The technician spent a couple of hours diagnosing the issue and was thorough and communicative. The technician on site was not 100% conversant in English but it was important to him that I understood the problem and he did an admirable job explaining it. Then Alex called me to explain it again and his explanation was consistent with the technician's. He emailed me a detailed description of the problem along with a proposed solution and clear pricing. I paid the $200 diagnostic fee via Zelle. Unfortunately, my boiler needed several new parts in order to be safe to operate (news to me as I had just had a maintenance visit from another provider 3 month prior). The technician was emphatic that I not run the system until the problem was corrected. I understand that the team drove out of state to retrieve the necessary parts for me so that my family would not be without heat overnight. They returned the same day and installed the parts. Again, I paid the sizable but reasonable repair cost via Zelle. The team was careful to explain to me that this safety/pressure problem was not the reason for the noisy pipes! So, they fixed the dangerous issue but still needed to do a valve replacement. They came the next day to replace the valve and found that a more involved job would be necessary because of the age and condition of the radiator battery in my bedroom. But, they explained that they could not do the extensive work in the cold weather because of a risk to the pipes and a possibility that we would be without heat for an extended period of time. They replaced what they could and said they would do a more complete job in the spring when the weather is warmer. So, my pipes are still noisy and I spent a lot of money but at least my boiler is safe to operate. Assuming that they are able to complete the repair job in the spring at a reasonable cost and with the same timeliness that I have experienced so far, I will be happy to continue working with them. It is refreshing to deal with a repair company that handles client communication in such a professional manner. Everyone was careful about wet shoes and mess and all of that, which was also welcome.

Ice Age Mechanical - They did a great job hiding all the wires and drains and tucked it up nicely against our sloped ceiling.

However, now two units are not functioning properly and they do not respond to messages to set up a service call. Concerned that they do not seem to stand by their work. So keep this in mind if you are looking to have a system installed!

We have just had 2 mini splits put into our 1 bedroom apt. We met with Victor and Johnathan to go…read moreover the installation and have them send an estimate. They promptly sent the estimate that evening! We set up our date a couple weeks later and they never changed or cancelled our appt (which I thought was amazing!) Johnathan arrive promptly at the time he said and the guys started the install. The 2 men who did the install were great! I think they actually work for Ice age and not contracted out. The 2 guys who did the repair did a very nice job and everything looks great. My only complaint would be the plumber who came to cap the gas, I feel as though there should be more communication with the client and vendors and more explanation on exactly what needs to happen. The plumber did not turn our gas back on so now we are having to spend additional money to have the gas put back on for our tenant. We called him, texted him and sent email to Ice Age and no help yet! Overall I would recommend ice age,but I would be hesitant to trust the contracted plumber they use. I have this plumbers info if anyone wants to reach out to me to check if it's the same company ice age is planning on using for your future job. I also have lots of before and after pics of the nice work that was done.

During the site visit, they took care to keep themselves and the house clean and safe. They didn't push a particular type of system and were happy to answer all of our questions about the pros and cons of the different systems available. They provided an estimate with different configurations that they felt would work well at different budget levels, and ultimately we chose to work with Mac Air for this project. Price was agreed and deposit accepted through quickbooks e check (which is pretty much just entering your account number and sort code, so really easy to do). The project was scheduled and because the equipment could be collected sooner than expected, it was brought forward by a week. The equipment then delivered on a Monday, and by the end of Wednesday, the system was running. Every evening, they team ensured the areas they worked in were clean, tidy and safe, and the project was completed on Thursday. We had discussions about renewable energy and making use of smart technology and how to ensure the system stays efficient throughout all weather conditions, and also what options I'd have for replacing our final gas appliance. They even pre-wired for a heat pump hot water heater for free to make the installation easier for whoever ends up performing the installation. Although I'd go with Mac Air for it when we're ready. In all, I'd definitely recommend working with Mac Air to anyone that needs HVAC service.
