Nice quality cafe inside NM so glad it's opened back up! I always love having a light fare & drinks while shopping at NM- been awhile in- person here! Stars for freshness and presentation of quality spring mix and very good tasting soup was standout! Sandwich was excellent and good quality! I missed coming here so glad they are once again thriving! I recommend getting a reservation but walk in allowed if tables are available. Bar area also has high chairs if you are solo or as option from a table seating! Also very nice that they have Moet & Chandon in split option, which I love! Tea was excellent my friend said so. Rachel the reservation associate was friendly as was the cafe manager who checked in on us so that was a plus! Server was adequate but could have provided a friendlier approach and this is where I deduct a point slightly-the manager checking in and hospitality Rachel exuded were bonuses! I'm very pleased overall of my NM outing with a friend- been awhile- so happy that many people are shopping, even long lines at Gucci, LV, Chanel and all the other high end stores- backed up crave I supposed...

OH MY GOODNESS! Why have I subjected myself to other places that are absolutely subpar to this adorable cafe in NM? Ok, I am being a little dramatic here but the cafe was phenomenal; the food was delicious and the service was better! We popped (no reservation) in on a Thursday at 11am, Satomi was our server and the food and service was impeccable! The bread with strawberry butter, was incredible! I ordered the finger sandwiches and they were so good, the cucumber salad was delicious and my husband order the salmon tacos. He said the tacos were very good! I love that the menu is small, the cafe is boutique and I love the attentive level of service that you get here, its not overwhelming or "hovery", its the right amount! I do recommend having a reservation because it was packed as we were leaving.

I enjoyed lunch at this cafe located inside Neiman Marcus. I ordered the blacked salmon tacos which were served with jalapeños and slaw.... Omg so good. I also had an iced tea. The cafe is located on the lower level and it's small with about 8-10 tables. They also have a bar area where you may order espresso or cocktails. Super cute.... Would visit again

If you are exhausted from shopping and need a food break, please visit this cafe! It is small but wonderful. They give you monkey bread with strawberry butter to start, they have a delicious menu, and offer coffee, tea and alcoholic drinks as well! The food is SO good and the service is better! The chicken salad is always a hot and they have a very flavorful tortilla soup. Highly recommend

I had lunch at NM Cafe with my daughter. After being seated, each of us received a bread and strawberry butter. Since I wasn't super hungry, I got a bowl of Lobster Bisque, it tasted better than the one at Seasons 52.

Stopped by Neiman Marcus Cafe for a quick bite. Had the salmon tacos and a cafe latte. The place was clean, staff was nice, service okay, but the place has a weird vibe as it looks like it is a small cafe shoved into a side room.

Waiter said they closed at 3pm, even though the sign still located at the entrance said they open til 4pm.

Do not recommend this place. We made reservations online using open table for 3:45PM. When we entered the restaurant at 3:45PM, we passed a sign that had the hours (closes daily at 4PM). No one greeted us. When I walked up to a waiter, she said we're closed. I explained we made reservations online and the sign (see picture) at the entrance says they're open til 4PM. She again rudely said we closed at 3PM so of course we left. I should've trusted the online reviews which said this place sucks.

American Express or cash (closest ATM is the Bank of America one outside the Maggiano's on the second floor). Tucked inside the Neiman Marcus on the lower level, this department store cafe was way more upscale than I expected. In fact, I was pretty much slumming it in my flag football outfit, so I tucked myself into the corner of the bar. Their barstools are actually tall director chairs which are awkward to seat yourself with. Turkey breast sandwich was pretty basic, though the tomato slice was bordering on mushy. Didn't quite catch the mayo flavoring, but the horseradish mustard was a plus. Seasonal fruit didn't taste like it was out of a can, but it was diced awkwardly small for their fork size. I'd asked for the ham & beans soup of the day, but the gentleman who took my order was hard of hearing and I was let down by the grainy tortilla soup. This stuff is not worth the premium when you can get better at chain sandwich franchises for half the price. I was disappointed to find out that they didn't offer popovers at this location... because the ovens in their kitchen were too small? I raised an eyebrow at the excuse but still enjoyed my monkeybread with strawberry butter, and accepted the offer of a second helping. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of my lunch. Stereotypical Neiman Marcus clientele populate this cafe on the weekends; I was definitely the youngest customer there by a decade or two. Seriously, Neiman Marcus doesn't attract family crowds, so I'm sure the kiddie menu is rarely tested. Food served quickly and pleasant service but I won't be back.

