We've been here a few times and this time was not as overwhelmingly great as usual we did get different items. The mushroom toast is new and amazing! The scallop risotto was overly sweet. The tenderloin tips are good. The chocolate cake was nothing special. Overall will come again, but stick to our favorites such as the chicken sandwich and burger!

We came here for a dinner after work upon a coworker's recommendation and we are blown away with the ambiance and the food. Our waitress was so friendly! Definitely chill vibes and great for a date night. I would come back again. I like that they have seasonal options as well :) Great cocktails too! I only wish I had room in my belly for dessert.

Met up with some friends here, so glad we did! Our server was sooo nice and fun. Food was good, hard to get full from a salad but this salad was huge! Also had a seasonal drink and it was delicious. Cool atmosphere too, and somehow they made (or were lucky) the acoustics so that you can hear your table really well and not other tables around you.

UPDATE - Was there again last night had another great meal, but the reason for this update is that its now OPEN on Mondays. I've reported this to Yelp but it has not been changed.

I absolutely love it here and this is one of my favorite restaurants in Columbus. The service is amazing and the drinks are divine. Perfect for date night or great place for the family you can't go wrong at Nomad. But it's the food that has me coming back so often. I can't say enough about it here!

Strip steak (perfectly cooked )

First time at Nomad Very nice interior, nice location. Hostess greeted me was very friendly. The manager was first to my table she was incredibly nice and informative. The server was helpful and also very friendly. Had a half wedge salad, was good slightly bitter but 8/10. Had the chef's special Strip steak served with roasted potatoes and creamed spinach. The Steak was perfectly cooked for me. It came covered with crispy Onions and blue cheese. 9/10 For dessert I had the Chocolate cake. Had great flavor not to dense 8/10. Only downside it did take just a little longer than I like to get the food but everything came out perfect. Overall had an really enjoyable time.

Second time here . Had dinner with my daughter . I had the Moroccan couscous with tenderloin tips which were to done and dry . My daughter had the lomo Salgado . I think they may of been short of staff as once the food was served we never saw her again . We had to ask someone else for our check and the women who took care of it was very nice and we told her about the meat was over done and she comp both of our dinners and all we had to pay was for our wine . By her doing that I Will probably give it another try sometime .

I am part of a monthly group that visits different restaurants and basically orders all the tapas on the menu. This month we visited Nomad for their half off apps on Wednesday deal. It was a great experience. I started off by ordering the Manhattan. It was delicious! Probably why I ended up with a second. From there my group did our usual thing of ordering all the appetizers. Everything was delicious! I really enjoyed the mushroom toast, french fries and veggie tray! Our server, Claire, was also very friendly and attentive to our table. Was definitely a very nice experience!

Crispy Brussels Sprouts, sweet potatoes, pomegranate seeds and blue cheese dressing.

The server was wonderful. She recommended the lamb with rice and vegetable kabob. First I had a house salad with an amazing blue cheese dressing followed by roasted Brussels Sprouts and Sweet Potatoes. Completed the meal with Key Lime pie. Very good!

We heard that they put the veggie board back in the rotation so we checked it out during happy hour. Nice deal 50% off on this day for apps so we ordered it, some chargrilled oysters and a burger. Veggie plate has shrunk plus they now charge additional for naan(it was included in the original veggie board). $4 for the naan and does it have gold in it? We received 4 quarter pieces of naan(see pic). Cmon man really? Oysters were good and the bison burger very tasty. This restaurant has a Josper and really is missing the boat not to highlight it. Additionally I think they are still reeling from when they did all food 50% off during happy hour. Quantities extremely small. The $4 Naan took me out. Sorry guys you really make me think if it's worth it to come back. I was a massive fan of when you got up and running. Too many changes to keep me.

Pork chops

Huge portions.. two prefix were too much for two adults. Even the kids meal was huge (and tasty). I'd come back from a kid meal of chicken and fries. Everything we had was great, loved the pork chop. Wedge salad was a bit eggy for my taste but again, it was a huge salad. Overall, spendy dinner, but had plenty to take home. Cool vibe, atmosphere and the service was excellent. Waitress was super friendly and offered great recommendations.

Grilled Red Snapper

The reason I wanted to try this place was because of the mussels I saw on other reviews. Unfortunately, they had just changed their menu a few days before we came..so no mussels. Apparently they change their menus a few times a year we were told. Our reservation was at 6:30pm. So for apps we'd like to try the Cracked Conch..they were out..so we had the Charcoal Ratatouille which was decent and the Summer Crostini, that was good However it was forgotten so it came after our main dishes.. For mains we tried the Grilled Red Snapper (only 2 left so we had it saved while ordering our apps) it was okay though, not spectacular, then Lomo Saltado and Bone-in-Ribeye (my picky son enjoyed this steak, cooked to perfection) I'd still give them 4 stars even with some mishaps as we enjoyed most of the food overall, though there's always room for improvement.

Cod

Honestly this place was good but not incredible. Came in on a Saturday night it was pretty busy but we had a reservation. Our server took awhile to come to us and was a bit awkward but got the job done. I started with the harvest salad which was fresh and had plenty of dressing. However the dressing was super lemon-y/tart and the apple & pomegranate seeds weren't sweet enough to cut the tartness. The cod was tender and the clam chowder was decent but it needed a bit of salt & maybe a little heat honestly? My boyfriend got the burger and said he was unimpressed. Overall I'd give them another shot but I wouldn't be in a rush to come back.

