My room in the middle of the night.

Negatives: No to room 133 or a room in a stairwell or next to elevator. No curtains on windows except big slider. See my picture from the middle of the night. Next to elevator, and could hear every time it moved. Did not provide more than one roll of toilet paper as if anyone wanted to take the ultra thin toilet paper home. On the day before we left, they did not even give a spare (only the one left on the wall). Very very slow elevators. Positives: Great location Staff friendly Many amenities Three pools: 1 at outside weather temp, 2 at around 88°. Full service at the pool side. Someone singing by the pool. Even though all of them not good, but that is most singers in KW. Hard to come across a good singer.

Going back almost a decade ago, I recall this 2 acre plot of land stood empty and then with the blink of an eye there was a building constructed overlooking the Bight Marina but it wasn't The Marker.... a short time later that building was gone and a whole new complex was constructed... THE MARKER has arrived. I read that this was the first new hotel is over 20 years and you certainly could'nt have picked a better location. Obviously, Key West has a very large number of upscale hotels from high-end to chains to bed & breakfast; but not many can brag about overlooking the active Bight Marina (with exception of the Galleon), and still only 3 blocks from Duval Street. The hotel has the architectural style you'd expect from Key West (conch style with lots of charm). The entrance is excellent with colorful sculptures and front doors (and an oversized adirondack chair in a teal blue). Enter into the front doors and welcome to the gold rail staircase leading to the lobby. The staff in the lobby were friendly and the concierge was very helpful and not pushy. SO FAR, WE ARE IMPRESSED. Once we were assigned our room, we relocated our car to the lower level parking garage. We booked a regular room (didn't bother with the pool or water views)... and to be honest, I was plenty pleased. The was another building behind us from our balcony but there was plenty of landscape and it was relaxing. Despite what I had read in other Yelp reviews (and somewhat concerning), we experienced no deficiencies in our room... very clean, comfortable bed, nice decor and personal touches... and room looked excellent and the bathroom was phenomenal (clean and stylish). STILL IMPRESSED. Outside the buildings are the pool areas... the two main pools right by each other and with a light surrounding of landscaping and some extra amenities like a bar, sunblock station and a stage for entertainment (I assume). The "other" pool is reached by going through the buildings and I found this area to look nicer and the "other" pool is and "adults only" pool. The landscaping here is fuller and very tropical with a nice sitting area and a couple outdoor sculptures (but no drink service, but you can visit the bar and bring them here yourself). The hotels also happens to be "dog friendly"... and they provided a nice little spot for the fur babies to go to the bathroom; complete with artificial turf open area with nice landscaping and a doggie bag pole... But I love the extra touch, a bright red fire hydrant to pee on. I really loved waking up and being only a block away from CUBAN COFFEE QUEEN.... grabbed coffee upon waking up each morning and Pan Cubano and enjoyed it sitting on our room's balcony. My only gripe was requesting a late check-out (only requested one hour), was responded with what seemed like a prepared response they use with all requests, "WE'LL LET YOU KNOW IN THE MORNING THAT YOU LEAVE BECAUSE WE DON'T KNOW HOW MANY ROOM REQUIRE CLEANING". In some hotels I say I understand but our room was not serviced until late afternoon each day. So why would it matter if we left the room at noon instead of 11AM. They even showed up to service our room one day at 5:00PM when we were getting to go out (we had to request they return in 30 minutes. Overall, we loved the style and decor of the hotel, loved the pool and landscaping (so tropical and relaxing), loved the location and loved that mattress.

The Marker allows locals to visit their pools (yes, plural), and my friend was privy to this spot during my recent visit to Key West. We stopped by one afternoon to enjoy the DJ set, some tasty drinks from their poolside bar, and of course, the pool itself. Most patrons were very friendly, and at first we weren't able to locate free chairs, until a couple got up and let us know they were leaving, which was really kind of them. We stayed for at least a couple of hours. I ordered a raspberry lemonade frozen drink that was so good and refreshing. We visited in mid-May and the pool temperature felt like bath water to me. Apparently, in the summer they do chill their pool though. I previously didn't know that was a thing being from the Northeast, but that makes sense considering the outside temps. I can't speak to the hotel experience itself, but the pool scene was quite nice.

Great location but they REALLY need to invest in pillows. Each visit we are frustrated with the awful pillow options and our backs and necks hurt that entire trip. Rooms are clean and great location but the walls are paper thin and pillows are just a big problem. 3 nights in a row had to listen to the couple in the next room argue then have sex loudly until 2-3am every morning. Walls do not offer any sound control. We stay here for dog friendly and great location but will probably consider an airbnb for future trips.

Insects in the bathroom. Maintenance said we lied, so we took pictures.

Terrible from check in to check out. Insects in bathroom, reported twice. Room needs a full renovation. Dirty carpets, horrible mattress and housekeeping was nonexistent. For the $50 "resort fee " you get use of the pools and pool towels. No welcome drink as advertised. No service for drinks or sun products poolside. Bar area overpriced even for the Keys. No real restaurant. Key bracelets stop working. No bell service for assistance with bags, parking $40 a night. Keep your money, book elsewhere.

The location is great. I took photos of the items that did not get fixed in our room and a mildewy life ring at the Adult pool. The hospitalty was poor and the "cleaning" was new towels and a remade bed....no vaccuuming. We could have addressed these issues if we had a working phone and not requiring text exchanges. Even the daily complimentary water became an issue. The final straw was not extending check out an hour or two to accomodate our late flight. This is a first for us. The bright spot was Karolina and her Central European charm. At dropping nearly $1k per day here, not a chance of returning.

