If you had blindfolded me and handed me a tray from this place, I would've been checking Yelp afterward to make sure it was actually vegan. That's how convincing and delicious everything is. I'm always hunting down cruelty-free comfort food and this spot is one of my absolute favorite burger joints. The fact that everything on the menu is 100% vegan makes my animal-loving heart ridiculously happy. The Chicken Sandwiches are my husband's favorite. Crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. The texture is so spot-on that it could fool even skeptical meat-eaters. The breading had a satisfying crunch, and every bite delivered that classic comfort-food goodness. My go-to is the BBQ Burger! It's sooooo yummy! It's smoky, saucy, and is messy in all the right ways. The sweet-and-savory BBQ flavor paired perfectly with the hearty plant-based patty. The service was friendly and efficient. This restaurant has constantly disappointed me. I go on a weekly basis and the last 3-4 order experiences have been terrible. One week you did not have the Breakfast burrito, and no one in the store seemed to know why. My latest experience was June 14 at the drive through. I placed my order got to the drive though and no one responded on the speaker, I finally drove forward & called for about 2-3 more minutes before the cashier came to the window. I told him my order, he stepped away for a few minutes and said " our chef just left and its not made"?? Huh? The guy at the window was very nice and he offered to make my order for me, but of course that took an additional 15 minutes. IN the meantime, 2 vehicles drove up and no one ever spoke to them. This store is SOOOO badly managed is unbelievable! Constant problems, unprofessional service. The food is good but I am just about done with supporting such a badly run establishment. Stopped by for early Friday dinner and it wasn't too busy. I ordered at the kiosk and got the mainlander burger (teriyaki burger) and a strawberry milkshake. My partner got the BBQ ranch burger. It took awhile for the burgers to come out despite the place being fairly empty. But they came out piping hot. I even burned the roof of my mouth when I bit into the patty. I would say this place reminds me of a vegan version of the Habit. Prices are alright. Not the cheapest but the burgers are pretty packed. $12-13/burger. The best part was actually the strawberry milkshake. So fresh and not overwhelming with fake strawberry taste. They do give a paper straw which becomes pretty useless and wilty after several minutes. As it says in the name, it's a nice burger! We stopped in on our way back to the airport, and it was really nice to be able to get a tasty vegan burger! My husband and I both got their fried chicken sandwiches, and I got fries with mine. The fries were just okay, but the sandwich was tasty and satisfying for both of us. The location was clean and well kept when we were there, and as we were there between lunch and dinner, there weren't many other diners, so that was pleasant. The workers are friendly but not super interactive (you order via kiosk), so that can be a plus if you're not feeling chatty. It's not the most convenient location for non-locals (it would be so nice to have this within walking distance of Disneyland or other area attractions for tourists/visitors like us), but I imagine it's great for the local folks. We were in the area for my husband's work conference, and we don't travel to this area for much else, so I don't anticipate being back, but if we do, I would probably try to work in a stop here. I have been craving burgers for so long and as someone who doesn't eat beef or pork it's hard to find a good spot. I've been looking for a vegan burger place for a while and this is the place. Went here on Sunday and there was no wait. I got the Nice Burger (minus mayo and cheese) and it was fantastic. My boyfriend still eats meat and said the burger was amazing and tasted similar to beef burgers. We also ordered the fries and they were great as well. We did dine in and the tables were so cute and had that classic diner vibe to it. There is also a drive through option. The service was nice and we were able to order from a kiosk at the front and take our time looking at the options. absolutely obsessed with nice burger but specifically this location because of its hours. it's hard to find a good plant based burger conveniently, so i'm happy to have this one on my roster. it's convenient when you're hungry late at night since they're open later than any other locations i've seen. despite living closer to the irvine one, this is why i always go to the santa ana one. it's usually not too busy if you come later in the evening, but you do risk them running out of certain items (ahem, chicken nugs). the workers are always very friendly and quick to get you your order. i love to order their "chicken" nuggets (when they still have them) and their mexicali burger. i did switch up my order recently and tried the bbq bacon cheeseburger though and it was just as delicious. my boyfriend really likes their spicy chicken sandwiches, so it's easily become a late-night meal staple option. i also like that they have a drive thru. we usually go in to order or we will place it ahead of time so that it's ready by the time we get there, but sometimes when i have gone after work, the drive thru is a great option. i won't lie, it can definitely pile on the wallet but it's worth knowing i can eat anything on the menu--and they have a LOT on the menu. overall, it's definitely a favorite plant-based burger spot of mine! read more

Love when a fast food place has a drive-thru. Breakfast burritos/sandwiches, burgers, chicken tenders, fish sandwiches, milkshakes...all of it is vegan! We typically order two items: one for now and then the 2nd for the next meal because the craving is no joke. The burgers can be cut in half for just one meal with their side of fries or tater tots. Just thinking of any burger makes my mouth salivate. Warning: the cost is astronomical. Staff is decent most of the time. A few times read back the wrong order or gave us the incorrect food/drink. Big downside at this Nice Burger is their tapioca straw will crack and renders it utterly useless; they should rethink it but need to test it themselves before execution. Sometimes it's entertaining when you're first in the drive-thru because you might witness some action across the street. read more

