Suli's team were able to complete this large project all before we had family visit during the holidays. It's truly a blessing to know and work with this small family business, especially Maka and his team, they did such an amazing job! You can tell he takes pride in his work. Our condo has some pretty strict requirements such as putting them under Hy's insurance policy and getting everything approved. Josh helped us with the process, and got our condo on their policy quickly. After we signed with them, we did a walk through of our condo, they were very detailed in asking questions to understand what we wanted and were super helpful and patient with our many questions lol. They got rid of our all our popcorn ceiling, carpet, installed vinyl plank for our entire condo, as well as change out our bathroom vanities & mirrors, and made shelves for our bathrooms. It turned out even better than I expected honestly! Afterwards I remember looking up at our ceiling and feeling grateful of how smooth and well done it is and the vinyl planks were done beautifully. Everything was really meticulously done even down to the quarter rounds that line the edges of our flooring. Mr. He and his partner did most of the work, he was very communicative, professional and even did many little extra things for us around the house that my husband thought of later like installing shower/tower rods so everything matched, at a very reasonable price, he even painted our door for free! I honestly am so grateful for him, he's such a nice guy. They got everything done in timely manner too! Since we were trying to move in ASAP, as my son was gona be born in 2 months. We love how updated our place looks now compared to before and I'm so grateful to HY Construction and their quality work! Few months later our garbage disposal went out, and it wasn't an easy plug-in one to reinstall. They did that for us at a very reasonable price as well. We're honestly so thankful for Hy's and we've been recommending them to many friends since our renovation! Mahalo nui Josh & Mr He!!

I needed a quick repair and cleanup. Aki was right there when called for a quote. He came the next day. His quote was most reasonable and was for a super strong build. When we accepted his proposal, he and his crew went to work right away. The wall came out beautiful, straight and was built with lots of rebar and filled with concrete in every cell. Aki even fixed a broken portion of the foundation, by building a beautiful rock wall foundation and layering the top with CMU. They cleaned everything up before leaving. I want to recommend Vea's Masonry to anyone that wants a beautiful and strong result. Also their quote is very reasonable. It's also been a joy to work with them. Friendly and honest people. He patiently answered all my questions, then met with us to go over options. We appreciated his experience and familiarity with old-style single family houses like ours (60 years old). He listened to our needs, wants and available budget. We decided on a "middle" option with full solid acrylic pan (since we did not want another broken prefab floor) and cultured marble walls. He referred us to Naka's Marble whose staff was very friendly and helpful in choosing marble type/color. They worked directly with Mason on our custom floor and walls. Mason kept in constant contact with us regarding his work schedule (and of his subs). He was accommodating, flexible and also good to thinking out of the box. I requested a custom shower niche, so he guided me in designing one which was also fabricated by Naka's Marble. Mason was very clear and upfront about his fees, and warned us way in advance that there would be some extra fees along the way due to things that come up with old houses (like rotted wood, plumbing fixes, etc). MK's prices were very competitive compared to other companies (we had also spoken to two other companies prior) but decided on MK after meeting with Mason. Every part of our renovation process went well. Mason has a wealth of knowledge and seems to have many strong contacts in the industry. He worked super hard to give us our dream bathroom; was patient with us as we were not always decisive at times; and constantly kept professional decorum with friendly local vibes.
