A mixed review. Loved the bagels and cream cheese but the coffees were below the quality of even Starbucks. Since I really came for the coffee, I couldn't give more than three stars. I love espresso drinks and will go out of my way for small local coffee shops. Unfortunately, the high ratings here were most likely for the food. Was able to use a 20% discount from SUNY Oneonta Upon arrival, there was a short line at the door. I started off with a plain bagel with garlic herb cream cheese. I also got the 32 oz iced coffee for $2.60. The coffee is served to you in a to-go cup whether you're saying or going. The iced coffee came without a lid. There is sugar and creamer along with plastic utensils and napkins on a shelf near the entrance to their book store, Green Toad. It is very cute. I do recommend giving it a walk through. There are many little things that locals made to sell inside like cloth wallets, soap bars, and jewelry. The blue writing on the chalk boards (menus) were hard to read. They toast the bagel for you. The bagel was so disappointing. It was pretty doughy and not fluffy enough. My boyfriend got home fries, toast, and scrambled eggs. I gotta say, he definitely ordered the right things off the menu. We initially spent ~$9 for all that and I was pretty happy we did not exceed $10 on breakfast, but I wasn't satisfied at all. There were plenty of seats around 9am on a Saturday morning. After a bite of his home fries, we decided to get an order of pancakes. So we got one blueberry pancake, one chocolate chip, bacon, and a side of home fries. Now the bacon are 75 cents per strip and the home fries are $2 as a side. Our second round of breakfast cost ~$7. This second round of breakfast was far more satisfying. I wish I hadn't even gotten the bagel in the first place. For both orders were were asked if we wanted ketchup or hot sauce, but when you pick up your own food from the kitchen, the ketchup and hot sauce are in buckets, so I don't see a point in them asking you what sauce you want. I do wish there were just pumpable sauce stands there to have the option of being a bit more sustainable, despite it possibly getting messier. I was pretty upset there was no recycling bin for the coffee container since all their drinks are either served in plastic or paper cups. I understand why the syrup and butter would be packaged in little plastic cups, but ketchup and hot sauce could definitely be served in a different way. Bonus: If you play Pokemon go, Latte Lounge is on top of 2 Pokestops! Haven't tried the pastries/sweets, but none of them caught my eye...would definitely come back here for the pancakes, home fries, and bacon though! read more

Finally had a chance to experience Latte Lounge twice this past weekend and had an enjoyable experience both mornings. This place is crankin' and always busy from what I saw this weekend. Saturday morning we came in around 1030 in the morning and the line was out the door. Believe it or not, even though they serve food, the line moved quick enough and the best part was that the owner was out on the floor directing the flow of the line, having conversation with his regulars and taking a moment to get to know new faces and I thought that was awesome. This place really has something for everyone; loads of different types of bagels that are apparently made in house, various types of cream cheese spreads, egg sandwiches or wraps, gluten free bread available, chobani yogurt available, and other sandwich options. I didn't notice the place having any fruit but I could be wrong. They have an extensive list of coffee drinks with over 20 different syrup flavors; peanut butter flavor, chocolate, hazelnut, coconut creme, vanilla, raspberry, pumpkin spice, like I said over 20 flavors with sugar free options as well. They have soy milk and almond milk and so many different kinds of coffee for the day. They had at least four different unflavored blends working and three flavored coffee options brewed. I tried the vermont maple on Saturday and while it was a tad too much of the fake flavor for me, it might be right up others alley. Sunday I tried the hazelnut flavored coffee and it was great. Bold roasts, light roasts and some in the middle. My only complaint about the entire place really was that they didn't serve their coffee in mugs. That's a personal preference kind of thing and of course adds to dishwashing costs and time but there's just something about sipping coffee in a cafe in a mug, especially with this type of place, it was beautiful inside, almost like you were in someone's home! Exposed brick everywhere, beautiful dining piece where they kept coffee lids, milks and sugars, large dining room family style table, beautiful wall hangings, etc. I preferred the seating up front and the seats along the high top bar along the wall because in the back it gets a little tight, in my opinion. Their wifi is great and very much appreciated as internet is spotty to say the least in Oneonta. The place is attached to a bookstore, which I loved! I was eating light these particular mornings and ordered 3 egg whites no butter and it cost $3. My boyfriend had some sort of tomato basil wrap with eggs and home fries. The home fries were big chunks and he seemed to enjoy everything about the breakfast. Two mornings at latte lounge very well spent, I can see why this spot is busy all the time. read more

