & Cocktails: A Study in Balance and Craft The wine selection was superb -- thoughtfully curated, expressive, and perfectly paired with the richness of the evening's dishes. The cocktails were equally impressive, crafted with precision and a clear respect for balance. Each sip felt intentional, layered, and celebratory. The Paella: A Showstopper But the true star of the night was the paella -- a dish so masterfully executed it deserves its own ovation. The rice was tender yet structured, infused with deep saffron warmth and kissed with just enough socarrat to make any purist smile. The seafood was impeccably fresh, each component cooked to its ideal texture. It was the kind of paella that silences a table, not out of politeness, but out of reverence. When the chef personally came out to greet us, it only reinforced what the dish had already made clear: this is a kitchen led by someone who cooks with both technique and heart. A Birthday Elevated My husband orchestrated the evening beautifully, and Sidebar rose to meet the moment with finesse. Our guests were genuinely impressed -- not just by the food, but by the seamless choreography of service, ambiance, and attention to detail. It felt less like a dinner and more like a curated celebration Final Thoughts Sidebar Columbus delivers the rare combination of exceptional cuisine, polished service, and heartfelt hospitality. The paella alone is worth crossing the city for, but the entire experience -- from Laceys attentive care to the chef's personal touch -- transforms a simple night out into something memorable. For anyone seeking a dining experience that feels both elevated and warmly personal, Sidebar stands confidently at the top.

Great food and awesome service from the staff in the bar. My Old Fashioned hit the spot. The Spicy Potatoes are amazing, as is the Caprese Salad and Grilled Chicken Jalapeno pizza. Tip: they have resumed Tapas Tuesdays and it will be great if I can make it there.
