I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and friendly environment. My room was spacious and spotless. They cleaned the room everyday and were willing to work around my schedule to do so. The shower and bathroom sink could have better water pressure but that's not a deal breaker. They offer a nice continental breakfast every morning with plenty of coffee. The poolside bar is very nice. Jeff in particular is engaging and friendly. The bar stays open till 4. The pool and hot tub are both sparkling all day long. Many locals and others staying at different hotels frequent the pool area. I'll never stay anywhere else when I visit.

Staying in the heart of Duval Street can be checked off of my bucket list fortunately with the help of the New Orleans House. Like any hotel, there are pros and cons, and since you're reading this, I'm about to walk you through them. Pros: 1. Location, location, location. Honestly, I don't think the location could be any better than it is. 2. For guest there is a daily free happy hour in the garden bar from 5:30-7p. 3. Free breakfast in the morning featuring bagels, breakfast sandwiches, and cereals. 4. Discounted parking ($10 per day) for guests at the lot across the street. 5. Guests pay no cover charges at 801 Bourbon and the Bourbon Street saloon as well as receiving free entry to 801 Bourbon's drag shows. 6. Free wifi (also a con because I had trouble working it). 7. In-room fridges. 8. An a/c that worked well. 9. Two large sundecks. Neutral: 1. The gym was nice, but oddly located right off of the lobby and didn't have much equipment. 2. The wifi situation. 3. They lock the lobby at night which makes sense, but if you're staying in a room that faces Duval Street, to get to the garden bar/pool area, you have to leave the hotel and walk either through the bar or around the entire building to enter at night. 4. The hotel at night was not quiet based on the fact that it's sitting on top of a bar, but fortunately the a/c was loud enough to drown most of the noise out. Cons: 1. Not great shower pressure in the bathroom. 2. The bed was not very comfortable. 3. The building itself is pretty outdated. They do well with what they have, but it could use a slight makeover. 4. The layout is a odd. 5. The pool chairs are rundown and need to be replaced. I was a little worried my thickems body would break them. Listen, pros and cons aside, I enjoyed my stay here. Staying in a gay hotel was a lot of fun. The garden area is men only allowing it to be clothing optional if that's your taste. It's mine, so I would walk around as God intended me to be, so look if you'd like while I'm sipping on a drink in the hot tub. While it's not the most beautiful hotel or guesthouse I've been to, it truly does serve it's purpose. It's a great middle of the road hotel for those wanting this experience, but may not able to spend Island House money. For me, it was perfectly fine. I would stay here again and would recommend it to a friend. The hotel was clean, and I mean, I saw them scrubbing rooms as I walked by which truly made me happy. I'm sure I'll be back soon- and if you're a repeat guest they give you 10 percent off your next stay.

This was our first time in Key West. Glad we picked this hotel. Staff was very friendly and made great recommendations while in KW. The happy hour at the back poolside bar was great! Met quite a few people there and at the pool while there. Not to mention, it is a great location. Walking distance to a beach, the bars/drag shows, shopping and other touristy things. As an added bonus, the breakfast on the upstairs patio overlooking Duval Street was great! Saw other people comment on the club noise. Yes, you can hear it but we didn't mind as we were in the club for the most part anyway. Tip: if you're driving, be sure to call them about the parking. Parking is scarce and can be expensive. But the hotel has the hook up with a parking lot next to them. But beware, if you move your car, it fills up by around noon. We left our car parked all weekend. Looking forward to going back soon!

Pool deck filthy abs very uneven.....

This is my second, and last, visit to this hotel. The facility as a whole is in desperate need of renovation and general upkeep. The pool area is cobblestone brick that is filthy and littered with cigarette butts and broken plastic cocktail glasses. The rooms were worn and needed paint and cleaning on the woodwork. The wooden plantation shutters in my tiny room were so broken they would not close properly. The bar tending staff were rude and mean to deal with as a whole, however the front desk personnel were delightful. Housekeeping practices were fair, but the hotel was understaffed according to manager.

We had the worst stay ever! So bad that we're never gonna stay here again. The room was totally beat up. broken safe lumpy, horrible bed with terrible bedding. Pillows that were flat and felt like cardboard we Had a crazy window right at the front door, looking in from the street. Anyone could just pop their head up there and look at you while you're in bed. Very creepy and weird. Not to mention light blaring in from all of the windows booked for four nights for over $400 a night and was just absolutely awful. Not one piece of art in this room, air conditioning leaking, dripping down the walls. Place smells musty. The vinyl wood floors are scuffed up in 10 different places. Just a really plain, awful room. And not typical. Some of the other rooms are amazing, but do not book in this one for sure. We will now be looking for other accommodations in Key West. The staff offered us a discount on our future booking instead of giving some sort of concession for this terrible stay we had and not being able to sleep. They also told us we could not move rooms, that there were no other rooms available, and the place appeared to be very empty to us. We never saw more than five people at a time in the pool or common areas.