A beautiful table setting

If you are shopping at Neiman Marcus at The Galleria, you expect nothing but the best quality. This is also true of their lovely cafe, beautifully decorated, phenomenal food, and great service. I was treated to this exceptional lunch with GF Hannah Hong. We were greeted by our waitress and viewed their special menu, as well as the main menu. I loved the elegantly set table and the soft clover rolls with strawberry butter. We ordered the tomato and vegetable soup that was topped with goat cheese. Lots of tomato flavor and large chunks of well cooked vegetables. The broth was light and flavorful. Next, we ordered the crab and shrimp salad. There was a large portion of crab, a few shrimp, cucumbers, avocado, eggs, tomato, lettuce, and a creamy rich remoulade dressing. It was refreshing and large. The seafood was fresh and delightful. Hannah had the key lime pie and I ate the oven warm chocolate chip cookies. They were both decadent and delicious. The service was superb. Thank you Hannah. It was an afternoon to remember.

I came here with my aunt, mother and grandma for lunch since my aunt was raving about how amazing lunch is here. The wait was a bit long since the cafe is kind of small and stuffy but it helps that they give you a buzzer so that you can look around a bit while you wait. The Pull a part rolls that they give for free are really good with the strawberry whipped butter it actually had chunks of fruit in it. I ordered the Moroccan Grilled Chicken Wrap it wasn't bad pretty filling for a wrap. The tomatillo salad dressing for the side salad was a bit on the salty side. Overall:decent experience staff was pretty attentive; a bit pricey but your at neiman marcus lol. I certainly would come back if i wanted spluge a bit for lunch or to get more of those pull a part rolls with the strawberry whipped butter.

We had a lovely table for six, enjoyed that it was round and we could all have a nice conversation while dining. Our food was outstanding as well. A few recommendations of appetizers including the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese that we all loved. They are known for their homemade pastas and offered a half size portion so you could try both- couldn't pick a favorite, each different and delicious! One of guests had fish which they loved and another had the ribeye and enjoyed it as well. Don't leave without sharing a dessert- the salted honey ice cream that topped the carrot cake was beyond perfect! Can't wait to celebrate another event there!

If you're hesitant about it being gamey, don't be! It had a perfect balance of sweetness from the caramelized onions and a distinct, smoky flavor from being torched. For the main, I had the Pan Seared Wild Petrale Sole, which was beautifully cooked and fresh. My friend loved the chicken, and we ended the night sharing a delicious dessert. Bonus: Parking was a breeze--we found a spot on the street right in front of the restaurant. We will definitely be back!

While the squash and onions detracted a bit from the flavors, the mushrooms were spot on! I enjoyed Cocktail #6 with Tequila, Elderflower liquor, fresh cucumber juice, and strawberry syrup. The cocktail was very balanced and refreshing - totally worth $21. I just wish there were more vegetarian options on the menu and lighter fare (smaller steak portions). It's a nice atmosphere, not too stuffy but elegant enough for a nice dinner. The drinks are good, well mixed, and nice options whether you drink wine, beer, cocktails, or non-alcoholic options. The food, however, is very mediocre. They started with an amuse-bouche that was a fruit tart with cheese. Nice, light, and well balanced. We ordered the tuna tartare, along side a Japanese sweet potato dish and a salmon tartare that were both specials. The tartares were fine. Something you would get anywhere. The presentation was nice but their crisp or cracker was kind of useless as it doesn't have the structural strength to use as a vessel to eat the fish. The sweet potato was probably the best in terms of flavor albeit very rich. The main course is well things really fell apart. The beef dishes people ordered were either under cooked or over cooked. I got the grilled prawns which were limp and mushy. The veggies were underseasoned. The braised beef was small. I think everyone was underwhelmed with the main course. It's fine as a after work dinner spot but if you care about food, there are better options nearby.

