Enjoyable meal. Tried the burger. Husband tried the turkey club. They did not disappoint. Good service too.

I thought it would be larger, but in no way did this small kitchen disappoint. It was absolutely delicious. I got a friend chicken sandwich which was huge and filled to the brim with scrumptious ingredients. I could not recommend this small kitchen more if your a local or just staying in the area. read more

Bests burgers around! We were visiting from Maryland and found this absolute gem. They even have New Mexico chile, in Maine for God's sake! Absolutely enjoyed my patty melt on rye bread and my wife had never had a smash burger. She loved it! Kudos to the folks at Nighthawk's! read more

Excellent food. A variety of different menu choices. Really liked the pizza sticks. Many menu choices, including the pizza sticks, are available gluten free. read more

The best burger ever. Worth every penny. My first time experiencing Nighthawk kitchen was in New York. When i am in town they are my go to. The burger ...Perfectly cooked and delish. I heard rumors they might add jerk chicken as a special. That would be so awesome. You must try it. read more

We had a long drive from Camden Maine to the Boston airport and stopped in here for lunch. It was pretty small but had a little outdoor patio. The service was great and the food was amazing. I had the corned beef Ruben which isn't something I would normally order but I was grateful I did! So yummy!! read more

Nighthawk catered my wedding rehearsal dinner and it was AMAZING! Christian was great to work with planning the menu and logistics at a very unique venue. The timing and preparation of the food was excellent. Everyone loved the food and service, totally could have used them for the wedding dinner. read more

I MAY (with a big exclamation point) give this spot another try, as I know that they were quite new when I visited. Unfortunately, my visit was not that great and the food was not good, especially for the prices. After a long hike that day, we were hungry. Noticing from the parking lot, though. The place was packed. Tons of people inside the establishment, but they were all their drinking at the bar, not ordering food. Only one other couple in the store had food. My friend and I are big burger guys, and since he's visiting from Italy and they don't do much with burgers, we had to try this new local place. Not only was it very confusing to find out how to place an order, as there was no customer service, just a random tablet in the corner, the menu was very limited, the kiosk was confusing to use and quite pricey. We both ordered a burger and a fries to split. After finally having placed our order, we stopped at the bar, got a couple of drinks and sat down and waited. And waited. And waited. For a very long time. Again, the place was packed, but no one was ordering food. Maybe because they were only there to drink, or because they, as well, were confused on how to actually place an order. We waited 45 minutes before I finally went to the bar to ask if they even got our order. The people at the bar, though, don't even work for the restaurant. It's next door. The kiosk is there to place the order and they'll buzz your phone when it's ready. Eventually, an hour after ordering, our food was ready. The phone said to pick the food up next to the bar. We go to the bar and are again confused on where to go. The bar tender, begrudgingly, tells us it's around the corner. We finally find it, bring it to our table and are starving at this point. When we take our first bites, it was very disappointing. The food was cold. Like sitting on the counter for 30 minutes cold. I quickly looked around again, and still saw no one else had food. So the only assumption I had was they finished our order quite a while ago, but forgot to tell us and it sat on the counter. I wish I could say it was only it being cold that was the problem. The burgers were bland, no salt or pepper to season it. The buns were hard, possibly from sitting around for so long. We went to the bar, once again, and they are the only customer service there, to tell them our burger was cold. With an attitude, they informed us that the burgers are not their thing and it's not their problem. They are the only customer service there and there bar is serving the burgers in their establishment. So, yes, it is absolutely their problem. If you are looking for a very overcrowded, loud, drunker place to eventually get cold, bland food and attitude from the service, this will be your spot. For me, I'll get a burger from McDonald's were at least it'll be hot. read more

Best burger in town without a doubt, also great fries. Tiny home in the wall so don't come for the ambiance!

We have been here a handful of times, starting when they were just a food truck. We have thoroughly enjoyed everything but our favorites have been the jackfruit Reuben, patty melt and the roast beef sandwich. The fries are perfectly crisp and seasoned. One of the best things is how the kids meals give so many choices to please picky eaters to adventurous eaters. My kids always want to go to Nighthawks! read more

Service was prompt. Noise level was high the evening we were there. Would have liked it better on a quieter night.

