Went to Golden Palace on a Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised to be seated right away. We started with the tofu congee with beef and scallions, and it was absolutely delicious--thick, warm, and comforting. A perfect way to start the meal. For mains, we ordered the Sichuan fish stew and the black bean tripe, and both were outstanding. The portions were very generous, and the flavors really delivered. The fish stew had the perfect level of spice, and the tripe was incredibly well-seasoned and cooked just right. On top of the great food, the service was amazing--attentive and efficient without being overbearing. Overall, a fantastic experience and definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.

Greaaaaaaaaaaaaat Food ...as Tony the Tiger would say!!!! Greaaaaaaaaaaat Location near the Casino Greaaaaaaaaaaaaaat Faaaaaasssssst flipin service!!! I mean 5 mins delivered to the table for 4 dishes... and the ambience so cool and clean old Chinese school for sure such a great Asian vibe!! I will eat here every time I visit!! We order kung pow chicken and barbecue pork, fried rice, eggrolls, and Mongolian beef and chicken fried rice. All of them were all amazing with old Cantonese style flavors. Absolutely delicious. There are not too many restaurants left like this in the United States and this owner being a business for 40 years at the same location. It Is for a reason his doors are still open as the place was packed on a Tuesday night. Cheers !!!

There's a lot of Chinese delivery places in the area, but few that you can sit down and enjoy a meal. It's a treat when we're able to get out here, order up some dim sum, and then just enjoy a darn good meal. There's quite a selection of dim sum to choose from and it's hard to choose which ones to order. However, you won't go wrong with any of your selections. Worth a stop, and probably tastier and better priced than anything you'll find in Mohegan.

WhenI went to Foxwoods casino, I always stop by to eat chicken feet and beef porridge. I love the steamed chicken feet with soy sauce and the pickled chicken feet, which are delicious when eaten with beef tripe.

I'm from NYC and this place has authentic Cantonese food that can't compare to NYC area restaurants. Every dish ordered was fresh and spot on with the wok hei! For dessert, must have the dan taats!

We had tickets to a show at Mohegan and we're staying overnight at a nearby hotel so we checked out area restaurants ,we have eaten at the casino enough, and saw that Golden Palace had many positive reviews. We looked at the menu online and we were excited to try the delicious sounding food. The restaurant looks well cared for and fairly modern. After we were seated our waitress came over with a bowl of crispy wonton wrappers with hot mustard and duck sauce in little bowls. The waitress seemed harried and had to return to bring us water. We looked at the menu but my wife had her heart set on dim sum. When it was time to order we found out dim sum ends before 5pm. My wife then chose steamed dumplings and Kung pow chicken, I went with roast pork and shrimp egg rolls and garlic chicken and we were splitting a side of vegetable fried rice. We were enjoying the wonton wrappers until the first layer was gone, underneath were greasy old ones. We noticed our waitress was running around the dining room and seemed overwhelmed. Our appetizers arrived and initially looked great. My egg rolls were not greasy and were stuffed full and wife's dumplings were good sized and had a tasty dipping sauce on the side. After trying both aps, however, looks were a bit deceiving. My egg rolls were stuffed full but were Luke warm and soft..not at all crispy. The dumpling wrappers were very thick and a bit gummy but the filling was delicious until my wife bit into something like grizzel. Our waitress hadn't come back until our entrees were ready. We could have used refills on water. My garlic chicken consisted of giant chunks of green peppers with a few pieces of other vegetables and a generous amount of sliced white meat chicken. The sauce was thick and tasted of nothing but salt. It was like taking a bite of a salt lick. My wife's Kung pow chicken had the same giant chunks of green pepper along with whole peanuts and chicken slices. Her sauce lacked the spicy kick that a Kung pow dish is known for. It also tasted mostly of salt, severely in fact. The vegetable fried rice had a minimum amount of veg, mostly consisting of what appeared to be canned products. The waitress finally refilled our waters which we promptly finished off. We then waited 20 minutes for the bill. We were growing short on time so I tracked her down and asked for the bill. We paid and left the rest of the food. It wasn't leftover worthy. Next time we are in the area for a show we will give Golden Palace a pass.

