Will get right to the point -- pizza is lousy, subpar. Basically on the same level as pizza you'd find in a gas station or made in a High School cafeteria. Bland & flavorless. Boring, uninspiring & amateurish. And a rip-off, considering they charged me a quality pizza price. I have not had any food here in over 3 years, as last food order was awful, so for some reason I decided to order a veggie grinder tonight, as they have been great in the past. When I picked it up they told me it was 16.05!!!! When I asked why so much as it was as 13.95 on the menu, she told me the O&V was an additional $1.00!!!! Which was absolutely insane, hopefully the grinder would be the reward, however the bread was soft and not toasted, however I will say the veggies were nicely sautéed. I would rate the grinder a 3 (at the MOST). I was very much hopeful that Nolis had improved, but unfortunately it has not! I will not be back!!! read more

Ordered a large pizza with meatball and peppers for delivery. Received the pizza and we were not impressed at all. The toppings were sparse to say the least, the crust was dry and of a cardboard texture and the whole pizza was dry. We stopped ordering from here years ago for similar issues. When they are good they are very good! Last night everything we ordered was wonderful! Great dinner tonight - started on the outdoor deck but came in as it hit buggy and the atmosphere is welcoming and classy. Shrimp cocktail was served in a tall glass and was ice cold and fresh with tangy cocktail sauce. Cheese ravioli with side of meatballs. Yum!! We asked fir extra marinara and it was the perfect touch. The 1 star is reflective of there delivery service and not there food. We have ordered numerous times for delivery and each and every time there delivery time is off by 30-40 minutes. I am currently still waiting for a delivery that was ordered 1hour and 45minutes ago and still no food in sight. We we told 45-60 minutes. I love small businesses but they really need to get a handle on their delivery services or don't bother at all. read more

Plates the big enough to feed half the town!!!! Sooo amazing, i had the chicken piccatta! It really was amazing, all entres come with salad and pasta! Recently added full bar! WOOT!!!!! Good effort, but really super super super salty food. So salty that I am up at 4:00 am writing this while drinking gallons of water. The salt in chicken dish almost gave me a heart attack. I arrived with my cousin early and there was another table with four people and just us. I overheard that the people couldn't get the drinks they wanted. One of them said he waited all week for a good drink and they didn't have the right stuff to make it. The waitress made him something else but he didn't get his first choice. The flavor of my chicken tasted like it came from a smelly rancid refrigerator. So I couldn't finish it or take it home. I didn't have the heart to tell the waitress, who was trying her very best to please us. And she did a great job making suggestions. I heard someone else complain her Chicken Florentine was so salty they couldn't finish it either. So much potential for a local riverside restaurant. With changes and more arts happening in Winsted, this place might not survive the demand for better quality and a new trendy vibe like Sassos or Hanqs or Foxtails. My pasta sauce was good, but the pasta broke and fell apart. Whether overcooked or not boiled properly, or re-boiled, if you cannot cook pasta at an Italian restaurant you might consider fixing that issue, stat. They need a bartender, and to get out of the 80s with their menu. Better knowledge of drinks and wines is also important. If you're not training your staff on the latest drink trends and the names of wines, you will fail. You always have to be leery of an Italian place that spells Cavatelli wrong on their menu. "Cavitelli" can't even be found in Google. It doesn't exist. Something is not right with the way the food tastes. I hope they read this, I was going to post 2 Stars, but their affable and accommodating waitress saved them. read more

If I could give them 0 I would. They where terrible about a year ago gave them another shot they did good for about 6 months. Now they're right back to where they were. Ordered 2 chicken tender meals that come with fries get home and there is no fries. No biggy they must have forgot call down there and the lady tells me ok we will get u a side of fries I'm like no that would be 2 sides we ordered 2 meals. Her response is oh.... A friend and I just had a wonderful lunch at Noli's restaurant on their patio deck. It was absolutely positively delicious! I had shrimp scampi with linguini, and it had a ton of large shrimp, and I brought the other half home for supper. But knowing it was there, it didn't make it to supper time! THAT'S how good it was. I am sorry to say that there is a high level of inconsistency here...I have eaten in..taken away...ordered delivery and it is hit and miss. 50% of the time the food is ok, 50% of the time there is an issue...undercooked, extremely slow delivery, rude wait staff. If the goal of the business is to have their guest shrug their shoulders and exclaim the "mediocre is ok with me", then they have met their goal! They have a beautiful interior and great porch...but it is always empty??? Tonight I ordered online at 5:30 pm and received a confirmation that my order was received. The online confirmation stated delivery would be 630-645...ok. Called at 5:42 to Notify that I forgot to add tip to online order and requested a tip be added (25%...I'm a good tipper). At 655 I called to ask where my order was (note that it was now 1 hour25 minutes since I ordered from a restaurant that is 4.5 minutes away...and I this is a rural area) ? The person who answered the phone said " oh it will be a few minutes "hun", we only have 1 driver tonight". Finally at 7:07pm....1:37 from when I ordered...let me remind you that I'm 4.5 minutes away (1.17 miles away) and my food finally arrived. The driver was extremely nice and said " I have 5 orders here to get out and our other driver decided to take the week off" ( nice guy and I couldn't be mean to him), but really....This is not my issue...this is NOT the first time this has happened. Noli's has not met my reasonable expectations or delivered (no pun intended) on what they promise, and I am not asking for them to pay off my house, I would appreciate a "were sorry, how can we make it better?". Instead, I am dismissed, not offered a solution, and left with a hole in my wallet and disappointment in my tummy. read more