Got some take out today from a little gem in Freeport called nighthawks kitchen. Opening these boxes gave me the same butterflies in my stomach that a 8 year old has on Christmas morning. Inside the first box sat 3 perfectly fried fritters, steaming and begging to be eaten. The second, a mountain of fries and the green chili burger. Of course my mouth started to water instantly. Sweets always first, I tried the fritter, and my gawd. They are anything but bite size! These are 3 bite monsters! It was a carnival in my mouth. Delicious and highly recommend. The fries themselves have to be the best in the area! I could not stop shoveling them into my mouth hole. I was lucky it was takeout because I certainly looked like a fool doing this. The green chili burger was a bit spicier then I had suspected, but personally I'm ok with that. It was cooked perfectly, you know, with the little crispies on the edges of the burger. The cheese nicely melted over the chili's holding them in place while you take a bite. It was welcome contrast to sweet fritters. This place pretty much knocked it out of the water. I did not how ever realize the burger comes plain, so don't forget to ask for toppings if you want them. In conclusion, 4 stars. read more

Went to Mast Landing for a beer and lunch, was very happy with mast landing. Some of the best beers I've had in a while. Sadly, I tried Night Hawks Food truck (if you can even call it a food truck) Worst food truck experience I've ever had, the truck was very dirty. The burger was dry and tasteless, brown wilted lettuce and they forgot half of my toppings including cheese and onions. The bun was greasier than the burger, I don't even see how that's possible. Paid $15 for a burger that was absolute garbage, I've had better burgers for a dollar at Wendy's. Do yourself a favor and bring a lunch if you visit Mast Landing. read more

First time we went they had run out of fish tacos 5:30 pm. Second time we went, they were swamped providing food to wedding party upstairs.

BBQ burger the best burger in the area hands down! Haven't been able to find a better burger elsewhere!

We ordered Nighthawk's food though the window at Mast Landing Brewery. Easy self service ordering tablet at the window, then they text when your order's ready. Great set up! We had the chicken Brussels sprouts Caesar, which was so delicious and a huge portion as well as the patty melt, which was also really good. Excellent combo to enjoy ML beer with Nighthawk's food. read more

Absolutely delicious food! The server was so kind and attentive to my party and the other diners. I can't believe I waited so long to come to this place, it's now easily in my top 3 favorite places to eat in Freeport! Also, try the little whoopie pies, oh my so good. read more

Delicious food! Great service! Bathroom could've been a little cleaner. Had the smash burgers and salad.

I guess you would go there if you were starving! food was passable! Buger was burnt fries were salty and over dine!

these guys are absolutely killing it. The food is outstanding (and I'm a highly critical professional chef and restauranteur). Do NOT snooze on the incredible DOP Italian pantry goods for sale that are the gold standard, straight from Italy. I can't even believe these guys have this stuff. it's uncommon and highly sought after. The porchetta sandwich I had was out of control. super crispy, texturally, well, absolutely perfect. the sauce was incredible. the quality of the food and meat was just tops. I can tell you right now that the value is ridiculous because the quality seems to surpass the price point by a long shot. Nighthawk (Chef ChristIan Noe) clearly cares about what he does. There's simply no way around it. Again, I'm a chef and restauranteur and I'm a tough critic. I'm also a "never yelper" but this food was just too good read more

2nd time we have eaten here. Both times the food has been exceptional. I had their Jackfruit Rueben, it was just like eating a corned beef Rueben! Delicious! read more

Amazing food, portions are fair for the price. Staff is friendly and you can get food from the brewery side or they have their own restaurant too read more

Stopped in for what we hoped to be a quick bite; however, this may be the slowest kitchen in Maine. It took over 1.5 hours to get a simple sandwich. On top of the slow service, the dining room is small and cramped. read more

