Amazing for girls night or date night out. They do celebrate birthdays! The tuna tartare was great just wished there was a couple more wontons. The Caesar salad was amazing. The Mac & cheese was well made and for $15 extra you can add lobster. The Admiral Salmon was great the sweet and salty and tangy balances it out. During Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning there are free complimentary boat rides a beautiful scenery. (Sometimes they end early so accommodate with the staff) The service is exceptional, everybody has been accommodating and very kind. Thank you to Sabrina our server was amazing, she is also a girls girl! Sabrina also sang happy birthday to me. Please give her a raise or more recognition to her role. If God is in the details, Nigel's is nothing short of heaven. I came here with my husband to celebrate my birthday this past Friday night and it was the perfect choice. The details are exquisite. Opalescent glassware that glows in the candlelight. Gilded champagne flutes, crystal doorknobs, golden swan faucets. Pink lightbulbs making everything (and everyone) look more romantic, seahorse napkin rings, Instagrammable backdrops, and even edible gold artistically brushed across the tops of burger buns. We dined beside the water at a firepit table and watched as the boats floated past. And then there was Nigel himself, drifting from table to table greeting guests, as gracious and welcoming as he was impeccably turned out. We ordered the signature burger--gold-topped and indulgent--and the truffle mac and cheese, as rich as one would hope. Nigel's isn't easy to find, but the best things never are. Go from the parking lot by the Nordstrom Rack and descend the stairs to the left, look for the tiny pink trailer sign ahead. What you'll discover inside is a hidden pink and green world on the water that opens into an L-shaped dining room. This is THE place for romance, celebrations, or simply making an entrance. So..hate to be the Karen but the only thing good about this place is, no fee to park! Made reservations for their little table on the water. Arrived and they said it's for the restaurant. We clearly showed the confirmed reservation with water. Our 1st waitress arrives and tells us that the water table is only for drinks and appetizers, but doesn't say that when you make the reservation! 2nd, our drinks took over 40min to arrive. Our food was provided prior to our drinks!! But, they all were very good. 3rd, THEY REALLY need to figure out some AC/fan ventilation. As a long time Belmont Shore resident this place tucked in behind Ralph's and Club Studio below deck right tucked away Down under the the hustle and bustle of Marina residences and 2nd and PCH coffee bean heads this gym sneaked passed most in the know people. As a steak and chops guy I wasn't crazy about the pink decor but the girls seemed to have loved it as I sipped away at an aptly priced whiskey one rock with a tad splash of ginger ale... The women ran through cocktails precariously called Sippin Pretty, Don't Give Me Lip Swipe Righf - and the sexy Midnight In Miami for those who know! Now the top three entrees which include the Chicken Picatta Perfection or my preference the Mariner's New York strip which is a 10 ounce with a side of mash potatoes and grilled asparagus! Take the chefs advice and reel all of that in with the Houae Truffle Mac n'Cheese while you take in one of our wonderful 335 days and nights of warmth and sunshine. Service: I observed the waiters tried really hard but it was OVER capacity. The restaurant should have turned away guests if the place was that over crowded. There were several large parties and they kept taking more reservations. We had to wait an additional 45 min after our reservation based on how busy it was. From the Duffy (PLEASE GET ANOTHER PINK DUFFY!), to the cozy and elegant decor, I'm already plotting my next outing to Nigel's. Initial Impression: Walking in on a thick carpet with the logo dancing like a disco ball was enough to let me know I was in for a good time. I immediately felt like I was in Barbieland surrounded by pink and a magazine cover box. But PLEASE make a reservation! Their bar is open for walk-ins and is a great social/focal point of the restaurant. Service: The staff is excellent and accommodating! They were flexible when we were running behind for our friend's Duffy reservation and still provided a boat for us (thank you!). There are pink booth spaces outside near the cute trailer/coffee area, and they allowed her to cut her cake and take a few photos even though it has to be reserved in advance. I heard it was $500 for the booths but I may update this once confirmed. The drinks are refreshing, gorgeous, and strong! I had a Dirty Little Secret and it was phenomenal. The presentation is perfectly glitzy. I only got to try a few appetizers since we were on the boat, but their calamari is tasty and spicy. Overall: I want to try the floating tables! Fell for the instagram reel hypes by influencers again. This place has very beautiful decor, and is a pink dream. Other than that, it's just good for cute pictures. Food is meh and not worth the price. Pros: - The lovely decor and theme. It's brilliant and lively. You don't really see nautical and pinks together at many places. So it was nice and fun for photos. -parking is easy. Underground parking (entrance near Ralph's) leads directly to the restaurant's entrance. - ordered the New York steak and it came out tender and cooked to my liking. Without the accompanied sauce, it is very lightly salted and peppered to bland. The asparagus was grilled and delicious. -alcoholic drinks were strong. -good desserts Cons: -We came and were seated promptly at 1:00 pm. We assumed brunch was also part of the menu as the website did not say any specific time or date, and we came on a Friday to take advantage of the free boat ride. Our server informed us that brunch was only served Monday to Thursday, and that Friday is considered a weekend. It's such a downer that we didn't have that info on the website or the IG, so it limits our choices of entrees. -Service can be slow, but our server was generally friendly. -Chicken sandwich was bland regardless of all the fixings in it. Bread ratio is greater than the little piece of chicken. -Deviled eggs were very disappointing and bland. It is supposedly whipped with beets for color, but they could have at least add some seasoning like paprika or something. The bacon bits were good though and made the egg tolerable to eat. -We were excited to ride the boat, but as we asked our waiter about how to proceed for the ride, they say boat rides end at 2:30pm... which was when we were still eating cause food took a while to come out too. The quality of the food is not worth the price tag. And was it our bad for thinking it would be brunch and boat time? They have influencer posts pinned on their instagram (one from August, and one from November) and being shared all over. The restaurant hasn't had a more recent influencer advertise and change their offers. So we were sadly mislead! 2 stars for a good steak, desserts, alcohol, decor, and a nice server. The rest mostly due to false advertisement and poor execution on some dishes. Would I go again? Definitely not unless a friend wants to go experience, but I would thread cautiously. read more

