Good food and they give you plenty of it. The spring rolls are fantastic. We have only done take out but definitely give it a try!

I got the spicy ramen and my partner got the chicken non spicy one, please refer to pics as I forgot the name... highly recommend getting the chicken ramen, the broth is light and savory, additionally lots of protein and veggies to make it the perfect ramen bowl. The spicy ramen was okay, I love spice but this one was a bit starchy as if too much starch was used to thicken the broth. The noodles were also way too soft; and there's very little protein. I got beansprout as an add on and that was $2; a bit much if added onto the bowl.

Our food arrived fairly quickly as well. All of the staff are very friendly & attentive. The space is cool, very relaxing & open. As for the food, it was very, very SALTY. The mussels were good but once you reach the bottom of the bowl it was salty. The flavor of the wings were good but also salty. The ramen was also extremely salty as well so it seems like everything they make here is just overall on the salty side. If they just lessened every dish on that part, it would be perfect. But especially the ramen was very hard to eat without drinking 5 cups of water. The shirley temple was delicious tho! Food is 3/5 but service is a 5/5. So I will say the service definitely saved the rating from 3 stars.

I ordered the steak and scallops I received three scallops and small pieces of steak and enough rice for two dinners. My wife ordered the steak and shrimp she also received three small shrimp and a few small pieces of beef. Food is always awesome, service is always good, chefs are always awesome. The problem I have is they charge an 18% tip charge to your check automatically. They do not come out and tell you this, they just rubber stamp it on the bottom of your receipt. This is almost unreadable unless you know it is there. The lighting is very low so it is close to impossible to notice. We paid an additional 18% not realizing they had already done this. We paid close to an $80 tip!!!! We love this place, but this is like some sort of robbery adding a charge without telling us in person. If you're not doing something underhanded then be honest and up front with your customers. Don't put a faded rubber stamp on the bottom of a receipt in a dimly lit restaurant. Check your receipt people! This is a scam that needs to stop! We are extremely disappointed. Please realize we have absolutely NO complaints with the food or service, we just don't like when an establishment takes total advantage of its customers financially. We pay a pretty hefty price for the food and service at these places! The tip is our choice, NOT YOURS!

Sawa had a decent Yelp rating (and was essentially the only place we could walk to), so we decided to give it a try. It has a large bar, traditional table seating and Hibachi steakhouse style seating, it's a fairly large place. It also projects a traditional Japanese Steakhouse vibe. Since we were dining at an off time, there was only one other patron in view. They have an expansive Asian menu and we ordered: Salmon Dinner - 5pcs of salmon sushi & spicy salmon roll (with salad) Asian Fried Rice with Chicken Scallion Pancake Gyoza -Japanese pan fried pork dumpling 2 Green Tea Total with Tip: $78 How expansive is the menu? If you search for Salmon on their online menu, you get 47 hits! Service was good, then again we were essentially on our own. The Salmon was good, not the best I've ever had, but tasty. The Fried Rice was also tasty, but very salty. The Scallion Pancakes were crispy and nicely cooked, we really liked these. And the Gyoza was very tasty, but should have been crisper. Overall, a very enjoyable "Linner" and a 4-star dining experience. I would return here if in the area.

Low lighting inside but it fit the vibe well. I got the Hibachi Lunch w/Chicken. Presentation was good and the chicken was well cooked. My friends got General Tso's Chicken and Beef Teriyaki which they said was made to perfection (not pictured).

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, cozy, and inviting--perfectly fitting for Newport but with a unique charm that really sets it apart. The food? Absolutely outstanding. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. You can tell there's real attention to detail in both the ingredients and presentation. It's the kind of menu where you want to come back just to try everything. What truly made the experience exceptional, though, was the service. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care that we had a great experience--not rushed, not forced, just natural and welcoming. The fact that we came back a second day says it all. If you're in Newport and looking for a place that delivers on both food and experience, Mountain Moose is an absolute must. Can't wait to come back again!

The chicken satay with peanut sauce was excellent...generously sized chicken skewers with very tasty slight sweet peanut sauce. The Crab Rangoon was also excellent. My friend is more of fan of these than I am and didn't plan on eating more than one, but these were so flavorful and crispy...maybe the best crab Rangoon I've had. The Vietnamese Boon with beef lemongrass was great! I loved that the beef was cut into small pieces/shreds. The beef had so much flavor there was almost no need to add the sweet/sour sauce to the noodles. The sweet/sour sauce was excellent too. I would have liked a bit more cilantro on the boon, but that 's my personal preference. I can't comment on the decor/ambiance because my friend went in to get the take out order. The street it is located on is very small/narrow so I had to stay in the car in case I needed to move it (since I was blocking the street). The pick up was so quick I didn't need to move the car.

Today I tried the crab rangoons and combination pho, with a hot tea. The inside is spacious and the booth was comfortable. The menu has a lot of options, though the African section is small and loaded with spicy peppers, thus out of reach for someone who has reflux or can't handle spicy. The service is friendly, though be prepared to need to notify them you desire something. My rangoons initially came out crispy but cold. After sending them back I received much more brown ones in return. I struggle to say they're crab rangoons, but what they definitely are are pouches of flavor. The sweet cream cheese and the carrots get offset by flavorful spices, so each bite is exciting to eat. No need for the sauce, they're sweet enough without. The pho broth was unctuous, not salty or heavy or thin. Real care went into the making of that dish. I can say I was confused by the bone in beef shank, and I got not the ingredients on the menu. I got everything from the seafood (fish ball, shrimp, and cut squid), sliced chicken breast, sliced round, and a beef bone. I'm not complaining, I enjoy variety, but it also wasn't what was listed. Overall, I want to come back and try more. The reviews of the hot pot sound like that's a good choice, and there's plenty else too.