We did have to wait a bit to be seated but were thankfully at a nice table in the corner so our large party could be comfortable and private. I do recall the table or a chair being rickety and a waiter immediately assisting to make sure it would stop shifting which was amazing. We ordered a ton of tapas to share (6-7) to share amongst 6 people - all the dishes I tried were fantastic. My favorite was surprisingly the patatas - they were nice and crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and were very flavorful. I also enjoy meat quite a bit so the braised short rib and steak were great too. Highly recommend also getting the pan - the sauce was addicting! Overall, I would love to come back if I'm in the area again. The atmosphere, service, food - everything suited me and my party perfectly.

The potatoes weren't cooked right, the asparagus dish was lackluster, the clams were pretty decent but didn't come with enough bread, and the steak dish was drowning in an unnecessary amount of sauce. There was a bit of a snafu at the beginning, where the fire alarm was going off when we arrived. We had to go back down 8 flights of stairs and come back up for our reservation when we could come back in (which was as soon as we got to the bottom). It was fine for us, but I can see 8 flights being a challenge for a lot of people. Otherwise, the ambiance was lovely and the view was great. My only major gripe was the service. Our server didn't check on us very often, and we had to ask for the dessert menu when we heard last call was coming up. I'm chalking up the service mishap to an odd evening with the fire alarm. Definitely would love to come back and try it again!

When the server--"Yana"--approached us, I grew less optimistic that all was well. I ordered a martini. When I asked if they have blue cheese olives, she told me "they cost extra." I thought she was joking, but she was not. (I learned when the bill came that my small martini cost 21 bucks. When I told the server at one point that I've never seen a martini in a cordial glass before, she informed me with some attitude, "It's still three ounces." I confirmed that I wasn't challenging her, but simply commenting on the non-traditional glass. Later, I ordered a diet coke. "We have Boylan's" she told me. "If it's a diet cola, that will be fine." When she brought it, she twisted the lid, poured most of the soda in my glass and took the bottle away with the remaining soda. I called her back after I'd taken a sip and said, "This tastes like rootbeer." Again with what seemed like attitude, she showed me the bottle and told me "it says diet cola." The server interrupted us at our table multiple times, reached over us to serve us, and took away plates we were still using. It felt less like fine dining "service" and more like what you would expect at a church dinner. The server was abrupt and seemed disinterested in trying curate a positive experience. The food, to be clear, was quite good, but that was the extent of the success for the evening. The menu prices would make sense if the service was above reproach, but it was NOT excellent service. Had the place been packed out, it might have made more sense that the service was compromised, but we actually commented on how light the attendance seemed to be for a Saturday evening. My hope is that the management might consider more staff training (or adjust their "fine dining" prices to match the service.)

I think they are doing something unique in Columbus and I am happy to see them as busy as ever. I will say, the menu is eclectic and some of the dishes are more successful than others. On a recent visit, we loved the bacon wrapped dates, the charred green beans, the croquettes, and mixed greens salad. The birria tacos were fine, but not amazing. There are some great birria tacos in this city and they did not compare. The spicy chocolate martini was a perfect finish to the meal. Very spicy, very chocolatey, and not overly sweet.

Hubs ordered the lunch chicken bowl with rice, black beans, grilled chicken and corn. The corn was served refrigerator cold. The rest of the meal was hot. Overall the food lacked seasoning. I started with a cheese empanada. Expertly made and fried with goody cheese inside. The empanada was served with a dmall side of green sauce that I thought was cilantro based. I ordered the lunch Pabellon Bowl with pork, white rice, black beans and a sweet plaintain Everything on my plate was served hot but also without seasoning making it bland. I used the empanada sauce to add some flavor to the pork and rice. In summary, I wanted to love this restaurant the advrtised images on 2 TVs are gorgeous but the food was bland. The projection TV volume made conversation difficult and service could have been more attentive. This was our first expusure to Venezuelan food and probably our last. I still stand by the fantastic empanada. I would return for that alone.

They were alright as fried shrimp but no spice. The shrimp sauce was essentially mayonnaise. And again lukewarm at best. The two different sandwiches we had were both well stuffed. The sides are what won the show for me. Those plantains were amazing. Crispy, gooey, and not too sweet, just a great dish all on its own. The rice was also flavorful without being too strong. The chicken was good but a little dry. It was great with the aji verde though and I wish I had asked for more sauce haha live and learn! Service actually has improved; if you've come to this restaurant before you know that every plate is made fresh and that the dishes come out one at a time and not all at once. While my dishes came out separate as usual, the timing between dishes to table has drastically improved! From the moment we arrived, the service set the tone for what would become an unforgettable dining experience. Our server, Lacey delivered hospitality with the kind of effortless grace that can't be taught. She anticipated needs before they were spoken, guided us through the menu with confidence, and maintained a warmth that made our table feel like the only one in the room. Wine & Cocktails: A Study in Balance and Craft The wine selection was superb -- thoughtfully curated, expressive, and perfectly paired with the richness of the evening's dishes. The cocktails were equally impressive, crafted with precision and a clear respect for balance. Each sip felt intentional, layered, and celebratory. The Paella: A Showstopper But the true star of the night was the paella -- a dish so masterfully executed it deserves its own ovation. The rice was tender yet structured, infused with deep saffron warmth and kissed with just enough socarrat to make any purist smile. The seafood was impeccably fresh, each component cooked to its ideal texture. It was the kind of paella that silences a table, not out of politeness, but out of reverence. When the chef personally came out to greet us, it only reinforced what the dish had already made clear: this is a kitchen led by someone who cooks with both technique and heart. A Birthday Elevated My husband orchestrated the evening beautifully, and Sidebar rose to meet the moment with finesse.