Went with the trio plate which clearly states it's a 4 oz filet but looked like a 3 oz filet. I ordered it medium well, it came out well. It's. 1/2 cup of soup and a spoonful of chopped salad for $25.00. The chicken piccata was a good size portion of chicken which was slapped on a handful of spaghetti. D- for food presentation!! You want excellent food presentation and tasty food .. this is not the place. Now the deviled egg appetizer was ok. Our server Julian was great. Funny, great personality, knew the menu and was consistent and we never felt rushed. So thank you although .. mistakes happen and we got the wrong bill and charged the wrong amount but it got fixed.. no biggy. The service here was abysmal from start to finish. We had reservations at 2:15 and we were not seated until 3 PM when we got seated there was no greeting from any waiter, We were waiting around for a good while until we had to flag someone down to come take our drink and appetizer order. It took a while for them to come back to take our food order. Our food took a long time to come, and when it finally got to our table, the food was cold. We were at Nigel's celebrating our friend's birthday. We brought a cake with us, the cake was never taken to the back by any waiter, but to our surprise we were charged a $25 cake service fee for literally nothing. They didn't bring us any new plates or candles or assisted us in any way. We had to flag someone down to give us our bill and then again for someone to run our card. Overall, the service was horrible, the restaurant was extremely loud so it's very hard to have a conversation at the table. The place is chaotic. It was a horrible dining experience. read more

Overall, the service here was VERY poor. From customer service to food quality it all was very disappointing. My party of 6 arrived and was told it would be an hour wait, which was fine because we did not have a reservation. Then the manager tells us to come back at 11:20 and he'll get us a table. 11:20 comes around the corner, and we check in with the host and she was very rude telling us she did not have a table for us and that she doesn't know why the manager told us to come back at this time. It takes us 25 minutes afterwards to finally get seated. Once we got seated, the cleanliness of the table was not up to par of the standards that the restaurant claims to be. Our waitress comes and takes our drink orders and it takes about half an hour to get our drinks. Once the waitress comes back with the drinks, she goes on another detour for 20 minutes before she takes our food order then it takes another half hour to get our food. Once our food arrives, it is very bland and cold. This experience was very underwhelming for a restaurant that claims to be "elevated dining." I had a very disappointing experience with your restaurant today. Before heading over, I called ahead specifically to confirm whether walk-ins were accepted. Your customer service representative clearly stated that we could walk in and be accommodated. However, upon arrival, we were told that no walk-ins were being accepted despite there only being two parties ahead of us. This was extremely frustrating, especially since we relied on the information provided over the phone. I'm not sure how the responsibility falls on customers when the information given by your team is inaccurate. If calling ahead to check availability cannot be trusted, it defeats the purpose of having that option available at all. This inconsistency made for a very poor first impression, and it was honestly a disappointing experience overall. I hope this is addressed so other customers don't run into the same issue. read more

