Zero stars. I went here during Covid. Ordered a Greek salad and was served in my car. I got a salad that had Spinach, white onions, canned cheap black olives, tomato and fried chicken. In any realm, this is not a Greek salad. When I called to get something else I was told I had to come inside. When I came inside the owner screamed at me for not having a mask on (I didn't even want to go inside, was told I had to), told me the salad he made me was a Greek salad, threatened to call the cops, kept my salad and my $20. The absolute WORST dining experience of my life. Greek people should be horrified, and locals should not support this thief. It's what he is. A thief. Nicks diner underwent an aesthetic overhaul and has a beautiful interior. Val was our server and she was pleasing and helpful. The food was pretty good: Pancakes were tasty but could have used some more fluff- 7.1 out of 10 Homefries had good flavor (something most diners fail to accomplish) but were soggy and not warm enough.- 6.4 out of 10 Omelette was clearly cooked in a pan too small leaving it fat and small. The contents within the omelette were shoved into this small fat omelette meaning there was a heavy concentration of filling in every bite. I did not like this.- 4.8 out of 10 Conclusion: Superior than most diners in the area when it comes to homefries and pancakes, however if you are looking for a good omelette... go elsewhere. read more

Visibly understaffed for the dinner rush but our waitress was doing her best at handling it all. She was so kind and recommended us a smoked pork sandwhich that the owner smoked that day. It that was to die for! The beef was made to perfection. We also had cheese curds as an appetizer and an open faced roast beef sandwhich that was unbelievable. Their seafood pizza was excellent crust was light and crispy seafood was just right It had a perfect drizzle of olive oil to top it off. Today was my first and probably last time that I will be going to Nick's Diner. If you have food allergies do not come here because they don't care, even when they say they do. And the food was not good. My coworker and I decided to try it out for lunch as we work right down the street and we were excited to try it. We have 30 minutes for lunch. We get there and decide that we would order our food, run some errands and come back and pick it up so we made it back to the office in time. There was maybe 2 tables there when we got there. We get there, I explain that I have food allergies and I could not have a bun or cheese on my burger, I asked if it was possible to get it on a lettuce instead. The waitress, who wasn't super pleasant, she seemed as if she didnt want to be there, said that that wasn't a problem, I also said I couldn't have the fries because they were done in a shared fryer. My coworker ordered a chicken wrap with limited toppings and a piece of cake. She told us it would be about 20 minutes. We get back 20 minutes later and the food is still not done, so a wrap and a burger, ended up taking 40ish minutes to make. As I was waiting, the cook puts up my burger on the window, were you can see into the kitchen. There was a bun on my burger, someone told him that it was supposed to be bunless. So he took the bun off and threw it away and gave me the same burger. At this point I didn't want to make a scene so I didnt say anything as I was already late getting back to work and couldn't wait for a new one to be made. We get back to the office and my coworker had toppings on her wrap that she specifically asked not to be on it along with it had only one super tiny piece of chicken in it, and her cake was chewy and she didn't eat either things. I decided even though I shouldn't that I would try a tiny bite of my burger to see if it was at least good. It was not. It was over cooked and dry but somehow was also the most greasy burger I've probably ever had. So together my coworker and I spent $32 here and we didn't even eat lunch. I order an large antipasto salad and 6 garlic knots for lunch take out today. I watched the server bring food to 2 other people and she was fast on her feet and very polite. My salad only took a few minutes to make, and it was Very large. The garlic knots were really big too and so delicious! I was probably only able to eat 1/4 of the salad because it had so much meat on it Their Italian dressing they make right there and it was very good as well. Male who claimed to be the owner was swearing "f" this and "f" that while we were there having lunch . Asked the waitress to send him over to talk with him . Told him I was upset to have to listen to his vulgarity while I was eating there and said he was very unprofessional and he needed to treat his employees better . He claimed he treats his employees very well and then wanted to argue with me . Posted my encounter with him on Nicks diner FB page and it was deleted . In the evening he posted on another FB page I posted that I was rude to him and his kids when they came into the business where I rent with others and he was going to tell the owners that he won't be shopping there anymore . When I saw the post I personal messaged him and asked him why he would lie like that - he then blocked me . Went on another phone and asked him if he was really the owner of the place .he then changed his FB name from hunter smith to zack Robertson and said he was a chef ????? All I know is I won't be returning to Nicks diner . If I want to hear vulgarity while eating I'll go to a bar . Found out later his name is Rodney Thorsland . Another person reposted my comments on another FB page and many left negative comments about him doing the same thing . Tonight, our family decided to order from Nick's Diner who has amazing food. Their seafood is great, as well as their burgers. We've had good service from them in the past. However, tonight was different occasion. We were told our food would be at our house between 45min-1 hour. Which is normal, what is not normal is that after an hour I call and the owner and tells me the food will be there in 10 minutes. 45 minutes later I call and ask for a compensation for the long wait. The owner decides to say that we don't deserve a compensation because we are a 13 minute drive away. The only reason why I am writing this review is because I have never experienced such poor service in my life ordering from anywhere. One hour and forty-five minutes later and yes the food got here, but everything was cold and soggy. Not worth $72. And to be told no compensation for the long wait? WOW. Do yourselves a favor, if you are going to support this restaurant, eat there. Do NOT order takeout from here. The management is very unreasonable. read more