Have been here a few times and the service leaves a lot to be desired. Last time I went was about 4 years ago. Me and my good friend Ray decided to go there before our movie. He really enjoys the place so I gave it a try again. We have 2 plus hours till the movie starts certainly they can have the food to us by then. We got there and after a little while later they got out drink order and then we ordered. An hour and a half plenty of time to eat and still get to the movie. Well we waited and waited and waited finally after an hour we just left. I can't believe they could not get the food to us sooner. They also did not apologize or even acknowledge our situation. We went to subway instead and went straight from there to the movies. The food is not bad and take out is ok. But I will never go back to this place due not only to this experience but every time I go the service is ugghhh. read more

About the slowest ever called a order in second time now calling for a large pizza and garlic knots and being told 30 mins always get here around 45 minutes after call first time it took a hr and 45 min from the time I called and the second time was told 35 minutes and I got there after an hour and I still waited 25 minutes both times not one customer in the restraunt read more

In my opinion this is the best pizza in Winsted. My boyfriend and I went there for dinner and decided to try some other things out since all we usually order is a pizza to go. He got spaghetti with vodka sauce and I got a veggie grinder. He said his was really really good and it was a huge portion. My grinder was really good too! I only have 4 stars just because they need to work on their customer service. Everyone seems to be in such a bad mood every time I go in there. read more

I am without a doubt forever grateful for this place! I was on the phone with my little brother listening to the stories of his life and how hard he's been working in the snow. Both of us are thousands of miles away from family, friends, and what we know. Me in Cali, he in Connecticut, our family in Florida. After I got off the phone I wanted to surprise him with a hot meal delivered to his door. I chose Noli's. I ordered on Yelp eat 24 all the way from California. In his order I purchased potato skins, soup, Caesar salad, and the New York strip steak dinner. I called to confirm and told them what I was doing. The person who answered the phone was so happy and friendly. The service that I received from 3k miles away was impeccable. When it arrived to my brother's door he was surprised, he didn't even think it was for him. He was so happy that he was crying saying thank you so much. I just want to say thank you so much for being apart of my surprise to my little brother CJ and making his day and my dream surprise come true. We stopped here for a late lunch on the way to our daughters house. Very clean and neat environment. Friendly waitress. Excellent food! We ordered mild wings which were very tasty, I ordered the small antipasta salad with a homemade vinaigrette dressing-for a small salad it was rather large, our daughter ordered cheese pizza that was the best tasting homemade pizza I've had in a long time, my husband ordered chicken tortellini soup, and an entree with chicken broccoli and cavatelli pasta that was amazing! If you expect food to get delivered quick??? This is not your place. Evidently they think the longer you wait for your food, the hungrier you will get and the better it will taste??? Not so. 30 minute delivery time turned into 1 hour and a half. Make sure to calculate your bill ahead of time as well, the charge you think usually is considerably higher when delivered. Gordon Ramsey would have a field day with this place. I recently went for lunch with a friend and sat outside which was quite nice with a view of the river. We decided just to share some appetizers. The potato skins were inedible...hard as rocks and burned to the point there was no potato in them. They definitely were frozen and not prepared freshly. We then had mozzarella sticks that were again frozen and had no taste. We also had a side of garlic bread with dipping marinara. The bread was not even toasted with limp mozzarella broiled on top. While we were there, there were only 2 other tables dining. Both of them sent back their food as well for a variety of reasons. (including a hamburger that obviously had been frozen). I felt very sorry for the waitress who was apologetic and had to deal with the stress of poor food preparation. This place needs to get its act together or close their doors. However, locals have told me that the pizza is pretty good. Maybe stick with that as at least it will not have been frozen. read more

Got lunch today Calzone and Philly cheese steak. Calzone was flat A/F. Sauce was liquid wouldn't even stick to the breading. Absolutely horrible, so they were ok with replacing it. So I went and got the new and improved Calzone. Looked alot better so I head back to the house to eat my now cold lunch from my first trip down there. To find a Philly cheese steak with meat that smelled rancid and tasted old. Just got the same order last week in the evening and it was totally different food . Today it was not great whatsoever not by a long shot. Not one bit, Not close didn't even squeak by as ok food. So needless to say that the food ended up in the garbage no lie. Money wasted, didn't want to ask for a refund. Mostly due to the fact that the staff was extremely rude when we called to complain about our pancake for a Calzone. Is there anything lower than a single star????? For real though.. Horrible Food. :( read more

This is definitely one of my favorite local restaurants. I've only gotten delivery, I've never sat in the restaurant, but the people taking orders always know what they're doing and are very friendly. The gourmet pies are great, the grinders are great, but the wings? Oh man, are the wings good. They're big, meaty wings, they're always tasty, and if you are a Heat person you can order them Extra Extra hot, and actually get truly hot wings. They're also very flavorful. Combine this with the fact that they deliver (it isn't always fast, but I think people's expectations on delivery speed are always way too high) and you've got Noli's. Really good food, friendly people and delivery in Winsted/Colebrook. What more could you ask for? read more

Pretty bad customer service, when they get the order wrong they'll blame you. And as an added bonus you may find chicken bones in orders that don't have chicken like the bruschetta. There are much better places to order from where they actually care about customers. read more
