Loved it! Went it for breakfast and ordered the Hunter's special. Portion and price was well worth it! You order at the front then seat yourself, they bring the food to you. Potatoes were well seasoned, sausage was amazing and bacon was crisp to perfection (we didn't ask.) Loved that the plate included a bagel and drink. Order a simple bagel with cream cheese and coffee if you can deliver that simple flavor you need to check your quality of ingredients the bagel was chewy not what is expected out of a "bagel company" the name is BAGEL! Coffee came in with cheap creamers and sugar on the side the creamers were curled as soon as put on the coffee for $4 a pop the least you can do is make the coffee in premises and not use regular scotch tape to seal the cup ewww unsanitary, there is something about small business from the good old block that just simply can't find in this staple of the main on Oneonta ....sad and hungry I will try the next coffee place for my breakfast cause this $12 went to the garbage... try again whoever reopen this place you need to pay attention to the main item in your menu, cause if you can find a good bagel in a bagel company then where? I could just go down to the store and buy a whole pack of mediocre bagel for the price you charge for yours... never again. A sub-par bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. Relatively cheap and the staff is nice. Service is slow, seems like there could be a more efficient way... then again I compare every shop to Bruegger's. This was always my go-to bagel place in oneonta. The bagels are fresh but also cheap.$2.00 for a perfectly toasted everything bagel with regular cream cheese. I would always go here instead of getting Panera bagels cause I felt like the bagels here are softer and tastier! Location is also more convenient Very friendly staff. The cashier works quickly. The place has weird art pieces hanging on the wall by local artists that I think you can purchase if you're into it. The oneonta bagel company is really affordable good food and quick service! They have at least 7 different brews of coffee all fresh brewed. Love there egg and cheese bagels and french toast. They also have really good lunch sandwiches and wraps! Although my favorite is there egg and cheese bagels. There are no waitress or waiters it is quick service. So of course it is no frills. The employess are always very nice and willing to help you in any way. They also almost always have really good cheap specials. So if you are ever in Ononta, NY. Stop by the Oneonta Bagel Co. Good food and good specials bring me back to the Bagel Company a few times a semester when I have free time in the morning. The hash and eggs are particularly good, but everything is decent traditional breakfast fare. For somewhere called the Bagel Company, though, I would expect them to focus more on their bagels and less on breakfast specials. First off, let me say I'm from New York City, and my dad owned a bagel shop when I was little. I know a thing or two about bagels. The bagels here are very ok. They aren't made in house and are merely frozen bake-offs. This isn't the end of the world, considering really good bagels are becoming harder and harder to find even in NYC these days. What really kills me about this place is the service. Between the crappy attitudes (save a few employees), and the consistently inconsistent wait times and order accuracy, I really don't know why I keep going back.... We use to love coming in here all the time for the quality bagels. We would go while we went to school at SUCO for a great sandwich in the morning. The past year has been an absolute headache and disappointment. Every time we order, something is wrong. Cheese is burnt on the sandwich, they don't put cheese or bacon on a bacon/egg/cheese sandwich, and that's only some of the issues we came across. We still wanted to go though cause we knew like every once in a while they did make a great egg sandwich. Recently I went to pick up my usual order of 2 bacon/egg/and cheese sandwich. 1)was charged for an egg because apparently now they only do one egg in the sandwich 2)took it to go and found out they put no bacon in it 3) had to come back 3 days later because they were closed all weekend with the egg sandwiches to get a refund. When my fiancé went to return the bagels with receipt they tried to only give him money back for the bacon even though we brought the sandwiches back "apparently at first he didn't realize we had the sandwiches there" but was fighting with my fiancé even though we were already told we could get the refund. Doesn't look like much as you approach and enter, but one should never judge a book by its cover. The girl working the register was friendly and welcoming - extremely pleasant and efficient. There is such a range of bagels, spreads, and cream cheeses I guarantee there is a combo for everyone. I was pleased with my French toast bagel - not overly sweet, the maple cream cheese was a good accompaniment- though it does have nuts in it which wasn't clear from signage - so allergy alert there. I went in on a slow weekday morning and left with one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever tried. I know I might sound like I am exaggerating, but after having hundreds in my lifetime this one really stood out. The quality of the ingredients and care that went into making it could really be tasted. Friendly cashier, wide drink selection, and lots of room to sit down if dining in.