I'm so grateful for this 100% vegan food stop since I was coming down the coast from a roadtrip! The service is on point. I didn't know what I wanted, the cashier was patient and pointed out the best sellers. Despite it being on the pricier side, it's worth it for the taste and quality of each item. I ordered the Orig Nice Burger, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, tater tots and a shake! There is a drive thru which is convenient but I needed to stretch my legs, inside was clean and not busy, I came on a weekday around 7pm. Having been wanting to visit this restaurant for some time, I was excited when hubby and I finally got a chance to stop by. Upon driving up, I was impressed by the large "Nice Burger" sign as well as the 100% Vegan noted under the sign. Although they also offer drive-thru, we decided to do dine in for our first visit. As we entered the restaurant, we were warmly greeted by employees and asked if we had any questions. Hubby asked about whether their meat contained nuts (since hubby has severe nut allergy) and was told that they Beyond burger. After utilizing their self serve kiosk, I ordered a combo with their breakfast burger, animal style fries, and a soda while hubby ordered a combo with their grilled shroom burger and chili cheese tater tots. Our food was quickly delivered to our table by an employee who regularly checked if the food was satisfactory. The burgers were hot and delicious and the fries were crispy and cheesy. The overall restaurant atmosphere is chill with the combination of smoothies Jazz playing in the background along with a big screen TV showing a display of a comfortable room with a fireplace. It is fried with Rice Bran oil. This burger is similar to Big Mac. 1 - Grandma's Famous Organic Carrot Cake - It was good flavor and sweetness was perfect. Our first vegan protein was BEYOND brand was over 5 years ago. If you love Beyond patties, you will love these burgers. They also have Gardein burgers as well. Gluten free burgers are available at this restaurant. Check their website. Overall, the food was okay because we are not used to Beyond texture taste. The first couple bites taste really good, but meat overtook the flavor of the burger. We personally like Impossible burger more. I'm not a vegan, but found Nice Burger while in the neighborhood and gave them a try. I most love the tots with their version of an animal style sauce inspired by In-N-Out and all the flavors were there, plus the tots were crispy on the outside and soft/hot on the inside. My buffalo ranch sandwich was pretty good. I didn't experience much spiciness and felt the sandwich could have had more crunch. The chicken wings were nice, tender, and savory. The two workers were running the lobby, drive thru, and still managed to check in with us to see how we were doing. The entire menu is vegan with a wide selection of burgers, chicken sandos, fish sando, and some tenders and nuggets. They do make all of there ingredients and sauces so no its not Beyond or Impossible! The burger patties and all the vegan meats in general are super tasty and taste like the real thing! The texture and flavor profile are spot on! The workers are also super friendly and chill if you have any questions or concerns. They do have a few locations throughout OC too if you're looking for a closer location. The favorites so far have been the chicken nuggets and cali burger. The Cali Burger really taste like an Big Mac ish type of burger! The thousand island sauce on there is delicious but even more creamy with the guac and crispy vegan bacon so good! Oh and note there side orders of fries are HUGE! They are super generous on the portion sizes and cook them well so they are super crispy! Perfect for sharing! This used to be my go to vegan burger spot in OC, with many great experiences previously (food and service), however in the last several months I've had poor experiences with both. There's an older Mexican lady, younger Mexican girl and younger Mexican guy and they look/could be related. They always seem to be working the same shift and that's when all the issues I have had seem to occur. A long time ago an Asian guy (owner?) worked at the same time but rarely were there issues. However when these three are on their own (which is often), it's like they're just killing time for a paycheck and couldn't be bothered to be friendly, or pay attention to what they're supposed to do. They make mistakes often (particularly the young Mexican guy) and they act annoyed when you bring it up to correct it. I've gotten chicken tenders that you can see the fingerprints on like they just squeezed some play doh - disgusting. They also don't know how to process a refund after they've messed up, so I'm just supposed to eat the cost of the mistake? This could be avoided if they just confirmed the order at the window prior to payment, but I guess that's too much extra to do. I was always tipping before because I wanted to support a vegan business but I realized I'm just paying more for non-vegans to make crappy food and make mistakes and since my tips don't go to the business, that ends today. If I were a vegan business owner, I'd be pissed to know that my non-vegan slacker employees were running it into the ground. It hurts to avoid supporting a vegan business but this is what it may have to result in. *ATTENTION: Nice Burger Owners, PLEASE deal with these employees if you because your quality and service is suffering badly! read more

I have been here multiple times and it is scrumptious! Every time I go I get the Spicy Chicken sandwich. The vegan chicken and chipotle mayo are delicious! The last vegan chicken sandwich I had that was this good was Native Foods, which sadly closed all their CA locations! They also have a great chocolate milkshake! But I had to leave this review after trying the bbq bacon cheeseburger. I haven't gotten any of their burgers because that's just more common and that spicy chicken is just so darn good, but danged if that burger didn't beat all! It was fantastic! Even the vegan cheese, which I normally hate. The place is pricy and a little slow, but jt is worth it for both. There is quite a big selection of items to choose from in addition to the burgers, particularly "chicken". One thing I was a bit disappointed with is that none of the vegan burger options are the traditional "veggie burger" selections rather they are all the processed vegan meat products which I do not particularly care for, but if you are fine with those, then the selection and preparation of them here are excellent.
