We arrived and promptly seated. A nice drink menu. I opted for the bourbon menu and there plenty of choices. As an appetizer, we split the flaming saganaki. Reservations recommended. We didn't have reservations but were able to be seated right away. They have a large bar area and tables to eat at. The decorations are beautiful. We ordered the aioli fries as an appetizer, the crab po boy sandwich, and the harissa chicken bowl. Everything was delicious. All the meals coming out to nearby tables looked amazing. I wanted to try all of it. Our server was nice ans attentive. She checked on us throughout the meal. She noticed it was my birthday and offered us a free dessert. We ordered the chocolate cake. Met up with some friends here, so glad we did! Our server was sooo nice and fun. Food was good, hard to get full from a salad but this salad was huge! Also had a seasonal drink and it was delicious. First time at Nomad Very nice interior, nice location. Hostess greeted me was very friendly. The manager was first to my table she was incredibly nice and informative. The server was helpful and also very friendly. Had a half wedge salad, was good slightly bitter but 8/10. Had the chef's special Strip steak served with roasted potatoes and creamed spinach. The Steak was perfectly cooked for me. It came covered with crispy Onions and blue cheese. 9/10 For dessert I had the Chocolate cake. Had great flavor not to dense 8/10. Second time here . Had dinner with my daughter . I had the Moroccan couscous with tenderloin tips which were to done and dry . My daughter had the lomo Salgado . I think they may of been short of staff as once the food was served we never saw her again . We had to ask someone else for our check and the women who took care of it was very nice and we told her about the meat was over done and she comp both of our dinners and all we had to pay was for our wine . Nomad. A Spanish, Chicken shop. They have great burgers that are juicy and wonderful and you are welcome (and smart) to get yourself one. It's categorized as a chicken shop. I've never had the chicken and probably won't. In the limited visits I have left, I won't get there. Their very best starter would be beer steamed mussels. Followed by the Japanese Shrimp and the Brussels Sprouts. The reason I won't get to the chicken? Well, I've already had the ribeye which is brilliant! The Zarzuela it's a Spanish stew that is monster great! The couscous is the best in Ohio. Next I'm getting the Salmon or the Lamb Ragu. I would love to try the Etouffee, but I doubt it'll happen. It was a great experience. I started off by ordering the Manhattan. It was delicious! Probably why I ended up with a second. From there my group did our usual thing of ordering all the appetizers. First time visit and very impressed. Ordered Phantom Flame cocktail (habanero infused tequila, mescaline, and some pineapple "juice". I was warned it was spicy and it was perfect for me. Started with a Beet and Goat Cheese salad. Loved the dressing and everything added to it. Ordered pork chop with bourbon soaked pears on top of andouille grits. The Josper oven charred the outside evenly and was a great dish. Had another Phantom Flame instead of dessert. Sat at the bar. We heard that they put the veggie board back in the rotation so we checked it out during happy hour. Nice deal 50% off on this day for apps so we ordered it, some chargrilled oysters and a burger. Veggie plate has shrunk plus they now charge additional for naan(it was included in the original veggie board). $4 for the naan and does it have gold in it? We received 4 quarter pieces of naan(see pic). Cmon man really? Oysters were good and the bison burger very tasty. This restaurant has a Josper and really is missing the boat not to highlight it. Very cool, trendy spot with an eclectic menu. Service was fast and friendly. Noise levels are moderate when the restaurant is full. I sat at the bar for this visit, and I ordered the bison burger, which was delicious. I would have given it five stars if the bacon wasn't so thick and chewy. (It's too bad Yelp doesn't offer a 4.5). The burger came with a side salad which was also really tasty. Prices are a little steep here - canned beers range between 8 and 9 dollars and I couldn't see any cocktails for under 15. There are only about 5 canned beers to choose from - nothing on tap. They do have great happy hour specials - different from day to day. A couple of other dishes on the menu caught my eye, one being the crawfish fettuccine with andouille sausage. I'd definitely make a return trip to try it out. read more