First time at the dim sum restaurant in the middle of nowhere. I bet they get alot of visitors when visiting Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods. Prices wasn't too bad at all. Similarly to NYC. The food is freshly made daily and everything we order was delicious. Staff are very friendly. Its family owned the place for over 30 years. Definitely highly recommend when visiting Uncasville, CT.

Not bad dim sum for my first time Girlfriend really wanted me to try a true dim sum experience. One where they go around with a cart and you grab n go. Not too many places in CT offer dim sum, and this came up as one of the best. So we made the trek to give them a try. The location is nice. It's close to the casino but not too close. Inside and outside are well decorated and there's no mistaking this place from any side. The staff were not very hospitable. They were very much in rush mode so any semblance of kindness were out the window. It was very much, "here's your sheet" then left you at the cashier for you to figure out your own seating arrangement. We managed to find a place to sit, then began to go through the list. My girlfriend was a little bummed out that they didn't do the carts anymore, but we checked off what we wanted and waited for the items to arrive. First off, the plates were pretty big. The portions were plentiful, way more than we thought we would get for the price paid. We had to sample everything and a lot went to waste sadly. For me, the best bite was the duck egg bao. Was rich, creamy, sweet, and runny. The warm bao bun was the pillowly egg yolk delivery vessel, and it was messy but in the best way. The chicken wings were also well cooked and fairly large. They didn't have much flavor, but they were good wings. The rest? We ordered a lot but whatever item you got pretty much blended together. Most of the items ordered had this pork and shrimp mix, and it pretty much tasted like that too. The only difference being the wrapper. Overall, not bad. Some tasty bites but lots of similar items

What an amazing canto spot and what's even better is that it's 8 mins away from Mohegan sun. There was no host for a while when we entered, we were kind of lost without any guidance. We helped ourselves and just walked straight to the back and a waiter finally spotted us and sat us down. We came on a Monday so sadly because the sushi chef was not in, there was no sushi for the day. Everything we ordered was yum and the price was good too. For $100, a party of 6 and a baby, we got to try every thing and we were so satisfied. The best dish was the pineapple buns, I still yearn for those to this day. Their baked roast pork bun was good too. I definitely want to visit soon, hopefully will make my friend drive to Mohegan sun so I can enjoy this restaurant again. So much more worth it to eat here than eat at Mohegan. I need those pineapple buns...... addicted!!! CANT WAIT

I could eat this every single day! Ambiance is nice. Clean restaurant. I can't wait to go back!

Sidewalks were torn up but the place is hard to find with lack of signage. We were able to get seated right away, and looked through their digital menu. We got a smattering of dishes, wontons and dumplings, a sandwich and a ramen. Food came out in a reasonable wait time. We took pics and dug in. The 7 flavor dumpling was the star of the show. Light and thin dumpling wrapper, savory sweet sauce, plenty of filling. The pork dumplings were good, but the wrapper was thicker and denser. The twice cooked pork sandwich was pretty tasty, the pork needed to be more present compared to the veggies, but appreciated the crisp of the bread. The ramen had a good amount of braised beef and noodles. The broth needed a little doctoring to coax out some of the more savory notes. Broth needed more aggressive seasoning though. The price was not too bad for the area. It's kind of like dim sum, where you get a small plate for the price but it's all shareable and the flavors are good. It's not very well lit, gave the place a very dark air about it. But as a restaurant, it's pretty good. There's a lot of great places in that area, and this one's a good option if you're looking for small plates.

I wish they had a more seamless system for handling this (in an app or taking phone numbers instead). We ordered lots of dishes to share.. pineapple buns with roast pork, the viral crab rangoon scallion pancake, soup dumplings, rice rolls with ribs, etc. The standout for me was definitely the crab rangoon scallion pancakes. I 100% get the hype! It's ooey and gooey and perfect for any crab rangoon lover. I was however pretty disappointed in the pineapple buns (one of my favorite dishes) and soup dumplings, which honestly just tasted like they were frozen and reheated from the grocery store. The service was also very absent and it took awhile for us to wave someone down so we could pay our bill. Not sure if we visited on an off day or something, but I wasn't very impressed.