My husband and I went in alone one night, they cooked his burger well, it wasn't over cooked and I got a Philly cheesesteak, it needed salt and pepper, but wasn't soggy and tasted pretty good. Last night we ordered pizza, knots and a salad for delivery- knots were okay- pizza was good and the salad was better than any of the pizza places in the area. I am the lady who came in on election night. I am from San Francisco. I'm here to look in on my aunt. I have ordered the fish and chips on several occasions. My dad used to bring fish and chips home in a newspaper package often. I LOVE Nick's fish and chips dinner and it's better than what my dad brought home. The portion is huge. They know what the are doing. The Cod is tender on the inside with a golden brown crunch on the outside. The chips, coleslaw and tartar sauce are spot on too. It's a ten. I hope they get malt vinegar soon. This restaurant deserves our patronage! They have earned mine with this classic dish. read more

I ate many meals at the original Nick's, & I've had 3 this year at the "new" Nick's. I enjoy the new decor, & servers have always been pleasant & satisfactory. But, if you are expecting a classy menu, then you will be disappointed. However, for the simple diner experience the meals are good, & the staff responsive to customer concerns. I am trying to be understanding due to covid. However, this restaurant often takes over 1 hour - up to 2 hours, to deliver food that can vary significantly form order to order. Sometimes everything is cooked perfectly, and other times it can seem a bit undercooked for the average person's liking. Ironically, even when deliver arrives late, it is still undercooked. Nicks was the first restaurant my family and I attended once things opened up after corona. What a huge disappointment our experience was. There was one waitress working the place. She had 5 to 6 tables to take care of at a time ( which is quite common ) and was taking incoming calls on the restaurants phone (she carried it on her person) She was one of the most inefficient waitresses I have ever encountered. The food was inconsistent. Some things were very good , others were barely edible. The kicker at the end was while waiting a long wait for our check, witnessing the "cleanup" of a nearby table. After the table was cleared of dirty dishes, it was wiped off with what looked like a dirty slop cloth. The ketchup,salt, pepper etc. were simply put back in their place with no regard to germ control. This was such a disappointment. I ordered a vanilla milkshake and that was delicious. However I ordered a side of fries and not only did it take over 30 minutes for my fries to arrive, they arrived soggy and tasteless. My friend ordered the chili fries and the chili tested almost metallic. This order also also took over thirty minutes. Also the service was terrible. While it took over thirty minutes to get our food, our waitress never came and asked if we were okay or refilled any of our drinks. We only got our food when I asked a different waitress about the reason for the long wait. The restaurant was not busy. It was so sad because the inside was a great diner.
