I don't know if these prices are standard around here, but coming from San Francisco, this felt like an incredible value -- especially those crabs . The staff was also genuinely nice and welcoming. I greatly appreciated how they had so much protein. I find a common trend in Vietnamese restaurants that they will skimp on the protein, and in exchange, provide a lot of white rice. To each their own, but I prefer a good balance of both. I haven't tried other dishes, but they have a large menu and I'm curious if their other dishes are just as good. I saw that they make hu tieu kho as a secret menu item that they make and I find that it's pretty rare in Boston, so I'd love to try that one day.

I ordered…read morebún đậu mắm tôm, which is supposed to come with rice paper and rice noodles so you can wrap the ingredients and eat them like spring rolls. However, my order only included tofu, meat, chả, and vegetables. The rice paper and noodles were missing. When I called the restaurant to ask about the missing items, I was told that I needed to call ahead and specifically request them; otherwise, they would not be included. I found this explanation misleading and frustrating. These items are an essential part of the dish, and customers should not have to know to request them separately if they are normally supposed to come with the meal. Not everyone is familiar with Vietnamese food, so customers who don't know what the dish is supposed to include may never realize that part of their order is missing. The restaurant should clearly indicate on the menu if certain ingredients are not included or require an additional request. I shouldn't have to call the restaurant in advance just to make sure I receive the full meal I ordered. I hope the restaurant improves its communication and makes sure customers receive everything they expect when placing an order through Uber Eats. My go-to order is banh mi thit heo nuong (grilled barbecue pork) with pate. Their pre-prepared foods are also excellent, such as their baked goods, banh cuon (rice rolls), goi cuon (spring rolls), cha gio (fried egg rolls), and mi xao (stir-fried noodles). I also love their drinks - my favorite is their nuoc mia (fresh sugarcane juice), and you can't go wrong with a Vietnamese coffee. The downside for us was the matcha flavor didn't come thru at all on either iteration of the drinks, not sure if it is a ratio deal? Matcha stock deal? Or just an off day we did come near closing. It's rich, nutty, slightly savory, and perfectly balanced without needing any extra sweetness. And just to clarify, that beautiful caramel color you see is NOT caramel! It's the espresso shot. I specifically wanted a drink that wasn't too sweet, and this was perfection. My only recommendation?