Latte Lounge is a cozy yet bustling coffee shop with a really fun bookstore attached to it. I ordered a caramel creme brulee iced coffee. I poured the soy milk in myself, which didn't leave the coffee watery at all. It was so delicious and for someone with a sweet tooth, it was really satisfying on its own, no sugar added. I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese which was also really good. Being from New Jersey, I missed good bagels, and this hit the spot. The line gets a bit long on a Saturday afternoon, but I was still able to find street parking and seating to sit down, read, and journal for a bit. Definitely worth the 20 minute drive for some time to myself. read more

I was here recently for the first time. The food was just ok but I enjoyed the coffee, and while the people there were nice the ordering system can be a little confusing. I placed my order at the front counter and then I went and sat down at a table. I didn't know if I was supposed to go up and wait for my food or if someone was going to bring it out. I waited longer than I thought I would and then I heard my name called so I got up. It wasn't handed out up front where I ordered, I had to go out back to the kitchen and pick it up. Not a big deal really but if you've never been here before then I just wanted to give you a heads up! Another word of advice: mark your territory. When I got up to get my food someone came and sat at the table I was at. Oops. So for the food I got a little of everything. The bacon was the best thing I had. It was crisp but not too crisp and it had a nice smokey flavor. The eggs were alright, a little overcooked. I got a bagel and it was very mediocre, I wasn't the biggest fan of the texture. The home fries were alright, not the average diner ones that build a nice crust up by sitting on the flat top. The pancakes had a good flavor but I didn't care for the texture, they were on the dry side and not fluffy at all. I tried the pecan pie coffee and I tried it black but it was a little too bitter for me. I've been trying to go black lately but I really thought that this needed a little cream and sugar. This is my go to spot for morning coffee if I decide to save some money and make it myself. There is something about someone else making you coffee, it tastes better? It is connected to the bookstore next door, I never realized that until the side door was open and I was waiting for my coffee. How cool! There are a ton of different options here between drinks and food. We had gone here for breakfast one morning and it was PACKED, it obviously is a favorite in town. I ordered something simple, bagel and cream cheese, and he ordered a turkey breakfast sandwich, my terrible memory can't tell you the exact item. Lots of different areas to sit and there is outdoor seating on those nice weather days. I love the Sumatra coffee. When I'm feeling special, I order an iced chai with soy, those are more expensive so I do try to avoid it but they are delicious. I would recommend the iced chai over the hot one, the hot one is not good. They do have a rewards card, if you get 10 punches, you get 1 free drink but it's limited on what you can order. I think the 1 free is only coffee so don't go expecting a free chai. Overall, a good spot to try local coffee and have a bite to eat. read more