They offer a prix-fixe menu that changes seasonally (?) for brunch and dinner. The ingredients here are high-quality and well prepared and cared for before serving. I've heard great things about Maple Ave from a friends, so I took my family here for dinner this past Wednesday. We really enjoyed the creativity of how the dishes were crafted and plated here and the execution was also phenomenal. This time around, it was 59.00 per person for a 4-course prix-fixe dinner (two appetizers, one entree, and one dessert). Since there were only a couple options per section, we were able to try all the options they had. FIRST: APPLE HAZELNUT SOUP Creamy, pale colored soup with a thicker consistency similar to butternut squash soup. It was lightly sweet, yet savory at the same time. There were some pickled apples and toasted hazelnuts delicately sprinkled on top that added a bit of a crunch. The soup was unique and we enjoyed it. FIRST: ROOTCAKE Between the rootcake and the apple hazelnut soup, the rootcake was my favorite. The vegetables were caramelized and made into a patty, topped generously with almonds with some umami aïoli and pimenton sauce. The rootcake was so good. Each bite was hearty and rich, and it's such a unique way to prepare vegetables. The sauce enhanced each bite and the almonds provided a nutty texture. I would recommend the rootcake as your first option. SECOND: CRISPY SQUASH NUGGETS I didn't think I would enjoy the crispy squash nuggets as much as I did. The roasted squash is breaded with panko crumbs, sitting in some dill yogurt sauce and topped with some raisins and radish. The squash were perfectly seasoned and crispy with a soft interior that left my taste buds wanting more. The dill yogurt sauce was a good complement. I'd definitely recommend this option if you're not a fan of mushrooms and/or you want something more crispy. SECOND: WILD MUSHROOM RISOTTO One of the best mushroom risottos I've ever had. It's rich and creamy, filled with truffle flavor. The shiitake mushrooms had a dry, crispy texture. The manchego shavings on top were a great plus. The squash was used for coloring and probably some flavoring? Not sure. The whole thing was really good and memorable. I'd definitely recommend! THIRD: SHRIMP I'm not a huge fan of shrimp, but my family loved it along with the citrus braised fennel. I was a fan of the creamy semolina, though! Overall, it wasn't for me, but that's more of a personal preference. THIRD: PORK CONFIT STEAK The pork they used was pork belly (?) and seared very nicely, topped with perfectly crispy potatoes, mangoes (?), brown butter sweet potato puree and chimi churri sauce. The pork belly melted in my mouth but as someone who's not the biggest fan of fatty pork, I wish it was a leaner cut. The potatoes were so good and went well with the sweet potato puree. Even though I didn't love the pork confit steak, I'd recommend this entree over the shrimp. FOURTH: MOCK FRIED "APPLE" PIE It was zucchini instead of apple and you can't even tell. I loved the crispy pie exterior which was lightly topped with cinnamon. The vanilla bean ice cream was my favorite as it was creamy and smooth. The dulce de leche and lavender honey were nice touches. Very nice way to end the meal. All the food here were so rich with lots of complex flavors. Each dish was so beautifully plated with many vibrant colors. We were quite full after all the food we ate. I would recommend coming here with another person to try all the options they offer here! The food here is unique and well-executed, and I'd be open to come back to try a different seasonal menu.

Recently, Eater DC published a list of what they considered the best steakhouses in the DMV…read more Randy's made the list. We were looking for a place to have our anniversary dinner. After seeing the list, we chose Randy's. Randy's is a Great American Restaurant, and I must say it's so good to go to a GAR with a menu different from the others. In the past, I've written about how one can go to Coastal Flats and get pretty much the same menu as, for example, Jackson's. We made a reservation for 5 p.m. on a Saturday. We arrived about a half hour early, so we asked if they could seat us right then and there. The people at the host stand said "yes". We were seated at a 4-top booth. Thus, there was plenty of room. The booths, which have mohair seat coverings, were a shade of green and quite attractive. The environment clearly says "upscale steakhouse." Our server was prompt in getting to us and asked if we wanted some water. We chose tap water. He gave us time to look over the menu. We decided to not have any appetizers as we didn't want to get too full. To drink, my husband got a glass of Catena Malbec while I got an Espresso Martini. Our server asked if we wanted some bread. We said "yes". The bread basket had 2 flaky, buttery croissants, plus a slice of white bread and a slice with raisins. For our main course, we both got the 7 oz. filet mignon cooked medium rare. We chose to try two sides. One side was "roasted asparagus" which consists of: "poached egg, parmesan (we asked for no cheese and our request was honored), truffled Bernaise aioli". The second side was "Honey roasted organic rainbow carrots," which were "dusted with candied walnuts". As for the food --- We both thought our steaks were properly cooked, However, my husband said his was on the dry side while mine was just right. We both really enjoyed the side dishes. The asparagus was unconventional, to be sure. Never did I have a poached egg with asparagus. I ate the egg, and it was properly cooked. Looking back, I should have thought to put some salt on it as there was none. The truffled sauce was creamy and added nice flavor. The carrots, to me anyway, were a pleasant surprise. The honey added a nice flavor along with the candied walnuts. They, too, were cooked perfectly. As for being "rainbow" carrots, most were orange, with some white and yellow ones. We had some room for dessert, so we decided to share "Tressa's crispy meringue filled with lemon curd and finished with passionfruit coulis". Since it was our anniversary dinner, a dollop of whipped cream was added to the plate. In that dollop was a lit candle, which was a nice touch. I found the coulis to be on the tart side. The lemon curd was mildly flavored. Service was excellent, though dessert took a while ,to arrive. All in all, a nice splurge and we're glad we came here. (Well...we didn't care for the traffic on Leesburg Pike, but the dinner made it worth the trip).

The staff promptly remade the appetizer without the pesto, which I appreciated. However, the interaction left me feeling a bit like an inconvenience based on the tone of the response. For my entrée, I ordered the Patsy's 5 Star Reserve Rib Eye. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was absolutely delicious. I also added a side of the House Steak Sauce, and it paired wonderfully with the steak. I highly recommend trying it if you're someone who enjoys dipping sauces with your steak! The service: Overall, the service was pleasant. The staff was kind, attentive, and ensured we had everything we needed throughout the meal. While there were a few minor hiccups, I enjoyed my visit and would return to try more of the menu.