Very Disappointing -- Not Worth the Price…read more Our stay at Eden House was unfortunately very disappointing, especially considering the price. The rooms are much smaller than they appear in the pictures. The photos on the website create the impression of a more spacious and updated property, but the reality was quite different. Several of the amenities we expected to enjoy were also unavailable. Azure House restaurant was closed, the top deck was closed due to construction, and although the property advertises happy hour from 4-6 PM, the Tiki Bar never opened during our stay. That was particularly frustrating because these are amenities that influenced our decision to stay here. We also rented a golf cart and asked if we could park it in the restaurant parking area since Azure House was closed and the parking area was not being used. The hotel was not willing to accommodate this simple request, which was another disappointment and seemed unnecessarily inflexible. The front desk service was another major disappointment. Most of the staff we encountered were rude and unfriendly, which is not the kind of hospitality you expect from a hotel in Key West. There were a few pleasant employees, but unfortunately, the overall experience with the front desk was poor. Then there is the late checkout policy. Checkout is at 10 AM, and the hotel charges $25 for every additional hour. For guests with later flights, that becomes extremely expensive very quickly. Considering that several of the property's advertised amenities were unavailable, charging that much simply to remain in the room longer felt unreasonable. The location is convenient, but a good location does not make up for poor service, misleading room photos, closed amenities, construction, unnecessary inflexibility, and a lack of value for the money. We came to Key West expecting a relaxing and enjoyable stay, but Eden House fell well short of what was advertised. Based on our experience, we would not stay here again and would not recommend it to others.

We absolutely loved the location of Casa 325 but I think we loved the fact Casa 325 had a pool even more so! Between lounging in the pool for hours (I fell asleep!) and the air conditioning, we survived Florida at the end of July - oh the humidity! Our room was super cute, spacious, and clean. We had two twin beds which was perfect for our needs. There was also a small refrigerator although I'm not sure about a hair dryer. The beds were comfortable and the hotel was quite charming overall. Reasonably priced - access the best rates on hotels.com or Expedia. While I would have loved to give the coveted fifth star to Casa 325, I could not because we had some initial difficulty with the parking situation at Casa 325. Despite there being a parking lot in the back (although small), we were directed to park at a lot a couple blocks away from the hotel. With that being said, we had to pay $20 for overnight parking and I don't believe it was in and out parking but I might be wrong on that. Either way, it was frustrating to have to park a couple blocks away with all of our belongings. And, having been on the road for over three weeks, our stuff was no where near organized to be able to easily pull it out of the car and drag it to the hotel. Oh well, we survived.

First walking into the cottage it was a lot nicer and bigger than we expected. There is so much storage and room to put all of your belongings. Super big thank you to Andrea for being so accommodating, friendly and making great recommendations for the beach and restaurants. The icing on the already glorious cake is, the price!!! After…read morereading all of the prior great reviews and beautiful posted pictures, we decided to book the Master Suite for 6 nights. I was excited to see what the house had to offer. We had a late arrival (10:00pm). We were first met at the door by Nemo, the family dog. He was friendly as could be and adorable. He made me miss my puppy instantly. Capt. Steve then greeted us. He was very nice and "down to Earth". As I'm sure he could see how tired we were, he gave an efficient run down of the property and amenities. The room was better than the pictures could describe. The attention to detail was exceptional. A complimentary bottle of champagne for our honeymoon stay was to our surprise waiting for us in the room. After taking in all of the "Ooohs and Ahhs" of our exquisite room, I was now only hoping the bed would be suitable for a much needed good nights sleep. And it was and much more. The pillows were plush and sheets were soft. I was out like a light. We just missed Kayla who had flown out that evening. But left behind were two, delicious homemade Key Lime Pie slices from Kayla. The best Key Lime pie we had experienced during our stay. While at the Atlantis House you have excess to free wifi, bikes, beach chairs /umbrellas & coolers which we utilized and greatly appreciated. The house is a very short walk down to the next beach. Located just off the beaten path away from the crowds and noise, the Atlantis House is a quiet oasis of its own. Our first full day in Key West we did a lot of the usual local touring. In the evening we walked from the Atlantis House to Duval Street (Main business strip) and all the way up to the north end of the street. Needless to say when we got back to our room, we were exhausted. The room has a jacuzzi tub which is just what my wife and I needed to end the night. Also provided are lush Turkish Towels. We took part in Capt. Steve's Snorkeling trip and a Fishing Trip. We caught a few Dolphin Fish (Mahi Mahi)! An amazing time was had on both excursions. The evening after, Steve so graciously brought us some fresh King Fish dip with fresh tortillas that he had just caught which was very tasty. Afterwards we spent the afternoon pool side at the private "Florida Marina Club" as guests of Capt. Steve with a complimentary day pass. While Key West is relaxing and beautiful, what made this trip what it was, was coming back to our beautiful room at the Atlantis House each and every night. It was hard to leave this place. Close enough to downtown to walk or bike, but far enough away that it's not too noisy, The Inn on Fleming is located in a large old house with a spacious front porch. I took advantage of this feature to enjoy my morning coffee and listen to the roosters in the morning, one of the many charming quirks of Key West. Our room was large, comfortable, and clean, and the common kitchen area was kept immaculate. There is a small happy hour every afternoon on the back patio with a selection of beer, wine, soft drinks, and snacks to nibble on. The property manager was very welcoming and had great suggestions for local places to check out during our stay, as well as being a fun and interesting person to talk to when we had some downtime between all of our wanderings. One huge advantage to staying at the Inn on Fleming is the bike rental on premises. Biking culture is huge in Key West (and it's also the most convenient way to get around), and having the option to rent (for a very reasonable fee) and lock up bikes on the property proved to be key to enjoying our stay on the island.
