I was looking for a shop at least to take a look at my car, but after trying hard for 3 weeks, I didn't find anyone. One of my friends recommended Chau's to me. I called explained the situation. First, Dennis hesitated as it might not be worth repairing. I begged him to at least take a look at the photos. He agreed. After sending him photos by email, he responded within an hour that he thought it would be worth repairing but he would have to find out whether the parts were available. He asked me to give him some time to find out. Two days later, he contacted me that he had found all the necessary parts and that he gave me an estimate of repair price. The repair price was so close to the insurance company's quote, which most repair shops had told me that it was impossible. Since my friend recommended Chau's, I decided to let Chau's do it. Dennis kept me informed the status of the repair, and the repair was done within the time he had promised. When I went to pick up the car, I was surprised and delighted to find it like brand new condition. The body work was pretty, and all the mechanic issues were fixed. The price was still the same as quoted. I am very happy and satisfied. I would highly recommend Chau's.

My major gripe is they left grease and dirt marks all over the headliner and ripped the center console cover, expected better care to be taken, will likely look for another shop for any future repairs needed.

Peter did a really good with the job at a reasonable time with fair pricing compared to other businesses. Another thing to add was that I had several dash lights left on due to replacing the brake pads and rotors on my own. Peter went through and cleared/fixed the VSA/brake issues so now that my dashboard isn't lit up like a Christmas tree! The service requested was a rack and pinion job as well as getting the engine bay cleaned so it would be easier to spot leaks in the future. Oh...and now the same issue is coming back intermittently again. Last week I took my car the Walker Renton Service to look at a battery issue. When the service rep called me I was told the battery was fine. Which made no sense since since the battery died out of no where. When I asked what I should do next I was told to use a battery trickle charger. When I asked why, I was told that because my wife put only 6000 miles on the vehicle in 18 months that the car needed to be on a charger. Again I pressed why and I was told because there is so much technology in the car and the "miles" driven was too low and that a trickle charger would keep the battery charged. My wife drives the car three to four times a week....we should never have to worry about a trickle charger. We have never had to..ever...on any other car. My comment back was that apparently Mazda builds a car that is sub par compared to a Kia, Hyundai, 4 GM SUVs, two Mercedes and two Cadillac V Series cars that my family has had in the past 10 years. The next day another service rep tried to tell me the same thing to which I told him to stop...it's the stupidest concept ever and they have lost all credibility. I texted the service manager and she never responded to me and I was told by the sales manager and a service tech they would have her call. I never heard from her nor the sales manager again. I took the car back to the original dealer I bought the car from and they purchased it back with zero issues for what we owed. In and out in 10 minutes. Walker Renton is just TERRIBLE!

Each time, I was assured the problem was taken care of--and each time, I left with the exact same mess. At this point, I'm seriously wondering if this shop ever actually replaced the brake pads after the first time, since there's never been any evidence that they did. Rommel is full of promises but short on results. He either doesn't know what he's doing or simply doesn't care--and I'm honestly not sure which is worse. When he had the audacity to ask me to bring my car in a FOURTH TIME (seriously?), I instead asked him for a refund of the $604 I had initially paid him. He refused, claiming, "That wouldn't be fair." I'D LOVE TO KNOW WHAT'S FAIR ABOUT A 74-YEAR-OLD WOMAN HAVING TO CLEAN SOLID BLACK BRAKE DUST OFF HER FRONT WHEELS (WEEKLY!) FOR 2.5 YEARS--ALL THANKS TO THE CHEAP BRAKE PADS ROMMEL USED, WHICH HE (quite laughably) PROMISED ME WERE "BETTER THAN ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT." My recent plan was to take this unethical "businessman" (I use that term lightly) to Small Claims Court, but I realized that (Rommel being Rommel) the likelihood of him showing up was pretty much nil.
