Love this quaint place, but unfortunately as of November 2014, it will lose its clothing optional status under its new owner.

The property is filled with hammocks and tree swings, perfect places to drink your FREE coffee or tea from the lobby every morning. You know what I loved more than all the free beverages (lol)? The fact that we visited in the middle of summer and didn't get bit by a single mosquito! How is that even possible in Florida during summer??? They must spray & have mosquito repelling plants. Or super powers. Our room was cute and clean. We got the standard room (no upgrades) after the Hyatt screwed up our reservation and we were scrambling to find accommodations last minute. But ya know what?! This place was so much better! I can't rave enough about Eden House. We are definitely staying here when we come back!

On top of that the room is almost closet sized with an exposed shower and sink which makes it feel very humid in the room. Theres barely enough space between the bed and wall to walking into the room. The shower also hadn't been cleaned with a piece of old soap stuck to the floor and bug crawling under the pillow when i moved it.. I brought it to the attention of the man working the front desk who first told me it was a queen. The GM came on later that evening and admitted that it wasn't a queen and offered us a slightly larger rom but same size bed. Again the sink was in the room and it was stuffy and humid which made it hard to sleep more than four hours. I canceled the room after one night and tried to get my money back, but they've refused. Do not stay at this hotel. The "queen room" is basically just a hostel at hotel prices. $260 a night in my case.

We had a lovely chat with her about Key West and she invited us in for a tour. We were beyond excited to see the beautiful and elegant historic mansion that had been converted into a Bed and Breakfast that was built in 1890-91 by Frederico Marrero, a cigar maker in Key West. They have a heated pool that is open 24/7 for their guests and are just a half block from the popular Duval Street. They offer a sumptious breakfast from 8:30-10:00am and a Happy Hour from 3:30-4:30 pm. The bedrooms are so clean and exquisitely decorated with furniture to match the late 1800s. I fell in love with it and want to stay here on our next trip to Key West! It's fantastic!

The place is reputed to be haunted we were not aware of any spirits nor did we meet any. Our second floor room has a king bed and private bath with a porch overlooking the street. Plenty of room for the two of us. There is a heated salt water pool at the back of the house surrounded by palms and other trees. Extremely private and open 24 hrs. Sun lotion towels and other beach amenities are available gratis. A continental breakfast is on offer each morning and many non alcoholic drinks and munchies are complementary. You can purchase beer & wine for a nominal fee. There is no proper bar. It was perfect for a three day parachute drop into Key West. We did not rent a car as we were perfectly located within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and do. The house assistant manager Laura, was delightful and was on duty from 730am-5pm every day. After hours access was with a front door keypad lock or with a key via the back door. Before sunrise each morning we were roused from sleep by a crowing rooster. They are protected creatures here. Rate was $450/night. We say lodging "b", ambiance "a", service "a", value"b". We absolutely loved the location of Casa 325 but I think we loved the fact Casa 325 had a pool even more so! Between lounging in the pool for hours (I fell asleep!) and the air conditioning, we survived Florida at the end of July - oh the humidity! Our room was super cute, spacious, and clean. We had two twin beds which was perfect for our needs. There was also a small refrigerator although I'm not sure about a hair dryer. The beds were comfortable and the hotel was quite charming overall. Reasonably priced - access the best rates on hotels.com or Expedia. While I would have loved to give the coveted fifth star to Casa 325, I could not because we had some initial difficulty with the parking situation at Casa 325. Despite there being a parking lot in the back (although small), we were directed to park at a lot a couple blocks away from the hotel. With that being said, we had to pay $20 for overnight parking and I don't believe it was in and out parking but I might be wrong on that. Either way, it was frustrating to have to park a couple blocks away with all of our belongings. And, having been on the road for over three weeks, our stuff was no where near organized to be able to easily pull it out of the car and drag it to the hotel. Oh well, we survived.

I visited a few years back and tried various b&b's since in my yearly visits. None of the other establishments come close to the type of experience you get when staying at Atlantis.. Starting with an awesome strategic location, it is conveniently just across from the beach. The layout of the house itself is absolutely gorgeous. The sitting area outside has such beautiful design, lighting and creativity that it gives off a warm almost indoor effect. The hosts' home is located close where they still give you complete privacy but are there if you need anything, even if it's one of Kayla's famous delicious key lime pies! The house consists of 2 separate rooms, each it's own uniquely designed suites. I loved staying at both as they both have their own special theme. If you're looking for a true b&b experience with a personal touch, wonderful conversation, a gorgeous zen-like atmosphere in the perfect location, give them a try. Just remember to book well in advance as the rooms tend to go fast!
