For years I have been getting my Chinese takeout every weekend at their competitor across the street. Due to COVID-19 the ONLY option for Chinese was No 1 Chinese and I figured I would give it a try. I always figured the competition was better because they were always so busy and it wasn't just a hole-in-the-wall like No 1 Chinese. I was so wrong! Not only is the price so much better, but the food is some of the best Chinese I have had in years (and I am not just saying that because COVID made me forget). The owners are working so incredibly hard to get food out to people and are following proper safety protocol to keep things sanitary. I will say that people need to show a little more respect. Follow their signs and don't waste their time or the time of every other customer by thinking you are so special you don't have to follow the rules. Oh, and don't try calling in your order because they are not answering phones. Simply go to their website and make it easy for everyone and order online. If you wait to go in to place your order you will be given a menu to circle what you want and then you will be waiting a very long time. Lastly, be kind and give a tip when ordering online or in the restaurant. This family is killing it for their customers and you should pay it forward. read more

Made a take out order last week, the food was horrible, over cooked, oily and greasy. The only thing that was good was the fried rice..

This is a bare bones Chinese restaurant, a few tables and a handful of chairs, but clearly the intent is primarily take-out. The employee seemed nice enough, at least not rude. The important thing about any restaurant is the food, though, and that's why I can't recommend this over Ocean Palace just down the road. The house special won ton soup was something different, and ultimately the only thing I enjoyed. The "crab rangoons" are anything but. There's no crab, only sweet cream cheese. They're also not rangoons, which are pinched top dough purses. Pedantic difference maybe. The mei fun was just as bland as it looks. Bottom line: save yourself the frustration, go down the street and get good food. read more

If you order online do NOT expect them to follow directions. Ordered the szechuan chicken with chicken lo mien combo NO MUSHROOMS!!!! and even gave them a 25% tip. They added the mushrooms. 0/10 will not waste my money again. read more

Wow.... totally disappointed. So wanted to like it but Egg Foo Young was awful along with boring fried rice. Probably the worst fried rice I have ever had. My son who loves Chinese food but we can't back after that experience. Pleasant young lady who took the order and at the counter when we went to pick it up but besides pretty good BBQ ribs that were part of the PuPu platter, the rest of the food was bad. I come back biweekly and order about the same thing everytime: sometimes I change it up, however they always get it right and I am glad to be their customer. If this is your first time here, I strongly recommend the cheese steak roll and bonless spare ribs. They are both my favorites. No.1 Chinese if you like food poisoning. I got the boneless ribs and broccoli and beef. I've never had my stomach in so much pain and so much gas. I was sick with cold and hot sweats and the gas was absolutely horrible. The beef butt bombs that were exploding out of my rear end were painful and the smell was wretched. My wife literally left the house for the night and stayed at her sister's house. The gas lasted close to 20 hours. My bathroom literally smelt like beef butt bombs for close to 4 days it was horrific. read more

I've officially (and quite accidentally) found my new favorite Chinese takeout joint in the Brooklyn/Killingly area. I've been craving Chinese for weeks, but unfortunately, everything has been closed due to the pandemic. Since many places are advertising as being "take out only" but are actually closed, I just about fainted in shock hearing that someone actually picked up the phone. While there are a few Chinese joints closer, I will keep coming back here, as in humble opinion, it is five times better than the Chinese places in Killingly, so I will drive the extra the minutes. Not sure I would have tried it regularly, but am SO glad I did. My wonton soup was delicious and not overly greasy at all and the filling and noodle were both excellent. I had shrimp and broccoli and my portion size was perfect - exactly what I would expect it to be, and for exactly the price I would expect it to be. Good sauce and a good ratio of shrimp to broccoli. I also have to say - I enjoyed their egg roll. I normally do not care for egg rolls. There is one other Chinese place that I will eat the egg roll from, because in general they just don't do it for me, but I will gladly eat the egg roll from here. My husband was a fan of the Kung Bo chicken as well. Pleasant experience for us both, and we will most certainly be returning. read more

These guys were one of the only Chinese restaurants open right now. They definitely didn't disappoint. They only had two people working in there at the moment but they were pumping rather good food out in a timely manner. The food was flavorful and well cooked. I haven't ever tired this place before and I'm happy to say that I am pleasantly surprised with them. I would recommend them. They're a strong competitor either the other place up the road. Eating in, it's a few simple tables ...self service for canned drinks. the food itself...well, that was disappointing as well,,,the General Tso was overcooked, with a thick sauce poured over it in an attempt to make it edible. Only place open Christmas eve night! I was craving Chinese and it hit the spot! the meals were big for a good price and it tasted great!

Stopped in last night for the first time. We were really surprised with the quality of the food. The crab Rangoon's had a nice sweet taste. The shrimp lo mein was delicious as well. Overall I would say the quality was very good. read more

The place is just not as good as the other chinese places. The food is lousy. Sometimes they even burn the chicken or beef.

The best item is the steak and cheese egg rolls, although they are greasy. Fried rice is just plain and somewhat flavorless. Not even ok average chinese food. Chinese food in this area is very poor. Overall food is greasy. Nothing seems original or homemade. Nothing special. read more

Crab Rangoons were sweet. Beef teriyaki good size and flavorful. Teriyaki flavor different from norm but not bad. I cannot really say the food was great or lousy. Lets just say average. Prices normal. Pretty much take out. read more

DONT GO HERE! I used to order from here all the time because of the cheap price until one day I went to pick up my food and needed to use the restroom but someone was in there, it was the cook! He had taken a huge shat, didn't wash his hands because the sink was dry and it smelled horrible. After all that they insisted I pay even after he handled my food with bare poop hands.
