Han Palace is one of those places that you bring the family to every week, and they too have a die hard following in the community. And for good reason! You can find Keith there every day, always on the move. When I went, he was the one who took us to our table. I couldn't help by admire the art etched into the glass dividers in the restaurant, and the high backs to the booths allow you an intimate experience with your dining companion/s. While he was camera shy and didn't want to be in a photo (which I can respect) he was more than eager to share his thoughts on his crab rangoon! I mentioned he has quite the fan base for the appetizer and he shared with me that he workshopped his recipe for a bit before settling on what he serves today. For him, he doesn't like a strong fishy taste. Keith also freely shared his secret touches, white pepper and scallions. A note I will remember next time I make my own. When asked for a staff recommendation for what to have with our rangoon, the server suggested the General Tso's Chicken, one of their most popular dishes. Before long the food arrived and I was excited to see what the hype was all about. On first bite, what you immediately notice is these are GENEROUS on the filling. If you like a fat rangoon, this is going to be right up your alley. The taste is cream cheese forward, with the kani and scallions supporting characters to bring it all together. A small warning, be careful how you bite into these, the filling can squirt out!! Normally, I am the type to roll my eyes at ordering General Tso at a Chinese restaurant. It's like the Chicken Tikka Masala of Chinese food. However! I see why this is popular. The chicken was fresh, the slightly crispy texture holding up in the sauce. The sauce was tangy, just the right amount to evenly coat the chicken with some extra for the rice and a level of heat between mild and medium. The rice was a savory hearty base for the chicken. My quest for the best crab rangoon in Rhode Island brings me to the best places. I'm glad to have discovered this community icon, and look forward to my next visit!

The food is always served fresh and hot. Best of all, the food is consistent. When I had my first crab Rangoon there 20 years ago, it tasted exactly like it does today. I can say the same about every plate served there, as I have had most of them multiple times. . The restaurant is spotless and most of the wait staff have been there since the beginning. That says a lot about the owner Keith, who is there every single night. He is warm, friendly, and welcoming! If you want a great meal, with amazing service and value, that is the place to go. No fancy decor. It's not needed. The food and service speak for themselves.

Asia Grille is the same thing except it's a brick and mortar restaurant and they have alcohol. The restaurant itself is located in a nice location at the Lincoln Mall. The interior itself is dated but large and has plenty of seating. The staff are all kind and I've had nice interactions with most of them. I feel bad leaving a three star review because many of them are so pleasant. But, the food is average at best. I've never had something that has wowed me or blown me away. Tonight I did the sweet and sour shrimp. The portion size was great with plenty of rice but they should have put the sweet and sour sauce to the side instead of on top. It almost made the dish too sweat. I also ordered a Mai tai which was good but standard. I will say I did oscillate between a 3 and a 4 because of their pricing. Most of their special combos are no more than $12 and my Mai Tai was $10. With the portion sizes this is a great deal! Plus the food always comes out incredibly quickly. Would I take my friends or boss to Asia Grille? But it is a quick and cheap meal if you're in the area and don't want to cook.

This review is for their dim sum menu! Is it the best dim sum ever? No, but it's quite good and…read morereally solid! Dim sum is usually a brunch thing, but we were in the area for a movie and just wanted dim sum for dinner. The two of us ordered the congee with shredded pork and thousand year egg, bok choy, salty shrimp, and off of the dim sum menu: steam rice roll with shrimp, chicken feet, oyster sauce duck feet, siu mai x2, shrimp chive dumplings, and Chinese tea. Forgot to take a photo of the siu mai even though that's our favorite. We also asked for hot mustard and chili oil sauce because that's how my family has eaten dim sum and that's how we now continue to enjoy dim sum. Everything tastes as expected. The chicken feet were nice and soft and fell off the bone. The dishes weren't too salty. The salty shrimp was as advertised--salty and crunchy. The congee is a large portion because it's mostly rice and water, but I just really wanted it and it did not disappoint. The tea could have been more flavorful, it was quite light. Despite that, the tea is still a diuretic. We did end up taking some food as leftovers. The customer service was really fast and polite! The interior is pleasant with interesting decor (a spear/halberd? mounted on the wall). The table partitions are pretty tall so you don't see the other customers if they're seated adjacent. It wasn't very busy when we went on a Wednesday evening, and parking is no issue at all here. Overall a good place to get some Chinese food whether you're a party of two or a party.