I visited Nigel's Restaurant in Long Beach expecting a nice experience, but unfortunately had a really disappointing situation. While dining, I used the restroom and when I stepped up to the sink to wash my hands, I stepped onto a rug that was completely wet and dirty. There was no warning, no sign, and it clearly hadn't been maintained. As a result, my white pants were stained with dirty water and essentially ruined. This isn't just about inconvenience--it's about basic safety and cleanliness. A wet, unsecured rug in a restroom is a hazard and should never be left like that for customers to deal with. I brought it to their attention because situations like this should be taken seriously. I hope the restaurant improves how they maintain their facilities so this doesn't happen to someone else. I've been seeing Nigel's Long Beach everywhere... on Instagram, every time I go to the market, and whenever I eat at the restaurant next door, that pop of pink kept calling my name. So we finally stopped in, and I'm officially OBSESSED..... The whole ambiance is so cute and unique.. they have these little floating pink tables on the water (almost like mini Duffy boats) and it gives total Miami vibes. Pink flamingos, pink décor, pink everything , cozy, fun, and seriously Instagram-worthy. We didn't eat here since we had already eaten next door, but we stopped for drinks and WOW. I'm so glad we did!!!! Bartenders are all so friendly and welcoming I had the "Dirty Little Secret" and it was so flavorful, refreshing, and absolutely delicious. I actually stumbled upon this place on accident walking through the marina boardwalk. The timing was perfect - I was dressed in upscale brunch attire, had just been stood up and just got the news of my aunt's passing. Wandering into Nigel's transported me into a whimsical wonderland. It definitely feels fun, young and energetic! I had the mocktail spritz - it was delightful! Cute, girly but also a great flavor profile. It dod not taste like tonic with drops of flavor, it tasted like a real contending drink on its own. I immediately texted friends that we should come here for a full brunch when we can. I will say the greeting girl with the pink blazer was uppity and unwelcoming. Like seriously she is a deterrent for more clientele. The guy with the long curly hair was great - friendly and informative. And the bartender was sweet and skillful. My visit was on 8/24/25. Food: par. Tomato soup had zero taste. They want to be Nick's, but they aren't. Service: par, nothing more. Management: unprofessional. We asked the manager where to check in, he gave an unhelpful answer, then rolled his eyes behind our backs -- not realizing we saw him. Support staff were more focused on selfies than guests. If you really want to copy someone, go eat at Nick's and copy all of it -- because they actually know how to do food, service, and management- But the most unprofessional part was the blonde-haired manager. As we sat eating (the same meal we could've had at Nick's), she stood on the floor, reading reviews out loud to another staff member, mocking them within earshot of guests. In the middle of it, she used the phrase "colored people." I called her over and told her: "We're just sitting here listening to you make fun of reviews -- and I'm one of the people who just wrote the latest one." Instead of apologizing, she excused it by saying she only used that term because it was written in a review. That's not true. I looked up the review she was supposedly quoting -- nowhere did it say that. Later, I even saw Fred on Instagram making excuses for it, shifting the blame onto the reviewer instead of taking responsibility. After that, the male manager pulled me aside (because my wife wasn't having the excuses). His reasoning? "It's difficult with two entrances." I told him that's why systems and procedures exist -- someone should be at each entrance to guide guests, period. The amount of excuses, combined with the string of one-star reviews, shows a pattern: instead of listening and improving, they dismiss and deflect. After attempting to write a review previously, I now feel the need to update it after dealing with an OVERCHARGE on my sister's bill. First, the view and pink aesthetic here are beautiful. However, the service, food and professionalism did not match the atmosphere. We came to celebrate my sister's birthday and the experience was disappointing. Instead of handling the concern discreetly, she asked "why" and if we had any other issues, which made it feel like we were creating a problem when it was simply feedback about one dish. No apology or alternative solution was offered. What made the situation worse was discovering an additional charge after we had already left. My sister has been calling here since MARCH 1st. Today when she spoked to Leah, she was told us we would have to wait several days to speak with the GM because he had "a long work day." After waiting nearly a week, the response we received included a sarcastic remark asking "how many dollars are we talking about?" That level of unprofessionalism is disappointing. It should not matter if the amount is $5 or $500. Customers deserve transparency and respect when questioning charges on their bill. The atmosphere may be nice, but based on this experience, customers should review their bills carefully and be aware of how concerns may be handled here. read more