The reason I wanted to try this place was because of the mussels I saw on other reviews. Unfortunately, they had just changed their menu a few days before we came..so no mussels. Apparently they change their menus a few times a year we were told. Our reservation was at 6:30pm. So for apps we'd like to try the Cracked Conch..they were out..so we had the Charcoal Ratatouille which was decent and the Summer Crostini, that was good However it was forgotten so it came after our main dishes.. Honestly this place was good but not incredible. Came in on a Saturday night it was pretty busy but we had a reservation. Our server took awhile to come to us and was a bit awkward but got the job done. I started with the harvest salad which was fresh and had plenty of dressing. However the dressing was super lemon-y/tart and the apple & pomegranate seeds weren't sweet enough to cut the tartness. The cod was tender and the clam chowder was decent but it needed a bit of salt & maybe a little heat honestly? My boyfriend got the burger and said he was unimpressed. Nomad is undeniably charming, with a beautifully designed space and an awesome patio setup. One of the best features was the roll-up glass wall -- it was open during our visit, which made sitting indoors feel like we were still enjoying the outdoors. A lovely touch! That said, they had the AC blasting to compensate, and unfortunately, I was seated directly under a vent. By the end of the meal, I was freezing -- and I wasn't the only one at the table who felt uncomfortably cold. The overall vibe was also very loud. We found ourselves straining to hear our waitress, though she was excellent: friendly, knowledgeable, and even gave us some interesting background on their oven and how it added something special to their cooking process. Visually, everything was impressive -- from the plating to the beautiful ceramic dishes. But the food itself didn't quite live up to the presentation. I ordered the steak tips, which had good flavor but were quite fatty and oddly paired with both rice and fries -- a bit of a starch overload. My partner's burger was supposed to be medium but arrived well done and dry. His mother got the chicken sandwich, which she said was good overall, but the jalapeño sauce was so spicy it crossed into unpleasant territory (thankfully she ordered it on the side). The drinks were another low point. The mixed drink ordered by my partner's mother tasted more like bourbon on the rocks than a balanced cocktail -- incredibly strong. My partner's cocktail was overly tart and not enjoyable. The one highlight was dessert: a flourless s'mores cake that was genuinely delicious and beautifully executed. It was the only part of the meal that felt special. Overall, while Nomad nails the aesthetic and has some thoughtful service touches, the food and drinks didn't deliver. Nomad had been one of our standard favorites but we had a very disappointing experience most recently. We ordered a salad to split to start but our entrees came out before the salad and the salad was right behind it and all within 2 minutes of ordering. No apology from our server and no option to change the timing. So we had a table crammed with food and of course you want to eat the hot items first. My fried chicken sandwich was supposed to have a chipotle aioli on it but I couldn't find it anywhere and it needed it. I asked our server and she said sometimes it disappears into the bun (not in my case) and she would bring me some on the side. That helped the sandwich but I wouldn't get it again and...she charged me for the "extra sauce" without telling me and I'm convinced I didn't have any in the first place. That's so petty. My fries were very good and I usually don't like the think cut, skin on fries. My son's grilled cheese was very good. My wife had the Moroccan couscous and she liked it and would order it again. So we will go back based on the unique menu and our previous experiences but I was very frustrated with our most recent experience. read more

My first time at Nomad, and it was pretty good for the most part. Nice ambiance, outstanding service (shout to Sloan who was super friendly and helpful), and some good food. For appetizers we shared the Aioli flight, crispy Brussels, and Japanese shrimp. I thought all of the appetizers were strong. The Brussels came with sweet potatoes which worked very well, they were crispy but a little on the burnt side (which the chef needs to be careful about). The shrimp was interesting. A sweetish sauce -- I liked it but not everyone's favorite. And the aioli flight came with fries (excellent). The main courses were a different matter. I was very disappointed with the Osso Buco (meat was tough and lacked flavor). The duck was not bad but not great either. I personally liked the flavor of the lomo (Peruvian steak) although it was a bit chewy. Overall, a good experience. I look forward to returning. read more

Great food, great vibe, and great value! Nomad has a summer happy hour special that gives half off of their entire menu! I recommend a reservation, because the space is small and it fills up fast, including their plant filled outdoor patio. We were a pretty good sized group, and tried a lot of items, that we all enjoyed. The grilled veggie platter was an overall favorite, with lots of veggies, a yogurt dip, and a red pepper dip, along with piles of veggies and some warm pita. I enjoyed the crab hush puppies, though mine could have been crispier. I also had the Green Goddess salad, and the strawberries were a great touch! There were a lot of other entrees around the table, and everybody had something positive to say. My friend had the steak entree. I can say I am not disappointed, our server Lauren was outstanding and the whole experience was better because of her. The ambiance is comfy and quite formal but not to the point that you have to be wearing a tuxedo. Wow! This place was some of the best food I have had in a really long time. I went there with a few friends for a night out! It was such a refreshing atmosphere. I ordered the Mediterranean couscous and added shrimp. The shrimp I had to send back but it wasn't a big deal at all. Due to my dish being slightly undercooked , they brought out free dessert and that was very kind. My friends got the bison burger and another order of couscous with added chicken. Nomad is so so good!! The food baked in the special Josper over definitely lives up to the hype. Their cocktail list has the most unique drinks and the best wine. I started off a "French Press" cocktail, which full of floral flavors and a just strong enough to taste the smoky mezcal. I love it! We also started off with the Aioli Flight, which was served with truffle fries. The fries by themselves were crispy, hot and delicious. Each of the aioli dips were amazing. My favorite was the habanero aioli, it had a great flavor and spice to it. For my entree, I got the baked chicken, and it was incredible. I love the charred taste it has from the oven. The pork chop was also perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I will say, the portions of the entrees are pretty large, so can definitely be shared. We were too full for dessert, but I am dying to come back and try more food, desserts and cocktails! read more