We were traveling north and were getting hungry. We happened to get off the exit in Freeport, and stumbled across Nighthawks. We weren't sure what to make of it at first - no real clear signs of what type of restaurant it was...and my wife is a little picky in general about food. They brought the food out and we both commented "looks pretty tasty". Then we both started in - my wife had a cheese burger, and I had the fried chicken sandwich. All I can say is WOW. JUST WOW. The flavor was outstanding and both meals were perfection - including the hand cut fries. Boy are we glad we accidentally found this gem. Thanks to the crew that served us. read more

I live not far from Freeport and have eaten at Nighthawk's numerous times while grabbing a beer at Mast Landing. I think their Hatch green chili cheeseburger is one of the best burgers I've ever head, and it's my go to dish when I go there. But on May 23, 2023 I ordered the blackened haddock tacos, and was really disappointed. The fish was seasoned well, and had good flavor. The problem was the soft corn tortillas they used. All three of my tacos had the bottom of the tortillas split wide ope, and if I tried to pick them up, everything fell out. It was as if the tortillas were not warmed up to make them pliable enough so they could be folded without breaking where they were folded. So I had to eat the pieces of fish with a fork, and didn't even eat the tortillas. For a place where I really enjoy eating, the fish tacos were a total failure, at least if you expect to be able to pick a taco up and eat it with your hands. I'll never order that again. But I'll be back for the cheeseburger. read more

Great food. Love the corn fritters with hot honey. The beer at Mast Landing is a bonus. Shopping in Freeport is nearby.

I went there just to have a little something to eat, while at the brewery. Ordered a few appetizers and tried the Hawksauce. The Hawksauce is ridiculously amazing. I highly recommend buying multiple bottles of it! I regret only buying 1! It's hot and full of flavor. read more

Save your money and go to a place that can at least cook a burger. My experience at the knight Hawk was lame. Burgers are very expensive and not very tasty. If I pay 14$ for a burger and an additional $2 tip just to hand it to me in a cheap paper bag I expect the Burger to taste good. Yikes!! Server was kinda sassy. read more

Awesome food, fun atmosphere and outside seating. There are plenty of options on the menu, my favorite are the fish tacos. Mmmmm

we Ordered the buffalo Mac and cheese, blackened fish tacos, fries and the Brussels sprout Caesar salad. The blackened fish tacos were $16 and you get 3 tacos. 2 of the 3 tacos had barely any fish or pickled cabbage. And then the last one was over flowing with fish and pickled cabbage. For $16 they should all have been packed full. Not happy with that part of the order at all. My wife's buffalo Mac an cheese had barely any buffalo sauce and tasted like cardboard as they put it in a cardboard bowl. The fries were in a paper box and soggy also not happy with both of those. The best thing was the Brussels sprout salad and it was like 4 bites for $5. i Would have brought the food back but it was a 15 min drive and I was hungry. Very disappointed with this place. If they stepped their portions up a bit I'd consider recommendatinag this place to someone else. Wish I had just brought it back and got my money back. They got me this time but there won't be a next time. read more

Had lunch at Nighthawk's Kitchen today. This was our second visit. The burger was dry and overcooked. The shoestring french fries were OK. The turkey in the club sandwich was dry and the cole slaw had a very unpleasant vinegar taste. When ordering at the kiosk we first looked at the menu on the counter while waiting for others to complete their order. We selected what we wanted only to discover when ordering that many of the items we chose from the printed menu weren't available. It was a disappointing experience. read more

Food is super par. I had the Turkey Club and it was as dry as can be and lacked any sense of flavor. That was the general consensus for the rest of my party. Food is not worth the price. read more

Absolutely amazing food!! And the staff all welcomed me with smiling faces!! If I had the money to eat here every night..I WOULD!!!

Was underwhelmed by the extreme markup for veggie burgers. It was $22 for a small side (a small portion of the shaved Brussels Caesar salad) and a veggie burger with a gluten-free bun. Very expensive for not a lot of food...especially when the already crumbly veggie burger is paired with a very seed-y GF bun. Sucks that a regular hamburger is baseline for price and I feel penalized for choosing to eat vegetarian here. read more