Sapporo Premium Beer is Japan's oldest beer brand, founded in Hokkaido in 1876 by brewer Seibei Nakagawa. Known for a crisp, refined taste with a clean, dry finish, it is a pilsner-style lager (roughly 4.7-5.2% ABV) frequently packaged in iconic silver cans. It pairs well with Japanese food and is known for its high-quality ingredients and brewing standards. It was founded in 1876 during Japan's Meiji-era modernization in Hokkaido, it is the nation's first and oldest beer. The world headquarters of Sapporo Breweries is in Ebisu, Shibuya, Tokyo, and it also operates a renowned museum in Sapporo. As for taste, it's a golden-colored, light-to-medium-bodied lager with mild bitterness, a subtle sweet malt aroma, and a sharp finish.. While technically a Japanese beer, many cans sold in the U.S. are brewed in places like Escondido, California, and Richmond, Virginia, Key products include Sapporo Premium Lager, Sapporo Black, and Yebisu. This is THE beer to have with this cuisine (Chengdu or Szechuan). This is good! It's ice cold too! For our appetizers, we are having the Steamed Vegetable Dumplings and Spicy Flavored Jelly Noodles which are dressed in scallions, ginger, garlic, celery and cilantro. These are good! They come with soy sauce. The noodles are made from mong beans. Mung beans (Vigna radiata) are small, green legumes native to India, widely cultivated in Asia, and known as green gram or moong bean. They are a highly nutritious, versatile ingredient, rich in protein, fiber, vitamins, and minerals, used in both savory dishes (soups, curries, noodles) and sweet desserts, often sprouted for increased nutritional value. Mung beans are easy to cook, require little to no presoaking, and offer health benefits like antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. I am also having the Seafood Hot and Sour Soup (small size). This seafood soup is good! Not too spicy! It's similar to the standard Chinese hot and sour soup in taste. For my entree, i'm having the Sliced Chicken with Crunchy Rice. This is made with chicken slices, crunchy rice, black fungus, ginger, scallions, garlic, pickled chili peppers, lettuce and pea sprouts. They fold the crispy rice and put it on top. This is piping hot! Spicy too! For dessert, we are having a Chocolate Truffle (made with Zabione cream center surrounded by chocolate gelato and caramelized hazelnuts topped with cocoa powder), Cappuccino Truffle (made with cappuccino gelato with a heart of espresso covered with coffee flavored merinique sprinkles) and Capps Pistachio (custard gelato swirled with chocolate and pistachio gelato ago topped with praline pistachios). Zabaione (or zabaglione) is a classic Italian dessert made from whipped egg yolks, sugar, and sweet wine (traditionally Marsala) cooked gently over a double boiler until light, foamy, and custard-like. It can be served warm as a sauce over fruit or cookies, or chilled as a standalone dessert, often garnished with berries or biscotti. The name comes from the Venetian word for "whipped," reflecting its airy texture. These are absolutely great!

And fortunately other customers were understanding while the staff was helpful and accommodating. The small, curious child running around the dining room without parental supervision didn't get hurt when I ran him over. The menu was huge so it took a long time to order with Grandma asking questions about every item. I could see that the waitstaff was used to quick orders and rapid food delivery to the table, but the waiter remained kind and patient. He also repeated his answers loudly when she couldn't understand his English and because she didn't have her hearing aides turned up. We finally ordered a giant wonton soup, eggplant with garlic sauce, a shrimp dish, and orange chicken; all to share. Everything was fresh, hot, tasty and delicious. Grandma Ding did have to ask for the soup to be heated up because she likes it to be scalding. The dining room is worn and dishes were flying in and out as items were served and cleared. It's definitely a place for family meals, not one for an engagement proposal or romance. Perfect for our evening. Portions are generous and prices competitive with other restaurants in the area.
