Chicken chow mein lunch special with wonton.

Ordered takeout. Got the lunch special chicken chow mein. I get my order and it's all vegetables with the chicken on top of the fried rice. I called to let them know there wasn't noodles on my dish and the gentleman said chow mein is simply the vegetables, but traditionally chow mein DOES include stir fried noodles with the vegetables. Chinese restaurants in the New England area all make their Chinese dishes so differently. The vegetables were soggy and slimy, had to throw it all away unfortunately. The rice would have been salvaged if it wasn't soaked with the vegetable "juice." This is not a traditional Chinese restaurant.

For me this place is all about the mini pupu platter "B." I visited this place twice in less than a week because I loved the pupu platter so much. (I also had mu shu pork on my first visit, which I recommend skipping.) Anyway, I really appreciate that everything is fried fresh. My favorite would be the large egg rolls with the chicken wings coming in close second. The beef stick is also quite good with seasonings resembling pork char siu. Skip the main entrées and go for the pupu platter!

Great american chinese option in the QC. Delicious beef with pepper and onion that hit the spot. Staff is nice and the are open later than other chinese options in the area. Also cocktails.

I stopped here on my way home from the beach. It's a perfect halfway point and located just off of 395 in Plainfield, CT next to the Big Y. When we arrived we were the only customers. We were seated in one of the circa 1990 booths that looks as though it hadn't gotten a good cleaning in a while and already on the table were some fried snacks and duck sauce. After looking at the cleanliness of the booth I opted to pass on the complimentary table offerings. A few moments later our waitress came to the table and we ordered General Tao's combo with crab rangoon's and fried rice. Within about 5 minutes our meals arrive but unfortunately they were spare ribs and not General Tao's. She apologized indicating she must have written the wrong letter down. 2 minutes later our meals reemerged. The crab rangoon's were over cooked and had too little filling to be satisfying. The rice was clearly a reheat and the General Tao's was bland and uninspired. While we ate their staff of three sat in a booth by the kitchen and all watched us eat. It was a bit weird and creepy. Perhaps I expect too much from a shopping mall Chinese restaurant but next time I'll try a different place.

I went by the reviews I saw and figured I couldn't go wrong with this place. I should have just taken the $50 bill I spent and chewed on that for dinner. A pu pu platter, Beef chow fun, beef fried rice and wonton soup. The chow fun noodles were sooo over cooked and mushy, I couldn't tell they were noodles. The rice tasted like it had been made days ago, the chicken wings were very strange looking, and the beef in the chow fun AND the rice tasted like they had been boiled first and then put in the dish. Simply said, I will NOT be back.

So much food that I saved half for the next day. Always a delight!

As others have stated, looks can be deceiving. From the…read moreoutside you may think twice about ordering here, based upon the look of the building. That's a shame, because the food here has always been great. You need to know what you're looking for, and when I say that, I mean that this obviously isn't a Michelin star restaurant. It's a typical local Chinese restaurant that exists all over, however, it is a very good one. The menu will be familiar, and everything has always been hot, fresh, and ready in a timely manner. Add to the great food the fact that the people who work here have always been super pleasant, and welcoming. If you live nearby, definitely order from here. I have yet to be disappointed.

This place is probably the worst Chinese food place around here they used to be the best they've…read morenever delivered they don't use GrubHub or Uber or anything you do have to order and go get it but it used to be worth it. Recently I ordered quite a big menu like I usually do like $100 plus. And that's like before tax and tip and whatnot and they will take one item out that's not supposed to be there and leave it in another one that when it's not supposed to be there their food's gone like way downhill with the quality I don't know if anybody's gotten any beef sticks from there recently but they're literally burnt and paper thin like literally no exaggeration paper thin and you're going to pay eight something $9 for not even a sheet of paper worth of meat it's pretty crazy. Since that last order unfortunate for me because I did like them I'm no longer ordering from them anymore. And if you're going to order there for nostalgia you're going to be very disappointed.