Just returned from a four day stay at The Marker. Absolutely beautiful hotel in the best location. Short walk Duval, great coffee shop next door and surrounded by a beautiful marina with lots of dining options. The bartender, Rose' was amazing providing lots of great recommendations. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that we never got maid service the entire stay, we had to ask for towels and toilet paper. Would highly recommend despite.

The pool day pass is the way to go to enjoy the amenities in Key West. The mahi bites were phenomenal! He fries and the Caesar salad were great as well. I highway recommend for the day.

Gross, same for all customers

Property does not have one consistent vibe, but it is closest attributed to South Beach/modern. Rooftop bar has live music in the evening and good drinks while overlooking Duval street. Breakfast selection is good, but if you are used to complementary breakfast through the Marriott status, then you are only offered eggs, bacon, granola, and toast. Sadly the bacon was stale (we were one of the first, if not the very first to order breakfast, so it being completely cold and stale tells me it's not from today). We asked for coffee at breakfast and were pointed to the coffee station on the front end of the bar. Just drip coffee, nothing special. No milk, alternatives or honey, just cream, sugar and stevia. That part could be improved for it being about $400-$500/night. The room itself is decorated well and clean. Plantation shutters look great, but they do let in light in the morning since hotel doesn't have any curtains. Walls are thin as we heard the phone ring, but turns out it was our neighbor.

From the moment we arrived, Andre welcomed us with a big smile and an energy that immediately put us in vacation mode. He was professional, personable, and incredibly attentive. He took the time to walk us through everything we needed, made sure our accommodations were perfect, and shared some great local tips that added to our trip. It's rare to meet someone who delivers top-tier service with such genuine warmth, but Andre absolutely does. He set the tone for a great stay and made us feel valued from the start. It was late night and there was not much available. Miraculously, this place ended up our final destination after 4 of us were on our phones for literally at least an hour. We ended getting to the place nearly 10:30 pm. The staff was AMAZING!! The place was beautiful with a location right in view of the water. The rooms we got were impeccable. Crisp white sheets, fluffy white towels, plenty of bottled water in the mini fridge. Poolside, they offered cool individually wrapped facial towels, sunblock, sunglasses wiping cloths, and much more. Their restaurant was ocean facing and very nice. We ate breakfast there 2 days in a row and it was wonderful. The only issue was our beautiful view was blocked by cruise ships on both days. The ships were there until nearly 4 pm... that part was definitely not good planning for the view. But for watching sunsets after they were gone... ohhh my goodness. All in all, a fabulous place, sensational customer service and respect. But do expect it to be on the pricier side... well worth every penny.

The property is filled with hammocks and tree swings, perfect places to drink your FREE coffee or tea from the lobby every morning. You know what I loved more than all the free beverages (lol)? The fact that we visited in the middle of summer and didn't get bit by a single mosquito! How is that even possible in Florida during summer??? They must spray & have mosquito repelling plants. Or super powers. Our room was cute and clean. We got the standard room (no upgrades) after the Hyatt screwed up our reservation and we were scrambling to find accommodations last minute. But ya know what?! This place was so much better! I can't rave enough about Eden House. We are definitely staying here when we come back!

On top of that the room is almost closet sized with an exposed shower and sink which makes it feel very humid in the room. Theres barely enough space between the bed and wall to walking into the room. The shower also hadn't been cleaned with a piece of old soap stuck to the floor and bug crawling under the pillow when i moved it.. I brought it to the attention of the man working the front desk who first told me it was a queen. The GM came on later that evening and admitted that it wasn't a queen and offered us a slightly larger rom but same size bed. Again the sink was in the room and it was stuffy and humid which made it hard to sleep more than four hours. I canceled the room after one night and tried to get my money back, but they've refused. Do not stay at this hotel. The "queen room" is basically just a hostel at hotel prices. $260 a night in my case.

It was a relaxing Oasis just two blocks from the hustle and bustle of Duvall, allowing you to partake in all the day and night activities, but then escape back to your quiet, peaceful place to unwind! The room was much larger than we expected with a large living room area with desk and mini fridge full of different drinks, with more drinks of all types on top, with a variety of snacks! The bedroom was also large, with a large closet and a VERY comfortable bed in a room that darkened to allow us to sleep in one day. Both rooms had TV's if you wanted to unwind with different show types. The bathroom was gorgeous with separated dual vanities so no spousal battles getting ready, a separate water closet (also helps avoid battles :) ) , and a huge shower with a great dual shower head fixture including rain shower. Given the propensity for high temperatures in FL, the AC in this place was great and ceiling fans kept the room as cold as you wanted. The pool areas were little botanical wonders full of great foliage, comfortable lounge chairs and just gorgeous serene surroundings. There were usually only a few adults there so it was a quite paradise to go read a book in the shade, lay out in the sun, swim or just relax. I'm not much of a pool guy, but even I enjoyed our time at this one. The lobby area is really cool with a refreshed vintage house and vintage furniture and decor. We ate at the cafe one day for breakfast and got great service and a pretty good meal. The staff was mostly friendly with a few more mellow younger folks, but some really nice housekeeping staff who joked with us! The only issue I could see is potentially the parking. We got lucky and found some on street spots but if not, I couldn't tell if they had enough parking and it's a little pricey at $30/night. This kind of quality doesn't come cheap, but we will absolutely splurge and stay here again if we return to Key West and have already told others about it!