On September 7, 2025, I reserved the Anchors Away Pink Duffy boat for my birthday. What should have been a fun celebration turned into one of the worst experiences I've ever had. The boat was okay, but not nearly as vibrant as the photos online. It wasn't the cleanest, some buttons were missing, and the layout was different than what I expected. I thought we'd have two tables, but it only had one. The frustrating part is you don't really know what boat you're going to get. No one ever answers the phone, so if you're planning something special or want to decorate, there's no way to ask questions ahead of time. They just point you to a website that shows random reels from past customers, not the actual boats. It feels like they rushed this launch without proper planning. Staff seemed confused, scattered, and no one took accountability. If you ask for a manager, you quickly find there isn't one. I booked on August 20 with the pink ice bucket add-on for a September 7 reservation. What should have been $350 turned into $405 at check-in because of a hidden 20 percent service fee. No explanation, no service, and our ice chest wasn't even ready. Staff scrambled after our rental time had already started and tossed a bag of ice with the chest onto the boat. When I booked on August 20th, I reserved the floating tables. They had more than two weeks to contact me if those weren't available. Instead, I only found out when I arrived on September 7 that it was a "computer glitch" and the tables couldn't be used. With all that time, they could have called and given me options, like booking a cabana since I had multiple guests, instead of blindsiding us at check-in. Instead, we were placed at the front tables at 4:30 in the afternoon, the worst possible time. The sun was dropping and blasting directly inside the restaurant, making it even hotter than outside by the water. Empty shaded cabanas sat unused, but staff still refused to move us. While some of my guests escaped to the bar to cool off, an eight foot beam fell from the ceiling, striking two of my friends. One suffered a concussion, vomited, and left in an ambulance. Another was hit in the chest and arm. I felt terrible, my friend came to celebrate my birthday and ended up in the hospital. The owner's reaction was appalling. Instead of showing concern or apologizing, he downplayed what happened and even questioned how many drinks my injured friend had. Staff quietly removed the beam as if trying to cover it up. To top it off, that table was still forced to pay their bill. Between hidden fees, unprepared staff, unbearable seating, and a serious safety incident, this business is in over its head. No accountability, no care, and no answers. What should have been a special birthday was frustrating, unsafe, and traumatizing. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

Service was unfriendly, water was delayed, and the charcuterie board melted in the sun. My lobster roll had zero flavor. The worst part: while at the bar, two people in our group were struck by a falling metal beam. One had to be taken to the hospital with a concussion. Management showed no urgency -- and still handed us the full bill. Absolutely unacceptable. Poor service, unsafe conditions, and total lack of accountability. Whoa! What can i say about Nigel's? For starters it's tucked away. Once you find it you've walked into the absolute cutest space! The colors, the ambiance..the SERVICE was amazing! The wait staff was attentive and on point. The food was delicious. But the best part of the day was the management team! I have never been to a place where the owner, managers and chef have all stoped by your table to chat. Not like stop and say hi, but really chop it up with you. Bobby was so humble and sincere. The ambiance is great for a girls day, and the waitresses are so kind and patient. They definitely create a positive experience and their drinks were good, however their food wasn't that great. We got the avocado toasts, which had more sprouts than anything. Their potatoes were great. read more

Came to Nigel's for my birthday and had a party of 11. We were seated toward the back and had our tables separated instead of moved together. When we asked if we could move the tables so our party could be together, we were told they were unable to due to it being a safety hazard. It did make the experience feel disconnecting as our party was separated into tables of 3-4 people. I will say the vibes inside were very cute and the menu was eclectic. I had the lobster roll as my entree and although it was tasty, I did find it to be small for the price. The drinks were good but also overpriced. I'd be willing to try it again perhaps for brunch but just know this place is not suitable for big groups. read more

Completely obsessed! This place is so gorgeously designed and decorated with every detail in mind. Luxurious booths looking over the water, pink plates and crystal glasses what more could a girl ask for? The food is delicious and service is amazing. They've got something special going on and I'm here for it! read more

To start with, it's hard to find. The hostess suggested entering Nordstrom and walking downstairs. Problem? There are no stairs. Second, waiting for 5min to be seated with the manager next to us not acknowledging our presence and instead directing traffic. Got seated with poor lighting, and our server never brought out our water, nor checked up on us the full 50min we were there. Overall, it's not worth the experience for just being "pink". HARD pass P.S. $20 for a mediocre drink? No thanks. read more