My wife and I have been to Nomad a few times and haven't been disappointed once. The food is always well-prepared, and every server we've encountered there has taken great care of us. The staff truly seem to enjoy working there. (And for the uninitiated, many of the dishes are cooked in a cool charcoal oven called a Josper. This imparts a delicious smoky flavor and char to the food.) When we decided to book seats for Mother's Day this year (and introduce my in-laws to Nomad at the same time), I wondered whether the service or food would lack at all. I shouldn't have worried. When my FIL ordered coffee with his dinner, our server went out of her way to find a hot cup for him (even though it took replacing his original coffee twice in the first five minutes with progressively hotter and fresher cups). And the food was as good as ever. We ordered a variety of dishes including the coq a vin, the Josper shepherd's pie, the salmon beurre rouge, and the aglio y olio del mare. Every single one was cooked to perfection. The shellfish weren't overdone, the stewed lamb shoulder was tender and delicious, and the fried smashed potatoes in the salmon dish were crispy and perfectly spicy. Pro tip: if they have the grilled vegetable platter, make sure you get it for the table. It's made up of fresh local vegetables, seared in the oven, and served with a compound butter and a romesco sauce. read more

I've been meaning to try Nomad for awhile now after driving past it a few times, so I was really excited when my friend asked me to meet here tonight for dinner! I loved the vibes when I walked in, with the dim mood lighting and cozy wooden tables and booths. I'm sure Nomad is great all year-round, but I felt it was especially cozy during the fall/winter months. Everything on the menu looked amazing and I had a hard time choosing. I love that they do seasonal menus here - we actually happened to come on the first day of the fall 2023 menu. Our waitress was fantastic. She was extremely knowledgeable and you can tell that this is a place where the staff really knows their own product. She gave great recommendations. I ended up going with the salmon. It was tender, flavorful and delicious, and actually quite a big portion, so I took lots of leftovers home. My favorite part of the dish might have ended up being the roasted vegetables that were included on my plate. They tasted so fresh! We ended the evening with the white chocolate peppermint angel food cake, which was delicious, but we were disappointed as to no actual white chocolate icing on the cake, I guess it was cooked into the angel food cake and was served with very little whipping cream. Tried this restaurant before an outing to Top Golf (just down the street!). The restaurant has a modern, industrial style. We got a booth which was cozy for our party of 5. The menu is a bit eclectic, I'm not sure how to describe the style of food here. They have a little bit of everything. We ordered some apps, their aoli flight and the spoon bread. Both were pretty good but also pricy for what you get. The aolis were so interesting, these was a lemony one that was delicious. The main meals were the Korean Fried Chicken and the Venison Osso Buco. The Fried Chicken was very spicy but ours came out with a lot of the spicy sauce on top. If you end up ordering it, I recommend getting the sauce on the side so you can control the spice level. Without the spicy sauce the fried chicken has some heat, but it's manageable. The venison was unexpected, but absolutely delicious. The venison was cooked perfectly and it was a very well balanced meal. It reminded me more of lean beef and wasn't quite as gamey as venison I have had in the past. The serving size was large and could easily have feed 2 people, especially if you order an appetizer. Not sure if I would come back because it was pretty pricy but the food was good and so was the service! read more

She explained the history behind the restaurant since it was my first time. The fries Flight were good, and I enjoyed the variety of the sauces. The white sauce was my favorite but it was spicy. I love anything "flight". The Japanese shrimp was surprisingly good. It's on a bed of eggs, and on a hot plate. All the flavors of the dish paired well together. Gotta try this new concept and unique dining location. *Make Reservation as it is very small. Located in a strip center on the north side of Polaris just east of I-71. They warn you up front when making a reservation, but they have a fast turnaround for dinner service (45-75 mins max). It is something to consider if you come with a larger party. The place is super clean and modern with plenty of parking as well. Nomad has a unique menu and from a very unique oven that provides great options and twists. Ask them about it when you come in. We have stopped in a few times and this time started with Naan with Goat Cheese appetizer. This time we split a Pear and Goat cheese salad and enjoyed their delicious Crispy Chicken Sandwich and Cheesesteak sandwich. Both recommended. We sat at the bar and Jeremy was a great server. In town for work I was able to visit Nomad with local co-workers. We had a reservation and were tucked into a high top table near the front door. Usually this short girl struggles with a high top seat but the seat was comfortable and I had a place to put my feet. The restaurant was small-ish but does offer bar seating. We loved the pops of orange and modern vibe. I started with a refreshing glass of rose and ordered the flatbread. The crust was crispy with balsamic drizzle, arugula, prosciutto and gobs of delish cheese. The prosciutto was cut in cubes and plentiful but very salty. If I had this again I'd ask for less or for it to be left off. (My vegetarian co-worker did this and ate the entire flatbread!) The star of the show was a lemon curd cheesecake. It was delicious and unique, also very sweet so you might consider sharing. We experienced fantastic service at Nomad. Our server was upbeat, helpful and attentive.
