Tony's special sandwich $12.75 turkey mortadella provolone salami plus the works toasted..... yummm !
    Whallen F.

Nick's is a hidden gem right across the BART fee parking lot on Park street. Public parking is kinda hit and miss but well worth a few steps to Nick's . Thus place is super clean with easy to read menus in the wall. We ordered the Tonys sandwich which was turkey mortadella salami on a Dutch crunch with all the works . I had it toasted which gave it a nice crisp crunch on the outside and soft on the inside instead of ham I substituted extra turkey and mortadella .. With each bite I could taste all the meats in their juicy form . Oh man , this was a delish sandwich ! The other sandwich was the Cali club $12.00 with turkey, bacon , and all the works , this too was terrific . I was pretty full after one sandwich well worth the price $12.25.This is a bargain and I'll be back for another ! Give this local family run place a chance ! Thanks Elise !

Custom sandwich. Highly recommend. Check out my review if you want to know what's in it

I ordered a fully custom Dutch Crunch sandwich, and they absolutely nailed it. I stacked it heavy with equal parts turkey and ham, bacon, avocado, pepper jack cheese, mayo, mustard, their stinky sauce (garlic olive oil spread), plus lettuce, tomato, onions, pepperoncinis, and jalapeños. This thing was loaded. The lady working the counter was super friendly and actually paused to double-check every ingredient with me to make sure they built it exactly the way I wanted. That kind of attention shows. The end result was a powerhouse. The Dutch Crunch was perfect, the meats were thick and balanced, and that garlic spread smacks. Every bite had flavor, heat, and real weight to it. This is how a custom sandwich should be made. Total knockout.

The Tony: salami, mortadella, ham, provolone on dutch crunch! Plus: Cool Ranch Doritos... and A SUNKIST! Yes!

It's very clear that this place is a local favourite here in Concord…read more The ambiance and service are very welcoming. Staff is very friendly and the place has an older school burger place vibe. Staff is also helpful with orders, especially since it's my first time here. I like that they offer 2 menus for vegans and the other for everyone else. This helps for folks who can't eat red meat or meat in general! I ordered a ghost reaper fried chicken slider, beyond roasted chile slider and cajun fries. I also got a side of ranch. The fried chicken slider was delicious. Spicy but not too spicy that it takes away from the flavour of the slider. The plant based slider is extremely tasty. Nice char flavour and it's wonderful since I can't eat beef anymore that this slider tasted this good. Cajun fries are very tasty. They're crispy and very flavourful. The ranch is not the normal ranch at restaurants which I really like. It's not as sweet and is definitely more herbaceous. My only regret is not ordering 3 sliders lol. Bringing friends back to eat here. I don't see many places that are like this open!

Homey and a bit sticky, but welcoming regardless. Staff are fast and attentive. Some favorites: - CALI SLIDER (HUGE chunks of avocado and thick chicken portions) - FRIED FISH SLIDER (like an elevated Filet-o-Fish LMAO) - CK BEYOND SLIDER (grilled to perfection! Amazing veg option!) - CLASSIC FRIES (CRISPY AF. Goddamn do these have good crunch) NOTE: The chicken is a bit of a hit or miss some days. First and latest time I tried them-- super juicy. The other times-- a little dry? Otherwise a solid burger~

I reached out immediately and said let's meet for lunch at Veggie Today. So glad we did- we both really enjoyed our lunches. We ordered off the lunch menu for $8.95 that includes white or brown rice. My friend had the Mongolian beef and I had the lemongrass beef. We both agreed we would happily go eat here all the time. So glad this restaurant is back on my radar. The restaurant was clean and cozy. We went after the lunch rush and were able to sit and visit without feeling we were in the way. Most of the parking on the street is either 60 min or 90 min. The parking structure across the street doesn't have the time restrictions

The restaurant is super cute and clean and the servers are so kind and welcoming. We got 4 dishes: Plant-Based Drumstick as an appetizer. They were chewy, crispy, well seasoned and the sauce was tangy and sweet. Fried rice. Honestly I'm a huge fan of fried rice and this fried rice might be my new favorite beating out even fried rice that I love that isn't vegetarian. It was chewy, super flavorful, veggies were perfectly cooked. It was just perfect. Caramelized chicken. This dish was good. The imitation chicken was chewy and tender with crisp caramelized edges. The sauce was sweet and it was balanced out by the veggies and spinach served with it. Bamboo soup. It was so delicious and simple but the broth was so umami and savory. The veggies were so fresh and so well prepared. This is definitely a new favorite spot for us. Looking forward to going back.

There were so many protein and side options. I ended up going with the chicken breast plate and added buffalo sauce. It was delicious! My mom and sister also enjoyed their steak plates, but wished the veggies were cooked a little longer. I will definitely be back!

I ordered the beef and mushroom braise, and when it arrived there were literally only two small pieces of beef in the entire bowl. I mentioned it to our server, and she was kind enough to bring out another bowl, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, that didn't solve the problem. The beef itself was extremely tough and chewy--nothing like a properly braised stew. It was honestly one of the worst braised beef stews I've ever had. We also ordered plain corn on the cob for our toddler, but it came out with an orange seasoning on it instead of being plain as requested. That was frustrating since it was specifically ordered for a young child. I've always had consistently good experiences at the Pasadena location, so this visit was especially surprising. Based on this experience, I won't be returning to the Pleasant Hill location.

I'm a lover, big time. Sure, the items available are definitely not cheap. My salad was $18, but chock full of high-quality ingredients. So scrumptious/fresh-smelling. There is an up charge if you want to add protein, of course. I got a seasonal selection. The Alice Waters' Peach & Goat Cheese Salad. Comes with lemon-tarragon dressing. It's tangy and very tasty. The bowl that you pay for is sizable, and you might not finish the whole thing in one sitting. But it's easy to put in the fridge to be stored/ enjoyed later. I've been a Sweetgreen customer since the original Mountain View location opened roughly 15 years…read moreago. Today was the worst customer service experience I've ever had at any Sweetgreen. I specifically requested a bowl for dine in because I strongly dislike eating out of the compostable cardboard containers. They affect the taste and overall dining experience for me. When I asked for a bowl, I was told none were available. The problem was that I could clearly see bowls in the restaurant. I was told they were "dirty" and unavailable. I also observed bowls being used for wrap preparation. I pointed out that there were other bowls visible, including plastic and porcelain bowls, but Store Manager Julia repeatedly cited "store policy" and offered no solution whatsoever. What was most disappointing was the complete lack of effort to accommodate a loyal customer. No attempt to wash a bowl. No alternative suggestion. No effort to find a manager-level solution. Just a flat "no." As a result, my wife ate her salad, my daughter ate her wrap, and I sat there watching because I refused to eat from the cardboard container. I've happily supported Sweetgreen for over 15 years, but after today's experience, that relationship is over. Other fast-casual restaurants like MIXT and Tender Greens have no issue providing proper dine-in bowls and plates when customers request them. The issue wasn't the bowl. It was the attitude, the unwillingness to help, and a manager who seemed more interested in hiding behind policy than solving a customer problem. After 15 years as a customer, I expected better. UPDATE: Sweetgreen responded with a generic, copy-and-paste apology that did not address any of the questions raised in this review. Specifically: * Does Sweetgreen provide dine in bowls or not? * Why are dine in bowls prominently featured in Sweetgreen's advertising and app if customers cannot use them? * Why was no attempt made to wash a bowl or otherwise accommodate a dine in customer? * Was Store Manager Julia correctly applying Sweetgreen policy, or was this simply poor customer service? I am still waiting for an answer.
