When we arrived, we didn't have to wait long at reception. The check-in was quick, smooth and seamless. Parking was easy as well, there is some covered parking, but that lot was typically full. There is additional parking on site as well that is uncovered and provided easy access to get to the elevator. When we entered the room, it was bright and nice and clean, and had all the signs of a good vacation! I loved most that this hotel had a small kitchenette so that we could buy some snacks and drinks for the room. There was a full setup of plates, utensils, pans, microwave, coffee station, and a DISHWASHER!! haha, it's the little things that go a long way. The bathroom was beautifully well lit, and had a huge shower with great temperature and water pressure, and had two entrances, one from the hall and one from the bedroom. As you made your way to the bedroom, you're met with a beautiful glass sliding door that leads you out onto your own private terrace overlooking the beautiful ocean! I loved that there was nothing blocking the view, and that you could see the sunrise every morning! The beds were super comfy, my son loved the robes and slippers that came in the room, so we'd cozy up every night and watch tv! We met some great vacationers in the building as well. There is a small shop in the main lobby where you can buy drinks, snacks, and microwaveable dinners. This is also close to a lot of the stores and restaurants that you could easily walk or bike to as well. Great place to stay and would certainly stay here again on my next trip back.

I have to tell you that customer service is through the roof here. They were so very accommodating. We arrived at 1 PM knowing that if there was not a room available, we would have to wait until 4 PM but as soon as we arrived, they gave us a beautiful room. The room was spacious, clean, and very relaxing and inviting. The staff text me every day to see if there was anything that they could do for us. When it started to rain, they offered us complementary rain ponchos. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel as it is obvious that they want to make a reputation for themselves for being a hotel with a high level of customer service. Thank you very much to the staff there for making our stay so comfortable.

Anything we asked for they got for us or did for us. Management would be proud of their representation of the resort. The grounds are nice and well kept. Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing from start to finish. Unfortunately, nearly…read moreevery aspect of the experience fell far below even basic expectations. To begin with, none of the elevators were working, which meant constantly walking up and down three flights of stairs, even having to carry our 50 lb luggage up three flights of steps. This was especially frustrating given that there were no phones in the room to contact the front desk, so every question or request required a physically exhausting trip. Upon check-in, we were assigned a room that was already occupied, which was both uncomfortable and concerning. Once we were finally placed in the correct room, things didn't improve. Our room was never cleaned during our stay, and the bathtub was clogged, making it difficult to use. We had to keep going to the front desk for more towels, coffee, cups, etc. Basic amenities were also lacking. There were no ice machines or ice buckets available, and we had to go all the way to the front desk just to get pool towels and ice. By the time we got back to our room, the ice was half melted. The pool area itself was poorly maintained, fruit from nearby trees was scattered across the concrete, creating a slippery hazard that caused one guest to fall. The chairs, tables, and cabanas were filthy. The hot tub was also broken, which was one of the many reasons for choosing this place. To make matters worse, maintenance crews were leaf blowing and weed whacking around the pool for over an hour, completely disrupting what should have been a relaxing environment. The pool bartender was also unpleasant and unwelcoming, which only added to the overall negative experience. The servers were awesome and were always asking if we needed anything. Between the lack of functioning elevators, cleanliness issues, safety concerns, and poor service, this stay was incredibly frustrating and not at all what we expected. We even have a picture of a security guard sleeping on the sofa in the lobby area, one night we came home. He didn't even wake up when we went inside and were talking. I would not recommend this hotel and hope management takes these issues seriously, as significant improvements are clearly needed. The front desk workers were the only pleasant and helpful employees. The amenities this hotel claims it has, is far off from the truth.

Beware of bugs in every bed!…read more I'm not even a customer that typically writes reviews, especially complaints. However, if I could give zero stars I would, this was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I was a returning customer to this facility, but never again. We visited last July (same time of year) & everything was great. Upon our return we could not have had a worse experience. This hotel should be ashamed of the staff that they employ. Rude, dismissive and unhelpful. Being a tourist destination, hospitality should be the bare minimum and this place is a poor excuse. The staff hides in the back office instead of addressing the problems at hand. All employees also divert to Michael who was apparently management, but not available after multiple attempts of visiting the front desk. At our arrival there were bugs present in every bed. When I went to the office to report the bugs I was told these conditions are normal for Florida and there is nothing they could do except for send housekeeping in and "spray" the next day. I was told that infestations happen and maybe it won't happen the next day... but there was no way for them to know. I was laughed at when confirmed by staff that their cleaning and spraying wouldn't fix the problem. The staff even stated that this is a common occurrence for their property and that nothing would be done. I was offered a $45 refund for "daily amenity fee" from their management- Michael. What a joke, we got the amenity of free bugs in our bed. When housekeeping was sent in, sheets were changed, but there were multiple bugs still present. When I addressed the problem again I was dismissed by the office staff, who proceeded to leave the front desk and sit in the back office unless he saw other customers enter on the camera. I was offered no refund or offer to change rooms. Please think twice before ruining your vacation and booking with such an atrocious establishment.

This impressive Queen Anne Victorian style house was designed as a one-bedroom mansion. He became a wrecker and with his massive fortune, built eight mansions in Key West and became Florida's first millionaire. His daughters wed wealthy men as well. One of his daughters, Florida Euphemia, married Judge Vining Harris. Interesting Fact: Electricity was a novelty and a luxury in the 1890's. Mrs. Harris wanted the best and was able to engage Thomas Edison to oversee the electrical design and installation for the house.

(Your room is only cleaned once you leave) No maintenance on staff. Pool looked fairly well maintained. On site community washer and dryer and soap.(Free) Elevator to first floor. Rooms are located in the building behind the inn. Our room had 1 broken window that didn't close (extra loud street sweeper and rooster noise due to open window.) Another window had a rotting window sill and black mold at the junction of ceiling/wall. Door was broken, but functional. There appeared to be painted over black mold on ceiling. Shower controls were reversed and rarely had hot water. Attempted to reach hotel staff via phone and was hung up on. Any emails or text messages were answered via AI response. This property has tremendous opportunity, but is not being maintained appropriately. Anyone with weakened immune systems should steer clear. Giving a 2 star based on location alone.
