I contracted with Kepu in May 2025 to pour and finish a stained, stamped, and sealed concrete driveway, along with the installation of two aluminum gates and fencing. On the last day of the pour, he pressured me to pay the entire final balance upfront--including the gates and fencing--so he could "pay his workers." Against my better judgment, I trusted him. That was a huge mistake. Here's what happened: Substandard Workmanship: Most driveways are poured at 4" thick. Mine was poured at only 2". Reinforcing wire pushed up through the concrete in several places (I have photos). Kepu made several failed attempts to repair it. When I demanded the bad sections be repoured, he began ghosting me and dodging calls. Flaky, Unreliable, and Dishonest: Weeks went by with endless excuses for not showing up. His own vendors even contacted me directly, complaining he wasn't returning equipment he had rented for my job. Only after I threatened to file a RICO complaint with the State of Hawaii did he return--half-heartedly--to reseal the concrete. Poor Final Results: The seal job looks terrible. The color is uneven, large white sandy patches are visible from too much non-slip additive, and there are permanent bucket marks left behind where he rested containers on the wet surface. Unfinished Work & Missing Money: Three months later, Kepu has not installed the gates and fencing. He does not answer phone calls, texts, or emails. After I demanded proof of my gate/fence order, he admitted he canceled it. I told him to refund the money. But never followed through. At this point, he has my money and I have nothing to show for it. I have filed a formal RICO complaint with the State of Hawaii, and I am now preparing to seek legal help to recover damages and the funds I paid him in good faith. If you value your time, money, and sanity, avoid Nohealani Masonry at all costs. I wish I had seen a review like this before I made the mistake of hiring them.

From the first site visit to the final walkthrough, everything was seamless. William managed this project very well and guided us through this process with ease. At any point if we had questions he was quick to respond. The showroom they have is great and the experience of setting your preferences on design and materials is quite enjoyable. The only hiccup we encountered is that the supplier of the original tile that had been selected did not come in the size we needed and so it wouldn't have meshed well with the current tile in the living room. William helped us find a suitable alternative and we were able to pivot and are very pleased with the outcome. There were a couple of adjustments during the project but again related to the tile, we changed the direction of the placement which allows for us to replace the remaining tile in the house in the future if we decided to do so. William and team thinking ahead with our needs in mind really provided a sense of care. To top it all off, we wanted this build done ASAP and the team was able to complete the remodel in 8 days compared to their estimate of 10 - 14. I contacted a few companies and received various quotes, some of which required me to travel to various showrooms to select materials which as a first time home renovator, seemed overwhelming. However, when I was contacted by William, he informed me he had previously done renovations in my building and was very familiar with how the management office worked, water shut off, elevator reservations, etc. MY Construction's showroom had all materials/samples in one place where I could put everything together and get a visual idea; he also had tons of photos of examples on his phone to show me. Can't say enough amazing things about William and his crew, not only did he keep me updated daily, but he also handled so many of the nuance tasks on his own, making sure I wasn't distracted at work or taking on any unnecessary stress during the project. This is our first condo, we started by…read moreinterviewing several contractors, and they were by far the most reasonably priced, communicative and came recommended by our realtor's clients. Our condo has some pretty strict requirements such as putting them under Hy's insurance policy and getting everything approved. Josh helped us with the process, and got our condo on their policy quickly. After we signed with them, we did a walk through of our condo, they were very detailed in asking questions to understand what we wanted and were super helpful and patient with our many questions lol. They got rid of our all our popcorn ceiling, carpet, installed vinyl plank for our entire condo, as well as change out our bathroom vanities & mirrors, and made shelves for our bathrooms. It turned out even better than I expected honestly! Afterwards I remember looking up at our ceiling and feeling grateful of how smooth and well done it is and the vinyl planks were done beautifully. Everything was really meticulously done even down to the quarter rounds that line the edges of our flooring. Mr. He and his partner did most of the work, he was very communicative, professional and even did many little extra things for us around the house that my husband thought of later like installing shower/tower rods so everything matched, at a very reasonable price, he even painted our door for free! I honestly am so grateful for him, he's such a nice guy. They got everything done in timely manner too! Since we were trying to move in ASAP, as my son was gona be born in 2 months. We love how updated our place looks now compared to before and I'm so grateful to HY Construction and their quality work!
