This coffee is awesome!! At each coffee shop I go to I always order an iced mocha with whole milk to compare them and this place has some amazing iced mocha!!!! Such a simple drink but done so deliciously!! The staff is super nice/quick and so are the seating areas! I love the lighting and how everything feels so cozy!! Many places to be seated!! Latte lounge is one of those neighborhood coffee shops that I love. They have your typical range of espresso drinks and an all day breakfast menu and good service. I ordered my iced caramel latte and enjoyed it - this is a place you come more for the ambiance than the coffee! The attached bookstore with seating and reading nooks along with the ample cafe seating make me real jealous that I don't have a shop like this closer to home! Old turkey, messed up the order on mine and my dads, I asked for a different sandwich instead and was told I had to pay the difference. Which I gladly did vs getting the same old meat again. There was no apology for the bad meat or messed up orders. I've managed restaurants in NYC and know the least you can do is apologize to the customer and not make them pay extra when the restaurant messed up. The service is consistently bad. I've been here before and they've never got the order right. I stopped buying anything from there but my parents were visiting the area and wanted to go there since they used to go when the original owner owned it. Waste of money honestly. Last time my husband and I were here the manager heard us talking about the order being messed up and didn't apologize for that either. Or make any attempts to make anything better. The place was much better when the original owner was running it. After he sold a few years ago is really gone downhill. My parents were quite sad this place is not a great as it once was. read more

The coffee here was disgusting. I ordered an Americano and it tasted like burnt rubber bands. Where was the acidic, fruity undertone of the espresso? And don't give me the excuse that this is a bold, earthy varietal of bean. I know how a rich, full bodied espresso tastes like. This Americano was over-boiled old coffee dregs that were likely filtered multiple times and intentionally overheated at high temperatures to disguise how terrible the coffee was. For the price of the Americano you would expect them to use a better quality bean and to properly train their baristas. One star because the staff was nice. Otherwise they deserve no stars for their overpriced bad coffee. read more

The service there is soooo hit or miss it's crazy. Mostly rude, with a few nice newer employees. You ask for a recommendation and they either hate you or actually help you but you can never tell which one it'll be. Weekends there's a line out the door and you have to hunt for a seat like a vulture, it gets crazy so go early bc all the college kids are undoing their hangovers there. The bookstore next door is nice to browse while you wait for your drink bc it will take a while. They have a lot of flavors to choose from for drinks but their coffee/espresso is not very good at all. U basically have to get a flavor combo every time to make it taste good. I recommend mocha and raspberry. I've worked at coffee shops my whole life so Ik what good coffee tastes like.. As for food, it's alright, nothing crazy and on the pricier side. Capresso down the street makes a way better SEC but people don't go there as much. read more

Aside from breakfast items they've recently expanded their lunch items, and their specials are yummy and have a huge range now. If you're in the area and looking to pop in somewhere for breakfast this is the spot. Glass case by the register is also always covered with a variety of different muffins, slices of cakes, pastries. The bad: This is a temporary issue - The windows in the back when we visited on Wednesday morning were completely gone. The openings were covered in plastic. With the construction going on, it was very loud, and some of the dust was coming into the restaurant. Other than that, the only issues were some of the chairs need replacing due to the rips in the seat. And the website says it's good for groups, so my group was expecting a few big tables to seat parties of 6 or more. No such luck. We made it work. The good: The food came fast and was good. This place is solid. Very glad we didn't go to this dingy one-man cafe down the street (not naming names). The decor and vibes are hip and fresh, and there was a bit of a line. A small coffee is huge, and it tasted amazing. I usually drink it black, and the aroma (caramel cream) was exactly what helps me wake up in the morning; looks like they get the beans from a local roaster. The wait for food wasn't too long considering the amount of people. My bf got the crispy cutlet and it came with these AMAZING bagel chips. Yummm. My fitness lizard sandwich was lacking seasoning /salt but it was super fresh and light which l appreciated. //edit We came here again since it was on the way home, and the experience was a bit different. I'd subtract half a star if i could. I got 2 eggs over easy, sausage and bagel with cream cheese. Wow, what a cute little town Oneonta is! Latte Lounge is one of many adorable shops on Main Street, which is something straight out of the movies. The entire ambiance of Latte Lounge is really cool. It's got an "industrial" feel, with pipes lining the ceiling and light bulbs decorating the building. Even the menu adds to the vibe - everything is written really beautifully with chalk paint on black chalkboards. They have a breakfast menu and a drink menu, both of which offer fantastic choices. We came before an early morning baseball game, so we just got drinks. Both the iced coffee and the chai latte were amazing! The chai latte was sweet enough to appreciate, but not overwhelmingly or sickeningly sweet to the point where you can't appreciate the taste of the tea. It was awesome. There are also a bunch of cute chocolates in a glass display to the side! They are decorated like little mice, so cute. Can't wait to be back! read more

I say, Whilst not packed with basic college age women, this establishment does offer some good breakfast and baked fare! The coffee is quite good as are their breakfast plates which are affordable and prepared quickly. Bagels are good as well for an upstate establishment. The real draw is the atmosphere of seemingly endless flavor options for your java, as well as the quaint local adjoining bookstore that offers a great place to meet with colleagues and talk over breakfast/brunch before browsing the bookstore. What caught my eye was the sign in the front stating they make homemade hummus and that breakfast is served all day long. My Ma & I decided to stop here after a dentist appointment in Oneonta. It's very spacious, at this time of year (June) all of the college kids are home so the place was completely dead with only one or two people eating. I can imagine it's busy during the school year. There's tons of seating & could easily accommodate a large party of 8 or more. The menu is a good size and is on the wall to the right when you walk in. Sandwiches, wraps, salads, delicious lattes & smoothies AND THEY HAVE A DESSERT CASE. The chocolate chip fudge cake caught my eye! Looked amazing. You order at the counter and the cook yells your name when your food is ready. Somewhat similar to Panera Bread without the vibrating buzzers. It was kinda awkward when he shouted my name because I didn't even know where to get the food. You pretty much walk somewhat behind the counter and pick it up right on the cooking station. Eh, it worked. I got the hummus sandwich and my mom got 2 eggs over easy with Homefries and toast. The hummus sandwich is homemade hummus, lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, onions, & sprouts on flaxseed bread. Came with bagel chips on the side. It wasn't the greatest sandwich or hummus I've had, but it wasn't bad. I ended up getting some balsamic dressing to smear on it for some extra flavor. They should add some kind of condiment to the sandwich and it would be tastier. All together lunch was $11.00 something. Pretty cheap. There's an adjoining book store which is a great touch. You can walk right through and check it out while waiting for your food. It's a very cute place to grab some lunch. Very nice staff as well. If I lived closer I would visit more often. read more