LL opens early and closes at 7pm every day. What I don't understand is why employees answer the phone after they're closed though. With an attitude. I was visiting a friend this weekend, and it was my first time at the Latte Lounge. The way she described the cafe to me, was that it was the most popular cafe in town. And she wasn't kidding! With just a bus ride away for SUNY Oneonta students, it was packed full on a Saturday morning. Right when we got on line upon entering the cafe, a lady went up to us and asked if we were getting any food. (Guess to speed up the line a little bit so they could just focus on making drinks) We looked at the menu which was located to your right on large chalk boards. They had choices of different teas, coffees, and juice. I have to say the coffee choices are kind of limited for a cafe. I got the Garden Burger, and my friends got chocolates chip pancakes, eggs over easy with mushrooms (available as a add on side), and potato wedges with scrambled eggs with swiss cheese.(you can pick what cheese you would like). Students at SUNY Oneonta can also receive a 20% with their student discount card. Our order came out pretty quick with them shouting our names across the cafe. The issue was finding a place to sit since the cafe was so packed. The food and the drinks were pretty good. The pancakes were HUGE! And the garden burger was pretty favorable. After eating, it's polite to separate your plates and utensils from the trash, and place them in the corresponding bins located to the left of where you picked your order up from. It's just so packed and busy, the cafe doesn't really have time for someone to go around to pick up after you. A little while after eating we also visited the little bookstore connected to the cafe. It was pretty nice with a lot of great books, and unique trinkets. Overall it was a good experience, just would have been nicer with more tables. read more

3.5 stars for Latte Lounge. I was cursed/blessed with a layover in Oneonta during my Trailsway bus adventure from Cooperstown to Albany. Found Latte Lounge while exploring the quaint Oneonta Main St. There's plenty of seating at LL. The coffee wasn't the best I've had, and nor were the pastries the tastiest, but were fine for the purposes of a quick breakfast. I will say that walking by all the other nearby coffeeshops, LL was the cutest haha. read more

I am a big fan of Latte Lounge for its comfortable seating, warm atmosphere, and the fantastic owners and staff whom I've developed a special place in my heart for ( * pounds heart twice*). I love the union between Latte and the Green Toad Bookstore and the renovations to Latte look fabulous. The hours are just about perfect too. It makes me sad to only give it 3 stars, but the truth is... Latte Lounge's coffee is just average, at best. I always order the Viennese, which is the fullest in body. My lover actually refuses to drink the coffee at Latte in protest! He knows that it can be better and why the heck not? He opts to cross the street to better coffee and less comfort. The food is decent, but not anything too special - soups, bagels, some specialty spreads, sandwiches. The muffins are pretty darned good...and big enough to save 1/3 for an afternoon snack. Also, there are quite a few plugs to keep your computer charged...that's a perk worth mentioning. read more

Latte Lounge is one of my favorite places to go in downtown Oneonta. Its a big shop with tall ceilings and lots of seating. Its pretty quiet and chill other than the breakfast and lunch rush. The staff is really friendly. They have a food menu and a drink menu, both of which offer many wonderful options. Options for both breakfast and lunch. There are also a bunch of yummy homemade desserts to choose from. They even opened a secondary drive-thru location that includes an ice cream menu and has super friendly service just like the Main St location. read more

I stopped in here for a quick lunch on a Friday a few weeks back. The place has a nice layout and it was fairly busy, which is always a good sign. I got a turkey sandwich and a coffee and both were pretty good, but nothing to rave about. They offer a variety of different breads for their sandwiches (and also making it into a bagel sandwich), which is nice too. It's a fairly average cafe that makes decent food and coffee. I'd stop in again if I wanted to grab a quick lunch, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back. read more

I am truly happy we seen this place on yelp... a very good healthy place with some great coffee... and for a decent price. Hanna took our order and recommended some really good stuff.. I didn't want breakfast so I decided to pick a half sandwich and salad.. the cheddar and turkey sandwich with a garden salad with tuna salad on it.The presentation was great... my plate looked so nice I didn't want to eat it. I've refrained from the CC and Lox since my last review and must say that everything else that I've had on the menu has been fabulous. I have been going to latte lounge since my freshman year of college. I am now a senior, and over the past years I have NEVER had such a terrible customer service experience. Part of me almost thinks the application says "can you be completely unpersonable and rude to customers?" and if the applicant chooses no, they won't get hired. I constantly feel as though, as a customer, I am immediately a burden when I walk through the door. I haven't stopped going because I do genuinely enjoy the food, however the service is just so unacceptable that it is beginning to turn me away. read more

They are great. I recommend the chicken curry wrap and the hummus salad. I personally think their coffee is really strong, but I'm probably just not used to it.
